New thread - the one where we stop being pregnant and become new mamas! So close to the end. Exciting!

Woohoo! Glad things are moving for you Christine. Nothing like threat of induction to get contractions started. Wishing you well x

strandedabroad · 18/08/2016 21:29

Congratulations Sloth!!

strandedabroad · 18/08/2016 21:30

Hoorah Christine - thinking of you!

Christinedonna · 18/08/2016 22:11

Leaking quite a bit now. It seems brownish/green. Is this something I should be worried about? I feel like she's poohed and it's coming out in the liquid

Laineypopps · 18/08/2016 22:26

Congratulations sloth - fabulous news!! - and welcome tabby!!!

Eeek, christine! How scary and how exciting!!! If you are leaking brown/green it can indicate that she has pooed so please get yourself to the hospital!!! Good luck due date buddy!!!

I have def lost my plug! Just about an hour ago. Woohoo!! Been on the go all day today, totally replanted our front garden, cleaned the house, visited MIL for her birthday and did the school runs. Feeling positive!! Hopefully things ramp up tonight!!!

plimsolls · 18/08/2016 22:46

christine yes, you need to ring/go to hospital if waters are green or brown as indicates meconium and they'll be wanting to monitor everything.

Good luck! Exciting!

Seems like things are going to start happening lainey too. Good luck!

Longtimelistener · 18/08/2016 23:00

Good luck Lainey and Christine.

Christine like others have said, please get yourself to the hospital asap if your waters are brown / green as it is indeed a sign that she may have poo'd and you need monitoring.

Shanster · 18/08/2016 23:39

Welcome tabby! Hopefully you're back in hospital and making progress christine, good luck Lainey*!!!

plimsolls, did you say you think you were losing your plug? Hope something starts for you soon!

plimsolls · 19/08/2016 00:09

Thanks shanster! I'm now having fairly mild, semi regular cramps/contractions. Like period cramps, every ten minutes or so. I'm not really sure if it's the start of something or whether it's just normal late pregnancy twinges.... Time will tell! Hope you're doing OK too.

AddictedtoGreys · 19/08/2016 04:32

Good luck christine lainey and plimsolls!

I am lying in bed awake with very mild crampy pains again, very irregular. DTD last night to see if it helped move things along but if this is more BH it can fuck off!! Hmm

Laineypopps · 19/08/2016 05:22

Good luck plimsolls and greys!! Hope it turns into the real deal. Nothing to report here...

AddictedtoGreys · 19/08/2016 06:52

Nothing going on here either Sad just dull achy pains

Lou2711 · 19/08/2016 09:15

How much plug can you lose before actually having the baby Hmm I seem to have lost a few plugs worth (sorry tmi!) but other than that, nothing's happening. No "pregnancy aches", I feel normal!! I'm not sure my body knows how to go into labour Sad. It's my due date today and it's just going to pass like any other day Sad sigh

LotsOfDots · 19/08/2016 09:52

Hope all is well with those having contractions, losing plugs and leaking waters. Good luck.

Welcome tabby it sounds like you've been through a lot to get here, only s few days left before you get to hold your baby!

OohMavis · 19/08/2016 11:06

Good luck everyone. Hope everything's ok Christine.

Dull aches here too. So fed up with feeling like a harpooned whale!

plimsolls · 19/08/2016 11:15

Not much more happening here, just the cramps. Exactly like period pain. I think OH is still going to go to work later, so I hope things don't suddenly ramp up!

Hope everyone is feeling OK. I'm now making a list of all the essentials (like charging the baby monitor and figuring out how the co-sleep crib attaches to the bed, just in case!).

Christinedonna · 19/08/2016 14:16

Baby Alice born at 9:30AM after a night of contractions and about 15 minutes of pushing!

Right - c'mon, my turn next!! 😂😂😂

LotsOfDots · 19/08/2016 15:03

Congratulations Christine!

quitecrunchy · 19/08/2016 15:08

Ooh it's been all go on here!

Comgratulations sloth and christine! Anything much happening lainey? Good luck too to everyone else having cramps, losing plugs etc. It's all quiet on the western front here at 39+4!

Hi tabby and welcome. Sounds like you've been on quite a journey to get to his point. Almost there!

OwlinaTree · 19/08/2016 17:21

Congratulations christine. What a cutie. Lovely name too, it was on our short list.

plimsolls · 19/08/2016 18:15

Congratulations Christine! Sounds like a lovely birth and she looks adorable. Lovely name. I hope you're recovering well and enjoying getting to know your little daughter!

I've been contracting all day and lost my plug this afternoon. Currently having one moderate contraction every 5 minutes or so. Just waiting for OH to get home from work I need a cuddle! I'm not feeling ready for this at all, was convinced baby would be late and definitely not early.

Still, deep breaths right?

plimsolls · 19/08/2016 18:16

I never did get round to perineal massage! Oh well.

Sophia1984 · 19/08/2016 18:22

Apparently it doesn't do much anyway plimsolls.. Tearing was one of my biggest fears but I had a a 2nd degree one and it honestly wasn't that bad :-)

Laineypopps · 19/08/2016 18:25

Another glop of lost plug today, however, i am now wondering.... DH and I dtd on wed night, I lost a big whack of plug last night and again about an hour ago. Tmi - snot like and copious but not bloody. Could I have misinterpreted plug for DHs 'deposit'? Can't think of it happening before!!!!! Sorry for tmi!!! 😳😳😳

Got some tightenings but no real pain or pattern to them.
