Wishing sneeze births asap to those who are getting thoroughly fed up of pregnancy. Can't wait to see you on the other side. Flowers

There seems to be a break on the babies arriving!! Due date tomorrow!! MIL and FIL still off on their hols for 3 weeks Thursday morning unless anything changes before Inwhich case they will hang around a few extra days!
Decided I'm probably going to accept the offered sweep tomorrow mainly because of the serious itching I'm having over my bump! I have a red raw and raised rash come up and it's driving me insane!! Sudocream seems to give temporary relief but without peeling my actual skin off I'm not sure how much longer I can go on without going completly insane!!
Hope all the new babies are doing well!!

quitecrunchy · 09/08/2016 23:11

Hi all, 38+1 here and no signs at all yet. Anyone else expecting their first and still not quite feeling like they're really truly going to have a baby at the end of all this? I'm super excited to meet my little one finally but part of my brain thinks I'm just going to stay pregnant forever!

Lou2711 · 09/08/2016 23:19

I feel exactly the same crunchy!! I don't feel like I'm ever going to go into labourHmm

Laineypopps · 10/08/2016 00:16

plimsolls I had it done with hot wax with no strips this time and I can honestly say it wasn't sore. It was a bit nippy when she 'flicked' each bit of wax up at the corner but really not bad at all. No pain, redness or irritation after either.

Seems to have gone a little quiet on the birth announcement front! Sending oodles of labour vibes to all of us still in waiting.

Ellie I have the same all over my bump! I have been using Aveeno Skin Relief and Cussons Bump Lotion which take out the heat for short periods of time. My sympathies and empathises to you lovely as I am climbing the walls with it too!!

greys can I just say that I am also a huge, huge fan and totally addicted. Planning on watching all box sets again during h the midnight feeding hours!!!

I am really suffering with swollen feet and ankles. Didn't have this with DS. I am normally a skinny ankled, size 2 or 3 person with dainty wee tootsies and now I resemble a slightly less hairy hobbit! My fingers are swelling too and i can't put my wedding rings on. It's awful. Thinking of giving mat outpatients a wee ring tomorrow of its not down. I am 39+6 tomorrow and the only thing is that if they are worried they might want to induce as I am so close to date. This would mean I don't get a natural hypno delivery. I have no other worrying symptoms - my BP has been ultra low all pregnancy. My next mw appt is Monday. If anyone has any advice, I'd be very grateful.

LotsOfDots · 10/08/2016 04:55

Sympathies to those of you near term and fed up - they are such long days!

lainey if you have had a sudden increase in swelling I would get it checked out before Monday.

ellie that sounds so sore, as if pregnancy didn't throw enough at us! Hope sweep goes ok.

Kstar8 · 10/08/2016 07:06

Congratulations to all those who've have their lovely arrivals already! Love the photos of all the weeny ones.

Lainey I've had swollen feet and hands for about 3 or 4 weeks now (I'm 38+6) and took my rings off a month ago. I can only get flip flops on at the moment Sadnothing else, which is actually wrecking the arches of my feet. My midwife checked them but wasn't excited in the least as everything else is fine ( I wasn't having headaches or vision changes, heart rate fine etc). It's been very hot in the south of England which makes it worse. It's normal in pregnancy to retain water ( oedema) especially in hands and feet. Sudden and severe swelling is concerning but mine was not like that. My right foot definitively resembles a hobbit foot and my ankles are sore from the swelling. Foot gel and someone to rub it in are helpful Grin but do seek advice to put your mind at rest.

Worst sleep ever last night, even for me. Worried about reduced movement and as soon as I got the idea in my head I couldn't sleep. Got DH to put his hand on my tummy and got a few reassuring kicks but now waiting for them again trying to give her gentle prods and nothing. Going to hospital at 2 for s sweep but if I'm not happy before then I'm going to phone and see if I can go earlier. I'm 40+5 so getting anxious that I shouldn't be left too much longer if somethings not right in there. I wish they did scans more than twice in a pregnancy!

Dileas29 · 10/08/2016 07:26

Whoops failed connection my phone sent that twice, sorry

AddictedtoGreys · 10/08/2016 08:46

lainey have watched the whole series from start to finish 3/4 times Grin

Ellie2008 · 10/08/2016 12:39

lainey thanks I will get some tomorrow if this sweep doesn't get things shifted! Have had a few mild pains this morning and having not had any Braxton hicks or anything I'm hoping it's a good sign! I am also struggling to sleep as my hips hurt from laying on my side the whole time. Midwife due to pop over later this afternoon I have a feeling she may get an earful!!

On the swollen feet side mine were horrendous until I found a lovely person who has been doing reflexology on them. It's amazing!! Aslong as they are careful where they massage as there are a few points to avoid as could bring on early labor..... But mine where like elephant stumps and haven't been able to wear anything but flip flops for the last 5 weeks but when I have a treatment I get my skinny feet and ankles back! If you have anyone close by its definitely worth a try to anyone suffering :)

Laineypopps · 10/08/2016 12:47

Thanks for the advice folks!!! Woke up this morning and def have the definition back in my ankles and feet not so puffy. Not too worried now - think it's more the running about all day and swelling up at night as I have been on my feet. I will look for someone to do reflex at short notice - if not, hubby will be on duty with some cooling foot gel ha ha!!!

Weather is so rubbish today and DS and I at getting Cabin Fever. We are museumed, cinema'd, soft played out but weather is too yucky to go to park or on a lovely walk. It's windy, cold and really wet. Need to get out house but struggling to think of ideas!!! DS is happy and content with anything, he is a wee love.

bexh83 · 10/08/2016 13:30

I feel the same Crunchy its my first too and I keep looking round at all the clothes and chaos and it still doesnt quite like there could be a baby here any day. At 39+4 today ive had loads of braxton hicks, very little sleep and the last two nights for the first time leaky nipples so it seems like its getting to the end rapidly!

I am doing my tax return while I still can..... its such a glamarous and action packed day for me today!

Slothlikesundays · 10/08/2016 15:21

Argh well had my check up today. Head not engaged, zero signs of labour, no braxton hicks and the midwife said "gosh 39 weeks, you look about 20 weeks" I'm going to be pregnant till Christmas at this rate Shock 39 weeks down.....A million more to go
Sorry for the slightly irrational post but I actually have had enough now! Not even particularly uncomfortable just so fed up!

Ellie2008 · 10/08/2016 15:23

sloth that sounds rubbish! I think I would have hurt my midwife if she'd said anything that unhelpful lol,
Iv just seen mine... Opted for a sweep and she could feel babies head and got me to 2cm! Trying not to get too excited but she seemed to think it will all kick off very soon!! Eeeek!

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 10/08/2016 15:23

Wishing you ladies labour vibes! Just wanted to say again those with itchy bumps please check with your midwife so they can rule out OC.
It's so nerve wracking at the end I couldn't wait for baby to arrive do I could share some of the responsibility with my DH and not have to be the only one responsible for them!

Dileas29 · 10/08/2016 20:20

So went to hospital for a sweep today 40+5
all change of plan.... why did I casually mention reduced movement?! I also said I'm probably paranoid and it's nothing but now been kicked out of the midwife led unit, put on a trace (when baby was kicking up a storm) and told I'll be induced on Saturday if I don't go before then....sweep done by doc with big hands and he said I'm 2cm dilated already, feeling crampy..and scared! Gutted to be in consult unit with those annoying wires on me at all time. Two midwives said they think I'll go before then ahhh lost my bloody show and now on the birthing ball. Cmon baby!

OwlinaTree · 10/08/2016 21:28

Congratulations dileas PUSH PUSH PUSH!!!

Sorry got a bit carried away there.

Section tomorrow, got to be at the hospital for 7am!

Dileas29 · 10/08/2016 22:06

All the best owl!!

MrsZumbaDancer · 10/08/2016 22:48

Baby girl Zumba was born today at 9.05am Smile 7lb 8oz of gorgeousness! Very quick labour (again!).

If anyone is hypnobirthing, no one believes you when you're actually in labour! Happened both times to me now!! Drug free birth, 2nd degree tear and stitches all good though and resting at home

OwlinaTree · 10/08/2016 23:14

Congratulations zumba! Another girl!!

quitecrunchy · 10/08/2016 23:39

Congratulations Zumba on your little girl!

Good luck tomorrow Owl, not long til cuddles now! Dileas sounds like things are happening, keep on with the ball bouncing! Hope they let you back to the MLU if all's looking complication free!

quitecrunchy · 10/08/2016 23:42

Ooh and Bex that all sounds promising! Hope the mind numbing boredom fun of the tax return helped encourage baby to get going!

Dileas29 · 11/08/2016 03:39

zumba congratulations! Trying to decide whether to get up and see if these crampy feelings go anywhere and listen to my hypnobirthing CD or to try sleep it off to have energy incase it's not..
