I made the mistake of cutting all the labels off the clothes a few weeks ago and now I don't know which size is which! I have tiny baby clothes in the top drawer up to 5/6lbs and in the next drawer what I thought was the next size up although they still look really tiny compared to some stuff for up to 7.5lbs. Confused! Will just need to see what fits when they arrive.

Is the top of everyone else's bump absolutely rock solid??? Literally cannot get any harder but the bottom is quite soft at bits, sitting down is extremely uncomfortable.

I've got pampers extra sensitive wipes in my hospital bag, my friend picked me up a bag of cotton wool in amongst a few things so I might stick that in although I have no intention of trying to use it.

Blueskygirl30 · 29/08/2016 13:31

I'm so rubbish at posting on here, I make sure I read what everyone else puts every day or every couple of days, but by the time I've finished reading I can't remember who I was going to respond to. I'm blaming the pregnancy in part for my ridiculous forgetfulness at the moment!

I hope all the sickness bugs have gone and that you're feeling better and able to eat!

April sometimes the top of my bump is super hard, which I find really uncomfortable, and then other times it's not as hard, I think it just depends where my baby is at the time.

Anyone else had really swollen feet and hands in the last week with the heat? Mine feet especially go huge each day and then go down mainly at night but I'm still really glad I've got loads of flip flops and that I bought some stretchy trainers the other day!

I had Braxton Hicks for the first time the other night, one of them was super strong and lasted about 20 seconds but I got up afterwards and had a little walk and they stopped so I stopped panicking I was going into labour. It made me think of that Friends episode where Rachel had Braxton Hicks and rushed to the hospital. I'm glad all that time watching sitcoms is paying off! Grin

Anyone else feel like time is speeding up now??

Northernlight22 · 29/08/2016 14:42

Definitely speeding up!

Northernlight22 · 29/08/2016 14:43

We're going to need a new post soon ready for all the new arrival announcements!

Figgygal · 29/08/2016 15:52

I've got cotton wool pads for hospital and will switch back to wipes when get home Smile

I need some more up to 1 month 0-3 bodysuits. Not bothering with outfits this time he's living in sleep suits until he's 6 months Grin

thistlescot · 29/08/2016 16:06

Why would the hospital get funny about wipes? I've not heard that before! I don't feel prepared yet need to get bags packed properly then will feel better!

ChatterNatterer · 29/08/2016 16:27

Yes bluesky my feet are MASSIVE! Thank god for Birkenstocks! I don't think I could get anything else on!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 29/08/2016 19:10

Tried gaviscon today to help with the heartburn and indigestion. It made me sick. Anyone know of any decent alternatives?

Hope everyone is well.

HobnobDunker · 29/08/2016 19:58

Rennies are okay if your heartburn is moderate or there's ranitidine tablets that you swallow with water (so don't just take as you need them like Rennies/gaviscon) but I got these from gp.

Are johnsons/pampers wipes okay for newborns then? I was going to use water wipes but they're so expensive, I'd much rather get the cheaper ones if they'll be okay!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 29/08/2016 20:50

Thanks, I'll pick up Rennies tomorrow.

I think the advice is that newborn skin is really sensitive so water wipes are better, but I used huggies or pampers sensitive wipes from birth with DS and he's been fine. This time I think I'll buy a pack of water wipes to put in the hospital bag and then use the normal ones we use for DS after that.

FuzzyOwl · 29/08/2016 22:12

I'm taking omeprazole for heartburn but I think it needs to be prescribed.

I'm also planning on using water wipes for the first couple of weeks or so and then changing to more generic wet wipes. DD is 15 months and even she sometimes comes out with a reaction from wet wipes and never does with water wipes, so I figure it is worth buying a couple of boxes and using them. It could be this baby's skin isn't as sensitive but I don't want to risk finding out by causing a rash and based on DD, I figure my children probably will react a bit.

I feel so uncomfortable now. Roll on giving birth!

Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend.

Kariana · 30/08/2016 08:01

My hands and feet don't look massively swollen but I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for a few weeks. It's only just too small though, I can get it on but worry about getting it off so figured better safe than sorry!

I'm starting to have a panic because baby was moving around loads all week and then yesterday suddenly stopped almost entirely. I got the odd flicker and that's all I've really had this morning too. Also been feeling a bit nauseous and had some weird, but fairly mild stabbing pains in my lower abdomen. Last time I had reduced movement he perked right up the second I went on the monitoring machine so felt like a right dope! Really hoping he starts up again in the next few hours. Sad

Redken24 · 30/08/2016 08:14

Just a quick hi.
32+2 now - Is anyone else having their bump go rock solid for a minute then back to less hard?

ChatterNatterer · 30/08/2016 08:40

Oh no Kariana

Have a sugary cold drink and lie on your left side for a bit? Then I'd be tempted to call the triage/midwives x

positivity123 · 30/08/2016 09:04

Kariana. Go on the counting kicks website. Monitor yourself for an hour after having some food and drink then go to hospital if you are worried. Mine goes quiet every now and again and I freak out every time but I feel better after sitting down and closely monitoring what is going on.

EnoughAlready999 · 30/08/2016 09:53

I was going to try using reusable wipes this time as a friend does - they're just pieces of flannel like cloth which you soak in a solution of water, lavender oil & something else and then was after use. Not sure I'll be using reusable nappies this time, only sold mine last year after keeping them for years! I think all our waste here is incinerated anyway so that makes me feel better.

My first reaction to Water Wipes was "why wouldn't you just use cotton wool & water?!"

EnoughAlready999 · 30/08/2016 10:06

Hope you & baby are ok Kariana.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 30/08/2016 11:01

Karina I went to be checked last Monday due to the same reason. She had moved position and the fact I'd been out all day had fired her out.

She was not impressed with the monitor and kicked the shit out of it Til it was taken off

I'm 34 week and 5 days

I've woke with lower back pain, stomach ache and groin pain. I do have SPD so don't know if it's that

I'm Derek btw, the one who found out at 27 week

ChatterNatterer · 30/08/2016 12:37

27 weeks?? Wow!!!

positivity123 · 30/08/2016 13:43

Hi Derek I missed your posts so didn't know that had happened. That must have been one hell of a shock. How are you doing?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 30/08/2016 14:52

I had a thread and some members here told me to come over and join as I'm due 6/10/16

I'm having a girl and so far since finding out I have got SPD and Carpel tunnel

Her head is down and she's preparing to come so hence the pain.

ChatterNatterer · 30/08/2016 16:40

Due 2 days before me Smile

Welcome Flowers

I am also expecting a girl and have SPD/PGP - and boy do I know it now!

I can't wait to be able to turn over in bed or get up from a chair without being in pain!

sherbertdibdab · 30/08/2016 16:41

Hi all. In the spirit of Derek, I'd like to join in too, just in time for the end of the thread! I'm 31+5 due the 27/10 with my first (a girl). I managed to skip 8 weeks, went for 12 week scan only to be told I was 20! I've been lucky with no SPD etc, but my morning sickness does seem to have returned Confused
