hahahaha in tears of laughter.

Anyone else not had sickness yet? The lack of symptoms is kind of freaking me out and I've got a cold so feeling a bit miserable.

I'm 5+1 today, and it's my first baby. I just took another pregnancy test because I'm so scared! It was still positive, phew. I've read so many things about it not sticking or there being first trimester issues, my boss had an MC at 11 weeks and a friend's friend had an mc too.

Any ideas for trying to chill out about it all?

neonrainbow · 15/07/2016 14:10

Charly it's also my first. I was worried when i had spotting but as someone said upthread, if its going to happen it's going to happen aprt from not taking unnecessary risks there's nothing we can do. I'm feeling quite relaxed strangely because there's nothing for me to do yet.

I haven't been sick but have been ravenously hungry and a bit nauseous by turns. My mum didn't have morning sickness so i wonder if that's something to do with it. Genetics.

Helbel82 · 15/07/2016 14:34

Hi Charly. It's my first as well and am 4+3. I've been getting quite a bit of cramping today and have been checking for any spotting but nothing so relieved. I keep reading that it's normal in the first trimester but still worrying myself!
Trying to chill out about it at the mo and take my mind of it. Smile
I've not really had any nausea yet and dreading it!

Carolann8584 · 15/07/2016 14:50

Hi, I'm 5w today, had cramping all week quite bad at night but seems to gave settled down. Nausea started today but still hungry Grin

Trying not to stress about it too much though as don't want to stress out the beany xx

NameChange30 · 15/07/2016 16:34

charlybs
I didn't get any nausea until 6+6 and it's been pretty mild. Like neon I've been hungry! I have started feeling a bit nauseous when I'm hungry but it's not put me off eating Blush And I certainly haven't been sick. Yet.. fingers crossed it continues that way!

Helbel and Carol I've had lots of cramps (pretty much on and off since I got my BFP) and both the GP and midwife have said that it's normal. Uterus is growing, blood flow to the area, etc.

Can I join? I literally just got my BFP in the loo at work...! I think I'm 4+1 going by LMP and due March 23rd. Really early days so fingers crossed!

alphabook · 15/07/2016 17:22

Ljomrs it's easy to say but try not to worry too much, it's normal for symptoms to come and go, and some people never get strong symptoms. It's still early for you, I didn't get strong symptoms (sickness etc) til about 6 weeks.

NameChange30 · 15/07/2016 17:22

I really want to go to Zumba tonight (haven't been for ages because of holiday and other stuff) but I'm soooo tired Sad

charlybs · 15/07/2016 17:59

Thanks everyone for your messages! I know it's not good for my little shrimp to be really worried so going to try and take my mind off it as much as I can. Sat at home on the sofa nursing a cold and watching films Brew

LulusMiniEgg · 15/07/2016 18:07

Deuscat, I recognise that name..... You dark horse! How exciting! We are on the same bus again! Our DS's are going to be big brothers! How are you feeling?x

AlaskanSnow · 15/07/2016 18:10

Charly I'm 5 weeks and haven't really had any symptoms yet. I'm hoping that I won't get sickness, but I think it's just a bit early yet.

I've only known for just over a week, yet it seems like it's been ages!

NameChange30 · 15/07/2016 18:12

I know what you mean Alaskan. I've known for 3 weeks and it has gone SO SLOWLY. I have about 5 weeks to wait for my scan and I'm sure that will go really slowly as well.

But as DH says, we want it to be uneventful and boring!

ahsan · 15/07/2016 18:12

Yes charlybs this is my third pregnancy got 2 kids already. I have had waves of sickness in the morning but I didn't get really sick with both my pregnancies until I was 6 weeks so its ok to feel normal now :)

LulusMiniEgg · 15/07/2016 18:15

I got my scan date through today, 22nd August, has anyone got there's yet? I think I'm going to be moved to a late feb date rather than early March one. I can't wait to see my new little baby!
I definitely feel more sick this time round and am snacking constantly but no sore boobs like before. I guess every pregnancy like every baby is different.

HmrTron · 15/07/2016 18:17

Also nursing a cold and in need of decongestants...unfortunately I think they are on the no no list! I'm due 7th March also, hoping to see this one through to the end :) All the signs are ok at the moment. Fingers crossed.

charlybs · 15/07/2016 18:35

Yes I think the time going so slowly hasn't helped! We really thought it would take a long long time to conceive because of some stuff with me. So the fact that it happened... I'm still in shock I think. Doesn't seem real!

deuscat · 15/07/2016 18:44

Congrats to all the new joiners!

LulusMiniEgg I thought you would find me out Grin

4+3 and the only symptoms are a few cramps and major bloat!! Sat here with my jeans unbuttoned!

LulusMiniEgg · 15/07/2016 19:01

I haven't been on here for a while and then saw the list with your name on it!
Massive congratulations to you all x

SuperDuperJezebel · 15/07/2016 19:28

Argh! Felt so sick today! Not sure if it's the fact that it's 38 degrees without even a breeze today in Crete, or the new folic acid tablets I've started taking which also have vitamin D and calcium in them. I've been taking them for a week and only having one a day til I read last night I was supposed to have 3 a day, so I took all 3 in 1 go. Which DH told me not to do! Sickness was so bad I could barely speak all day, picked at my food (usually eating makes me feel loads better but not this time), and basically everything I looked at/smelled/touched made me feel worse. DH and I were doing loads of touristy things today and I felt like I ruined it a bit for him. Plus I've felt really crampy all day. Sorry for the massive moan!

stardust8 · 15/07/2016 19:30

Itsmagicyouknow DD is 19 months, going on 19!! So not far off of you, were you surprised to fall so quickly too? Congratulations xx

Pixiebutterfly83 · 15/07/2016 21:14

Hi, just found out I'm pregnant today, also that I'm due on my sons 12th birthday and that my 2nd and 3rd (I have 3 children) babies were born on there due dates.

Also not the best timing as I'm also about to start my 3rd year of 6 years of study.

SecretScaryFriend · 15/07/2016 21:31

Just checking in. Hi to all the new joiners.

Please add me to the EDD list - 8 March
Thanks

neonrainbow · 15/07/2016 21:52

So i dont know if im being a cow here. I told my parents very early on because i thought it would be nice. Now every time i see them my mum makes some sort of comment about how she isn't allowed to tell anyone. Today i asked if she wanted to go to the baby stuff show and she said she doesnt know because its hard for her to get excited because shes not allowed to tell anyone or buy anything. (Ill be 20 weeks by then so everyone will know) Ive told her i dont want anyone buying anything for the baby, heck i havent even bought anything. Its too early. The things she's mentioned are moses baskets and cot mobiles not just a little baby gro.

I asked who she would tell and she didn't name anyone particularly important to the family. She just wants to tell everyone she's going to be a grandma. She doesn't appear to be that bothered about the fact this is me it's happening to and im still trying to wrap my head round it myself. She's also disappointed i dont want her to come to my midwife appointment. People dont take their mums to their midwife appointment do they?! Im a bit hurt that she said she cant get excited about it because im struggling to feel excited myself through the fog of tiredness im living in at the moment. My sister overheard my parents talking about they dont know why its a secret anyway and why they cant tell anyone. All the close family have been told now so she could just talk to them about it!
