ChoChang · 14/07/2016 21:29

Hi to all the new joiners and congratulations!

Thanks Fx for getting the list together, lovely to see so many on board.

Sorry to those with worries over scans, i know that feeling all too well and hopefully you can get repeat scans booked in soon and get your minds put at ease. Im dreading mine, but also just wish it was here so we can hopefully find out if things are looking ok this time. Gotta phone my fertility clinic tomorrow and tell them ive somehow managed to get preg naturally after all this time - maybe the 'more fertile after a mc' thing is true after all!

Wish i would go off sweet foods neon!

Hello and congrats to the newbies!

Becky "it doesn't seem sinister" means she doesn't think there's a problem. I know it's hard but try not to worry x

Cantstringawordtogether · 14/07/2016 22:13

Congrats and welcome to our latest bfps!!

alphabook · 14/07/2016 22:13

Congrats to the new BFPs!

Dustycorners · 14/07/2016 22:28

Hello new ladies!

I feel absolutely bloody awful. The first trimester is just horrible! 6 weeks today and the nausea is overwhelming. I remember it so well from previous two pregnancies and last time it didn't go completely until 20 weeks. I just want to stay in bed forever but somehow I don't think DS will let me Sad

Hello ladies,
Can I please join? I have just had my BFP with DC no2! Feel so lucky to have fallen the 1st month of ttc no2 especially as it took 5 months last time (which I know is also quick) I held on as long as I could as my periods are very irregular to test but my EDD is 15th March which puts me 5w+4 I think we conceived on my 30th birthdayCake (sorry tmi) anyway would love the support from you lovely ladies, hope everyone is well and coping with the tiredness xx

Rosey135 · 15/07/2016 08:14

Not sure if it's just all the hormones making me extra emotional but every time I go on facebook I see news about this country and the world that makes me sad about bringing a child into this mess. I wish people would just be nice and have each others and planets best intrest at heart instead of being dead set on ruining everything good and beautiful just for money, power and greed. Sorry for the over emotional early morning post! I'm sure I'll feel better by lung time!

Rosey135 · 15/07/2016 08:15

Lunch time! Not lung

PenguinTuxedo · 15/07/2016 08:24

Morning everyone!

I'm really struggling to keep up and remember who said what sorry! But I remember there's been talk of early scans. I had one at 6 weeks with my dd and they could see the yolk sac and foetal pole but no heartbeat. It was just too early because by 8 weeks there was definitely a strong heartbeat there! Big hugs to those of you that are worrying.

Regarding sickness - mine didn't go away until 38 weeks 😭 so I hope I'm luckier this time around!

If any of you are really, really struggling with sickness, there is a fantastic hyperemisis (have I spelt that right?!) Support thread on here. The girls are really knowledgeable and helpful with regards to what may help, getting the right treatment etc.

Anyone had any spotting? I'm 6w3d today and had some pale brown spotting, felt so worried when I saw it and now scared it's a bad sign Sad

Argh sorry double post! Phone told me it had failed to post first time Hmm

Dozygirl · 15/07/2016 09:04

beckylou try not to worry. All sound pretty positive so far. The hospital tests take longer to develop in general and you're still early days. Good that they could even see something at so early on. I had spotting in my first pregnancy. It can be just from where the egg implants and then a little bit of the lining comes away and then it settles down so u get some of that leaking out. And some people have spotting that lasts longer and is more frequently. Try to stay positive if u can.

Dozygirl · 15/07/2016 09:09

Cinnamon try not to panic too much. Some spotting is normal but just keep an eye on. You can try to get referred to epu for scan at 6 weeks so if it gets any worse don't feel worried about seeking help. Every area is different though. Some u can ring yourself some u need referral from gp. I had spotting with my dd but it never amounted to anything more. I was terrified though and just rested in bed.

FXSkip · 15/07/2016 09:20

Hi everyone - welcome to all the new BFPers too!! I'm currently heading away on a girls spa weekend so I'll update the list when I'm back unless someone else wants to do it! Nausea kicked in today, sitting on the train bawling about Nice, and generally the mess we're in and wishing this country wasn't arsing about with the EU. Ladies who are worrying, it won't help. If our beans decide not to stick it will be because something wasn't right. I've got my fingers crossed for all of us here xxx

Carolann8584 · 15/07/2016 09:49

Well 5 weeks today and nausea has rolled in like clockwork. Not too bad at the moment.

Trying to not to think about scans etc as I haven't got my first midwife appointment until 17.08.16 so just concentrating on today Smile

Fingers crossed and hugs for anyone worried, look after yourselves and your beans xx

cyclinggirl22 · 15/07/2016 10:05

Silly question on something so basic but ovia says I'm due 10th match but based on 1st day of last period being 3rd June and I was a 23/24 day cycle so all the websites say due 5/6th March. Is that more realistic as it takes into account shorter cycle length?

Welcome to all the newbies Smile

NameChange30 · 15/07/2016 10:07

cycling I do think 5/6 March is more accurate. Ovia uses the standard 28 day cycle length, so you need to update your due date in settings. (That's what I did because my cycles are about 30 days so my EDD is 2 days later than the default.)

ItsMagicYouKnow · 15/07/2016 10:10

It does make you wonder what kind of world we're bringing our children into. Unfortunately we can only grieve with the families affected and teach our children what it is to love our planet, its animals, and all fellow humans. Pure love.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 15/07/2016 10:14

Cinnamon I would go and get it checked out for peace of mind. Fx it's nothing to worry about.

Stardust How old is DC1? I'm 30 too, conceived the first month, EDD 14 March, DS is almost 2!

Congrats and welcome to all the newbies! Smile

neonrainbow · 15/07/2016 10:16

Cinnamon i had some very light pink and brownish spotting over the course of a couple of days after me and dh dtd at 5-6 weeks. I dare not do it again because it worried me! Poor dh!!

ahsan · 15/07/2016 10:38

hahaha neon. Thats funny think he will think 3 times before getting you pregnant again as he will have to wait a year to get anything lol. bless him.

neonrainbow · 15/07/2016 10:50

I'm going to speak to the midwife for some reassurance on monday then ill reconsider 😃 he looked pretty disappointed when i said no more for now. But he did get loads while we were ttc so hes not hard done by!
