I am currently at the airport about to get on a 4h flight and feeling queasy as hell! Just cracked out the anti nausea wristbands. Really tired too but suffering terrible insomnia. Anyone else?

PrincessIrene · 09/07/2016 09:12

Yes and no, dozy it's a tesco one where you wee on a strip and then put it in the cartridge thing which then puts pregnant/not pregnant on it so not sure it's the same as a standard digi.

I do have symptoms - vivid dreams, sense of smell through the roof and pulling cramps in my uterus. Will be testing again on Monday.

WelliesAndCake · 09/07/2016 09:23

Yes Super - I'm the same. Soooo tired all day but can't sleep at night. Getting up at least once for a wee, and waking up at about 3 or 5 and not getting back to sleep for ages... I feel absolutely shattered from about 3pm every day.

Lolly140286 · 09/07/2016 09:40

Hi does any body know when the sac is visible on scan ?

Dozygirl · 09/07/2016 09:59

Fingers crossed for u then princess 😀 as happy said frer are good for early detection x

Happygojo86 · 09/07/2016 10:21

Lolly, I think it depends but I know they can't always see much before 6 weeks. I know that at 8 weeks they can generally see a baby and a heartbeat X

Lolly140286 · 09/07/2016 10:39

Yes when I had my 1st early scan it was 5 weeks from my last period and the doc said I was 3/4 weeks . A small sac was in the screen so I was wondering did he mean from conception 3/4 weeks x

Rosey135 · 09/07/2016 10:45

Stayed up late last night drinking mocktails and I feel psychologically hungover, very strange.

Still haven't contacted my GP surgery to start the ball rolling, all the statistics about early miscarriage have put me off getting in touchis untill it feels a bit more real, don't want to have to ring them up to cancel if it doesn't stick.

I have been having crazy vivid dreams!

Seeing my dad and his girlfriend out tonight at a gig in a micro brewery, might be difficult not to spill the beans!

How is everyone today? Welcome and congratulations to all the newbies!!!

Beckyloulou100 · 09/07/2016 11:03

Rosey when is your due date? I feel the same way about making a GP appointment. It all feels like a very surreal dream at the moment. Are you expecting your first too?

Feeling ok today, tired but that's all.

Happygojo86 · 09/07/2016 11:18

Lolly I would find it strange for him to describe it from conception as pregnancy is always dated from LMP, however at 3-4 weeks not much would be visible at all. At this stage, the pregnancy is so small that its very hard to measure and millimetres can make massive differences to dating. Are you booked for another scan?

Rosey135 · 09/07/2016 11:46

Becky my due date is the 10th of March, what about you? Ye this is my first and it's taking a while to sink in, I still keep thinking maybe the tests were faulty (all 6 of them) but then I have to remember that I'm a week late with my period and my boobs are growing and sore and I'm exhausted.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/07/2016 16:13

Hi everyone!

The first tri. is full of uncertainty and frustration, and it seems to last forever!

I've had one CP and one successful pregnancy (in that order), so I'm prepared for things to go wrong, but also know that the stats are in my favour.

I'm trying to maintain a "wait-and-see" attitude while looking up baby names and researching books about pregnancy and new siblings to read with DS.

I'm glad I'm booked in though, and I don't feel I've jinxed it in any way. I'm taking a very pragmatic approach this time, I think motherhood has helped me in that respect!

NameChange30 · 09/07/2016 16:16

Ladies, I have a confession to make. I might have bought an item of baby clothing Blush Blush Blush

IN MY DEFENCE we are on holiday and it was very cute and cheap. I am not going to buy anything at home until after my 12 week scan much much later.

I realise I'm an idiot but what can you do?! It has red stripes

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/07/2016 16:26

Grin Name

Last time, I went straight out after my 12-week scan and bought a romper in the sale. It's the only thing I won't be using for any other babies, it's too sentimental and belongs to DS. Just like we won't reuse his "girl's" name, I feel like it's his alter ego Wink.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 09/07/2016 16:34

Is anyone else underweight here? I found out at the Dr's that I'm 5 kg lighter than when I fell pregnant with DS. I think that might explain the dizziness. Fizzy drinks and biscuits help though Hmm

I'm sleeping a lot better now that the shock surprise is wearing off.

zannah91 · 09/07/2016 16:56

Hey everyone, can I join? My due date is around 12th March 2017 Smile

Dustycorners · 09/07/2016 17:22

Just checking in to day hi to all the new joiners - I think it's going to be a busy group!

I had a GP appt yesterday to get a hospital referral so now just waiting for a letter re booking in appointment. The GP made me give a urine sample, which is the first time I've had them do that - the last couple of times they just took my word for it that I was pregnant. I was actually worried she was going to tell me it was negative and I'd imagined it all!

Lolly140286 · 09/07/2016 19:02

Yes I was seen exactly 2 weeks later and was 7 weeks and 2 day

Lolly140286 · 09/07/2016 19:06

And one day sorry

Lolly140286 · 09/07/2016 19:08

And at that time he said 3/4 weeks the sac was in the screen

DoubleHelix79 · 09/07/2016 19:12

Hi everyone, can I join? Smile waves

5 +3 with (fingers crossed) our first. Ha a MMC in April, so keeping my enthusiasm in check a litte until the first scan.

Is anyone else geeking out on reading pregnancy related scientific studies or is it just me? (Used to be a scientist before I sold out to the corporate world)

Happygojo86 · 09/07/2016 19:28

Double you might like the book 'bumpology' it's written in a similar style to the new scientist books Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/07/2016 19:52

Hi all, can't believe how busy this thread is!! Congrats to all the new BFPS.

Exhausted and nauseous. So jealous of those with no symptoms. I had symptoms before my bfp, only one test as been feeling awful ever since. Really hope it passes soon.

I've got sea bands but not sure if they are helping. Some days they seem to. Others, like today, I've felt awful all day.

LakeOfDreams · 09/07/2016 19:53

My GP are such idiots, when we conceived DD2 after losing DD1 we By-passed the GP. I told a little fib to the midwife and said the Dr never gave me my notes. Thought I should do things right this time but apparently you can't pre book appointments at the surgery I need to either call at 4pm to get an early next day appt or call at 8am on the day for a midmorning one. Seems like such a waste of a Dr's valuable time to make me pee in a cup and remind me that I'm fat!!

I'm so tired I napped twice with the baby today!! Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/07/2016 19:59

I napped with the baby too Lake, also twice. Unusual for him to nap without pushing in the pram but we laid on the bed and bf him to sleep. Wasn't enough though....
