Oh gosh my boobs hurt so much!! Shock

zannah91 · 09/07/2016 20:23

PrincessIrene me too. Boobs are killing me, keep getting super hot, so tired all the time, and also really vivid dreams!

NameChange30 · 09/07/2016 20:45

My boobs are killing me too. I'm wondering whether it's too soon to buy a pregnancy bra, might be a waste of money if my boobs get even bigger (they were big before I got pregnant) BUT I need them to be comfy NOW!

I've also been getting away with feeling exhausted (I'm on holiday and have been sleeping and relaxing a lot!) but going home tomorrow and slightly dreading how it's going to feel to have to get through a day at work!

I haven't been sick or felt nauseous yet, wonder if that's going to kick in or if I'm going to get away with it...

neonrainbow · 09/07/2016 20:56

Dh is not allowed to touch my boobs! I've a bit nausea this week but not enough to cause any real problems. I absolutely hate feeling and being sick so i hope morning sickness passes me by altogether.

Jjspoon · 09/07/2016 21:52

I haven't had any nausea yet but the last 2 days my gag reflex has gone in to overdrive. If I cough or put anything non food in my mouth (like to hold a pen for a sec) I start dry heaving. Yuck.

We told my oh's mum last night although I wanted to wait a few weeks more but he was bursting to tell someone bless him and it's the only person he is allowed to tell yet. I just know what she's like and very bad at keeping her mouth shut so I just hope she doesn't tell anyone!

Lozza92 · 09/07/2016 21:54

Hi everyone, got my BFP last week so I am 5 wks 2days, Due 9th March Smile

Jjspoon · 09/07/2016 21:54

Is anyone good friends with anyone they work with? I am VERY good friends with my manager, we see each other alot out of work and even have a holiday booked later in the year so I really don't know how to tell her! There's that weird line of being my manager but also a good friend. Should I tell her in work first or out as a friend?

Cloeycat · 09/07/2016 22:27

Just had my first bout of sickness- v unpleasant!

Rosey135 · 09/07/2016 23:04

My boss is a good friend too, she was the first person I told I just blurted it out when I got to work first time after I found out, I was really dizzy when I got to work so it made sense to explain! Then last night she bought me a Chinese and mocktails to celebrate, it really helped me telling someone in work! It's like we have a secret and I don't have to carry it on my own.

Jjspoon · 10/07/2016 01:24

Thanks rosey :) I know she will be happy for me but she also always (semi) jokes that she's leaving as soon as I have a baby or if I ever left. I know it'll be a really hard on work as I'm a senior member of staff and we are all under a lot of strain at the moment so I know it isn't good timing for them at all. It'll also be a surprise for her as she doesn't know we were ttc! I think I'll tell her in a few more weeks maybe out of work rather than in an official manager way.

AlaskanSnow · 10/07/2016 05:49

Morning all!

Another one to join you, I'm due 19th March with our first.
I'm another geriatric mother, I'm almost 37.

I've got the inability to sleep past 5, although when a pp just mentioned being hungry my stomach rumbled, so I'm going to get up and get a banana.
Also seem to have an excess of saliva, which is weird.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 10/07/2016 07:33

Morning all!

Welcome to all the newcomers, and sorry to those suffering already. Hopefully the nausea/sickness won't last too long, or that you find ways of keeping it in check (different for everyone, but resting/snacking always took the edge off it for me, tried the sea bands too, though who knows whether they worked or not because I refused to take them off!).

Last night while turning over in bed, I got a sharp pain in my side. I think it happened twice, once on each side. I seem to recall it happening last time, and it definitely felt muscular rather than er, uterine, and it only lasted the time I was turning over. Anyone else? Hmm

Happygojo86 · 10/07/2016 08:09

Magic - yup! Ligament pain, I get it when I sneeze or stand up too quickly.

Not feeling too bad. Having weird dreams. Not as bad as DD pregnancy when I had full on nightmares though. That said I don't really get that much chance to dream with DD up 2-3 times a night!

PrincessIrene · 10/07/2016 08:16

My boss is a family member, who would be extremely unimpressed!

zannah91 · 10/07/2016 08:23

Happy I get that pain when I sneeze, cough too hard or stand up too fast too, and it bloody hurts if you're not expecting it!! Tender boobs, tiredness, and really vivid dreams too Smile no nausea or vomiting, but I'm 5 weeks today so I guess there's still plenty of time for it to make an appearance Grin

Cantstringawordtogether · 10/07/2016 09:24

Having a lazy morning here, Dh up with the kids and I'm having a cuppa in bed. Had a mad wobble yesterday, just feeling so achey and awful and got myself convinced this bean isn't going to stick. Was up during the night with a sick tummy too so totally wiped out this morning! I had honestly forgotten how neurotic I am in the first trimester!

Dozygirl · 10/07/2016 09:34

I dreamt a gave birth a nearly 10lb baby girl last night while I was in work 😱😱 and it came out really easily. I was so confused because I was only 5 weeks so hopefully could I give birth to such a big baby haha.

Awful nights sleep with dd and she's started biting me when she feeds so I'm on tenterhooks when I feed her now. Not pleasant. Otherwise still don't feel pregnant. Sure I had sickness by now with dd.

BridgetDoodle · 10/07/2016 10:35

The nausea has hit me over last 24 hours. Trying to be glad of it....I seem to have reverse morning sickness. I'm okish when I wake and it gets progressively worse over the day. Couldn't eat my chips last night 😓

Happygojo86 · 10/07/2016 11:16

Dozy is DD cutting her top teeth? Apparently that can make them a bit bitey Confused. My DD is cutting her first two top teeth atm and I am worried she will start biting. She has only bitten me about 3 times ever thankfully

Dozygirl · 10/07/2016 13:20

Hmm I'm wondering if that's what it is. he won't let me look in but I reckon they could be.

Just poas and line came up virtually straight away. Just needed confirmation I am actually pregnant seeing as I feel so normal

ItsMagicYouKnow · 10/07/2016 14:49

Bridget That was the same for me last time, couldn't get anything down after 9 p.m. (we eat late), and when I started feeling really rotten, I'd know it was time to go to bed Grin. It meant lots of early nights and going out for lunch instead of dinner. Just make sure you eat everything you fancy while you fancy it Smile

BridgetDoodle · 10/07/2016 15:14

How long did it last for you Magic? Ill put up with it but hoping it will not hang around too long 🙏🏼 My first food adversion is butter, even thinking about it makes my mouth water to be sick! This is my first pregnancy and I'm a great eater so very strange to be experiencing this!

Happygojo86 · 10/07/2016 15:22

Omg butter tastes so salty to me. I mean I know it has salt in but I can't eat it it's so salty. I also had some of that filled pasta yesterday and it tasted super salty.

Talking of food... Anyone else doing slimming world? I am but generally doing a bad job of it at the moment ConfusedCake. Hoping to continue with it as last pregnancy I put on 2.5 stone! I would rather not do that again

ItsMagicYouKnow · 10/07/2016 15:25

Bridget I think it started at 6/7 weeks, was quite severe and then slowly tailed off around 12 weeks, and was probably completely nausea-free by 14 weeks. My aversions were mostly meat (one week I could only eat raw veg), then I got a craving for Skittles, the week after that I couldn't stand them or anyone else eating them around me... and I also couldn't get in the car in the evening. It is very strange, especially when it hits suddenly!

ItsMagicYouKnow · 10/07/2016 15:27

My staples were tinned fruit cocktail and McDonald's BTW Blush
