Hello,
Got a positive on Wednesday and had to recheck again today as I still am in a bit of shock.
Baby no2 for me, I had a c section last time and think I can feel my scar stretching inside me :/
Going to go to dr tomorrow as I just feel sore... Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

lilybobtail79 · 03/07/2016 22:24

Hi All,
I would like to join you all please. Got my BFP a few days ago and EDD is 8th March. All being well, this will be my third (and last) DC.
No symptoms as such really, just tiredness and increased appetite with the odd crampy pain.
So exciting, just so frustrated with all the waiting! only about 4 weeks so far! Looking to you ladies to chat to and pass the time!
Congratulations to all and may we have happy and healthy pregnancies x

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 03/07/2016 22:46

This is my 3rd too Lilly. Congratulations Smile

SuperDuperJezebel · 03/07/2016 23:09

MissClarke, frustrating isn't it! I had yet another chat with my DH about it and he insists he's just exhausted, and he promises he is excited. We are going on holiday on Saturday for 10 days so let's hope he relaxes and perks up then. I just had to try on all my shorts to make sure they all still fit! For those of you who have been pregnant before, any tips on what to wear in that in betweeny stage before you really need maternity trousers? Please don't say leggings... None of my tops are long enough!

Cloeycat · 03/07/2016 23:58

Does anyone have any hay fever advice? Cos oh lord is it starting to get me down. Everything I used to take is unsuitable for pregnant women and I get the most severe hayfever I have ever come across- like unbearable. I bought prevalin the other day as it says it's save for pregnancy but it makes me sneeze so severely that I think I may have strained something in my neck this evening! I will be seeing the doc on Tuesday but have you ladies any advice?

SpanielLedWeaning · 04/07/2016 06:20

MissClarke and Super - My DH is a bit of a hypochondriac so whilst I know he's excited he won't show it much until after the 12 week scan. I think he's also more of the attitude of 'yes, this is right' rather than out and out excitement.

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 04/07/2016 07:20

How is everyone doing today? Any new symptoms? I feel so sick again this morning and I've come out in so many spots!

Does anyone else still feel the need to poas? I'm still not sure I actually believe I'm pregnant.

karryk · 04/07/2016 07:34

Wishing everyone a lovely week!

Had a horrid dream last night that I'd started spotting (argh) but all fine in the real world so far Blush

I'm on steroids which mask symptoms so not much to report here apart from a rather bloated tum...I'll be releasing a button or two on the trousers after lunch! Grin

X

Dustycorners · 04/07/2016 07:40

Still no real symptoms for me, though I think my tiredness is cranking up and I'm very bloated in the evenings. I've been poas every day! Extreme nausea usually kicks in for me at about 6 weeks and I'm only 4.5 weeks right now.

Cloey I've been using prevalin for the past couple of years, since being preg with ds and bf'ing him. I found it ok, though I recently tried the prevalin plus max strength one and I find it really painful and it makes me sneeze for ages. Maybe it depends which formulation you're using? Tbh I've just got used to lousy hayfever. My GP only recommended Prevalin last time, but maybe yours will have other ideas. I find hayfever eyedrops good though.

Ilovetea82 · 04/07/2016 07:54

I've found smearing Vaseline around (up) my nose and on my eye lashes to be the most effective remedy as it acts as a barrier to prevent the allergen getting into your body.

DaisyBank82 · 04/07/2016 07:56

Morning all. I feel distinctly queasy today. So glad to have a seat on the train!

lilybobtail79 · 04/07/2016 08:11

Congratulations to you too Alwaysnever
When it comes to hayfever, I have always used piriton, have been recommended it in my previous pregnancy, although there does seem to be very mixed opinions about it so I would check with your MW/GP.
The first 12 weeks are difficult, its a frustrating waiting game full of uncertainty, I often feel the need to POAS just for some reassurance this is actually happening!
Its difficult to talk to my DH too because although he's really happy, its almost like we want a time machine to whizz us through the first bit so we are safe to be excited and make plans!

Rosey135 · 04/07/2016 09:04

Congratulations Lily!

I was saying to my partner yesterday that one moment your going about your life all normal (kinda normal) and then you poas and a 2nd line appears and your whole world changes in a matter of seconds yet physically you still feel the same (for me anyway) but then your in 12 weeks of stasis not really being able to celebrate or shout about it. I want to start planning and getting on with it now it's happened but know the risks and don't want to make things harder for myself. At least we have each other here. Still no symptoms apart from sore swollen breasts. Also think my EDD Is 12 - 16 March, different calculators say different things

LulusMiniEgg · 04/07/2016 09:28

For all those upset about their DH's responses, my husband was rubbish first time round. His response when I told him 'oh well you didn't need to panic about not getting pregnant did you? We could have waited a bit before trying' (this was a month after we got married!). But this time he is so much more excited, asking how I'm feeling, kissing my tummy and telling DC (18 months) about his little brother or sister. I understand how hurtful it is though, I was gutted first time round.

alphabook · 04/07/2016 09:32

Congrats ilovetea and lily!

I've been testing once a week with a CBD and got 3+ weeks this morning so I'm going to stop testing now. I have my early scan on Thursday anyway.

Feeling really tired and queasy today!

Jodders · 04/07/2016 10:00

Alphabook can I ask your EDD? I got a 3+ on my first test and I think it was very early to get it. Just trying to work it out. Congratulations too!

SuperDuperJezebel · 04/07/2016 10:12

Morning all, feeling super perky today, apart from a few waves of nausea! I work w children so it's always better when I'm on top of my game! Had some errands to do so I decided to go for a big walk. Let's hope it lasts!

alphabook · 04/07/2016 11:13

Jodders I ovulated on 8th June, so almost 4 weeks ago. Based on my ovulation date my EDD is 1st March. Last Monday I got 2-3 weeks on a CBD, the Monday before was when I got my BFP and I got 1-2 weeks. How far along do you think you are?

Jodders · 04/07/2016 11:20

Thanks Alpha. Based on my LMP (29th May) I'm due on 5th March. I got my 3+ last Wednesday? The doctor mentioned multiples and I'm kinda freaking out. I have been very sick too. Now on medication for the sickness.

MonkeyPoozzled76 · 04/07/2016 11:37

Morning ladies, feeling rather concerned here as had had some spotting this morning. Not a massive amount and just on wiping so far but that is usually how my period starts. I'm just over 4 weeks so very early. I've been tired and mildly nauseous since I tested a week ago but nothing much yesterday apart from being very bloated.
DH is away for the week with work and we've not told anyone else so it's good to be able to share here.
I guess it's just a wait and see situation, when I went to see my GP last week she did say I'd tested very early and it was only a 50% chance of sticking perhaps because I'm such an old bird at 39. If there is no more bleeding I have one First Response here so I'll do that tomorrow as haven't tested for a week.

alphabook · 04/07/2016 11:40

Yeah it would only be possible for you to have been 3 weeks post ovulation by last Wednesday if you ovulated really early. I bet it is twins! Hope you're feeling less sick soon and the medication helps.

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 04/07/2016 11:41

We told my mum and sister yesterday, couldn't have pass up the opportunity to have them both together. Was a bit of an anti climax of I'm honest, I'd hoped for more enthusiasm. Next person to tell is my boss in a couple of weeks time as we're going on a business trip to the US, normally boozy dinner but also think it's sensible for someone to know just in case anything goes wrong.

Dozygirl · 04/07/2016 11:54

My dp was massively shocked this time round when I waved the stick at him. First of all he said are u joking then said oh for fucks sake. First time around terrified him too. Hed have been happy never having kids but he absolutely adored our dd now she's hear and he's a great dad. He's pain to me but brilliant to her. He knew I wanted another but we only did it once so he probably didn't think it would work. He says he still feels a bit shocked about it all. Tbh I was too at the time but I'm getting used to it. Good thing is I only have to go back to work for 6 months then I'll be finishing again heehee.

Dozygirl · 04/07/2016 11:55

Sorry for those that are suffering with spotting. It's a worrying time at the beginning stages. Some spotting and bleeding is perfectly normal but sometimes it's not and only time will tell I'm afraid. I had spotting at the beginning of my 1st pregnancy and all turned out OK.

SecretScaryFriend · 04/07/2016 12:26

No symptoms whatsoever other than the absent AF. I hope all is well and I'm just super lucky.

So who will be finding out what they are having at 20 weeks? I will! If my hospital allows, that is.
