Ive had really vivid dreams too. Also felt cold how weird!!

DaisyBank82 · 01/07/2016 07:34

How are you this morning, Linda? I missed your post yesterday. I really hope the bleeding has stopped. There can be all kinds of reasons for bleeding in pregnant. It doesn't mean the worst. Are you in any pain? Really hope it's nothing, you must be so worried.

DaisyBank82 · 01/07/2016 08:35

Oh and welcome Cloey and congrats. I don't understand all the acronyms either but I usually either guess or google!

Cantstringawordtogether · 01/07/2016 08:52

Linda hope you're ok xx

Cloey congratulations :)

NameChange30 · 01/07/2016 09:01

mynameisntlinda Hope the bleeding has stopped and all is ok Flowers

2many and alpha Thank you, glad I'm not the only one!

Cloey Hello and welcome! Check out the Acronyms list. I've got into the habit of using a few abbreviations from the JS (Just Shagging) threads on the conception board, but I'll try to avoid them!
As alpha said, you will be able to get Maternity Allowance instead of SMP. The only difference is that with SMP you get 90% of your salary for the first 6 weeks, but after that it's exactly the same (about £140). If your partner's income is low (under about £20k), you might be able to get Child Tax Credit while you're on maternity leave.

karryk · 01/07/2016 09:59

Hello everyone :) I'm 39 and expecting bubba number 1.

I got my bfp last week (tested early at 10dpo due to a medication regime I'm on) and did another one yesterday (day after period due) just to be sure! I'm definitely preggo Wink

I've got an early scan booked for the 18th of July. I had a missed miscarriage last year and a chemical pregnancy too so it's been a rocky little journey but fingers crossed this time around! If all goes well I'll be due around 5th March. X

Dozygirl · 01/07/2016 10:10

linda how are things this morning? If you're 6 weeks then epu will scan you but any earlier they may not so may be worry just saying you are 6 weeks. Although they won't be able to see much so early on. Some u can ring and some u need referral to from the gp. Depends on the area. X

Cupcakemumma123 · 01/07/2016 11:25

Hello! I'm 4 weeks today with baby #2 and guess my EDD to be 10th March! So anxious about something going wrong over the next few weeks Confused X

Jjspoon · 01/07/2016 11:46

Hey again cupcake! Was on the 2ww thread with you lol :)

Fx for you karryk that everything goes well this time. It's horrible at this early stage isn't it knowing the odds are so stacked up and so many things can happen.

I'm going to test again tonight with a clearblue that physically says 'pregnant' as my OH was a little sceptical about the faint line on last test. I'm nervous even to test again!

I thought I was so ready and would be calm and collected but as soon as I saw that line I turned in to a nervous wreck! It was such a surprise though was not expecting it to happen already at all so hopefully it'll start to sink in more after another test!

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 01/07/2016 12:44

Hello all the new joiners!! Exciting times... I've called this morning and booking booking appointment and scan for 12th and 30th August respectively- seems FOREVER away! EDD according to person I spoke to is 13th March.

hergutfeeling · 01/07/2016 12:45

Hello everyone and congratulations :)

I got a BFP on Wednesday which pretty much confirmed what I have been feeling since 6 DPO.

Pretty excited but I don't think it has sunk in properly yet. Do you think it will feel more real once we've had our first scan?

Cantstringawordtogether · 01/07/2016 13:32

Oh yeah scan makes it real alright! I've mine August 9th, I'll be just short of 11 weeks so not toooooo long to wait!

alphabook · 01/07/2016 13:45

Congrats karryk, cupcake and hergutfeeling!

Jjspoon I had to do a CBD straight away, I don't think I'd be able to believe it without seeing the word "pregnant"!

SecretScaryFriend · 01/07/2016 13:53

Linda - thinking of you. Hope you spoke to the EPU or equivalent to get some advice. Flowers

Nice to hear there are some fellow co-sleeping mummies here too. I'm still bed-sharing with my DC and she is still breastfeeding but not often these days! I can't imagine feeding a squishy newborn. Smile

Sparrowlegs248 · 01/07/2016 13:54

Wow the thread is filling up thick and fast now. I just did the one test, a boots dip stick sort and it came up good and strong straight away. I have my booking in appointment on the 28th July. Unsylure of dates as wasn't keeping track, wasn't ttc....... But dtd once and job was done! Most unlike last time, when it took over two years.

Karry I am 38, we had an old birds thread last time, we were all late 30's. Are there any other 'geriatric mother's' here? That's what was written on my notes last time!!

mynameisntLinda · 01/07/2016 14:00

I'm afraid I'm out ladies. Went to a&email this morning and they did blood tests. Epu called me as I got home to say that the hormone levels were only 24 so my body is getting rid of the pregnancy.
On the plus side it's not ectopic, I'm not in lots of pain and I don't need intervention. Just another appointment at epu on Thursday for blood test to confirm I'm negative at get discharged.
I feel ok for now,but maybe it just hasn't sunk in yet. Just keeping in mind what I'm thankful for and will give dc and dh an extra big hug this evening and take a week off work.xx

Good luck to you all with your pregnancies, sorry I couldn't stick around xx

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 01/07/2016 14:13

SecretScaryFriend · 01/07/2016 16:37

So sorry to hear that, Linda.

Dozygirl · 01/07/2016 16:44

Sorry to hear that Linda. Sending u hugs.

Welcome to all newbies.

Who was complaining of being cold?! I'm definitely the opposite. I was roasting when I was pregnant with dd and she was born in August which was horrendous so I'm looking forward to it being cold this time round. I've stayed a very hot person since having her.

NameChange30 · 01/07/2016 16:56
