Yes I agree pears are very good for constipation but mix with bananas as too many pears, send you the wrong way as I found out this morning!! But bubble loves them!!

BristolLFR · 18/06/2016 10:52

Anyone suffered from dead legs? Not sure if it's a preg thing, or just sleeping funny. I'm at my mums, so not my usual bed, but have slept in it plenty of times before without suffering. Woke up twice last night with a dead leg and had to silently manoeuvre myself out of bed and stamp through the pins and needles to not wake up DH. Was so sore!

Stargirl84 · 18/06/2016 12:52

Hi, can my due date be amended to 21st Dec please?

Anyone else suffering with bleeding throughout pregnancy? We've had four scans so far and everything seems ok but it's scary...

AppleMagic · 18/06/2016 14:34

Hi oddsock! I moved from east to west England when about 22 weeks with dc1 and have just moved across the Atlantic this pregnancy! They'll do another booking in type appt for you - it'll be fine.

Stargirl I've got a large subchorionic haematoma and have had several large bleeds. Even though I know the baby is probably OK each time I still find it really stressful seeing the blood. I had one with dc2 and bled from 11-14 weeks and then my body reabsorbed it and he's now a strapping two year old.

Lovewatchingrainfall · 18/06/2016 15:28

So my DH is really pushing me to tell his parents about the baby, he is seeing them on Wednesday and I have told him that if he wants to tell them then tell them, I will be 15weeks by then. We have still not told our toddler. I don't see why he feels the need to tell everyone! I have told my best friend but that's it he has told his whole workplace. I just don't seem excited at all. Don't know why, I'm not excited about anything not interested at looking at baby bits or anything. Should I be happy?? Doesn't help when he tells me I'm looking fat, I was on the larger side anyway but didn't need him to tell me this.

The lack of sleep does not help, and just being uncomfy. Plus trying to look after a toddler.

Hope you all are well and enjoying the weekend.

hiccup223 · 18/06/2016 15:29

Bristol I've been getting pins and needles in my feet while in bed and full dead legs (knee down) when sat on the loo. I don't know if it's related, but seems odd and can't remember it happening before. I've just been drinking loads of water to try and avoid it turning into cramps as I've heard they can be awful through pregnancy!!

LittleBear01 · 18/06/2016 15:32

Stargirl, I've had 3 red bleeds. The first (7 weeks) unexplained, but possibly from cervix as I'd had an internal scan the day before. The second (9 weeks) from a subchorionic hematoma, and the 3rd (12 weeks) no definite cause. I've also had quite a few days of brown bleeding in between. But thankfully baby is fine, and I'm 15+4 now. Bleeds are terrifying though, and I really hope that none of us have any more. I've had 5 scans now!

SouthDownsSunshine · 18/06/2016 15:55

I'll try the pears for constipation. My diet is still restricted by nausea which doesn't help. Lactulose isn't an option as I have a dairy allergy.

I now seem to have a prolapse as well. I've been feeling a bit 'heavy' for a few days, but a morning of walking and pushing the buggy up hill seems to have triggered it. I could cry, it's so frustrating. I'll be going to the gp on Monday I think, for both things.

The glamour of pregnancy [cry]

BowSurprise · 18/06/2016 16:15

Hey guys,

I've also had dead legs whilst sleeping and think it's because I've been on my back and they say that can effect blood flow to the legs. I don't seem to get it when sleeping on my left side as advised.

peanutbutter2409 · 18/06/2016 16:53

SouthDownsSunshine I'm finding apple juice helps - the proper stuff, not from concentrate. The consultant also suggested glycerine suppositories.

blush Shit I forgot there were dads posting on here too!

Grin made me belly chuckle

TinySalmon · 18/06/2016 18:09

Hi Team! Quick question: we are on holiday and apart from crying about how I look in a bikini right now, I was wondering if it's safe to sunbathe with belly exposed?

I looked online and most advice was just sunbathing should always be handled sensibility pg or not. I want to know if direct sun exposure on belly will harm the baby?! Does anyone know? X

SolomanDaisy · 18/06/2016 18:10

oddsock, I have the same due date and have been feeling flutters!

Lovewatchingrainfall · 18/06/2016 18:16

Tiny as far as I know as long as you suncream and keep up with fluids your okay. Just don't sunbathe in the highest heat so like midday

puppythedog · 18/06/2016 18:40

I hope it's not problematic me being here. I'm the only fella and as a health professional no one could say anything to embarrass me, but I understand a fella being here might cause you pause before sharing. I hope not though.

bumbleclat · 18/06/2016 18:43

stargirl I've had 2 red bleeds both times baby was fine after scan... I read somewhere that your body still thinks it needs to have a period in the first trimester (sorry not scientific) just don't drive yourself mad with worry like I did when everything is probably fine. The consultant at the hospital told me that 7/10 women have bleeds all through their pregnancies.

SouthDownsSunshine · 18/06/2016 19:23

tiny when I sunbathed whilst pregnant with dd, I made sure I drank enough, and I covered my tummy with a towel/t shirt. Probably not necessary, but I didn't like the sensation of my bump getting hot. IIRC, the main thing is to keep your own body temperature low, so no getting sunburnt or heat stroke, and plenty of liquids.

TinySalmon · 18/06/2016 20:22

Thanks love and south xx

Bigfam · 18/06/2016 20:40

puppythedog you're fine here, honestly. I'm completely comfortable to share all my less than glamorous woes.

TinySalmon I agree that as long as you keep yourself hydrated and be sensible you'll be fine to catch a nice tan, maybe send some of that weather our way though?! It can't seem to make up its mind here... much like me about everything ATM

puppythedog · 18/06/2016 20:55

Thanks Bigfam.
Just don't want to ruin anyone else's opportunity for support. It's a luxury for me and a privilege to Be a part of the group.

Stargirl84 · 18/06/2016 21:11

Thanks bumble, little and apple. It's just such a worry, especially at 14 weeks when there seems to be no obvious cause identified in any of my scans.

SteffiMuse · 18/06/2016 21:40

Stargirl I've been bleeding for three weeks now and nobody knows what it is. I've had about 4 scans and had swobs taken from cervix and uterus. It is very scary but hopefully everything will be ok. I'm always listening to the heartbeats with my Doppler which is lovely.

becciandbump · 18/06/2016 21:55

Think we've just made a huge schoolboy error 10% off pram we like in fenwicks so ordered it as they said they offer full refund if something goes wrong with baby. DH adamant that my Vauxhall Astra had a big boot and it would fit. Now home and looking at the shape of entrance to boot which is slightly curved and totally panicking. So It's an emergency dash to mothercare in morning as they allow you to try them in your car there. Whoopsie!

TipBoov · 19/06/2016 08:27

What pushchair is it becca? I'd have thought you'd be fine with an Astra! We managed to get a big icandy in a Corsa with no issue. Not much room for shopping though

bumbleclat · 19/06/2016 08:47

I officially love post vomit non nausea (how my joys have changed since becoming pregnant!)
Just heartily brought back my whole breakfast and am revelling in not feel like I'm going to be sick.
Is pregnancy just a whole 'managing our expectations of pleasure from now on' experience.
A few months ago it would have taken alot more Stilton, wine, coffee, shopping trips to make me this happy!
Confused pregnancy, you really are a big weirdo.
