Had my scan this afternoon and all is good :) Got our anomaly results back after an hour and they are very low so reassuring.

Updated EDD is 28/12/16 so it might be a new year's baby!

grapefruit no announcement on fb and there won't be. I've had almost five years of feeling like I've been kicked in the stomach when I hear that someone else has managed to get pg (happy for them, but too much of a trigger of what we didn't have but wanted so desperately) so I don't want to be the trigger for someone else.
Having said that, we haven't told anyone yet really, only close friends that asked directly (they knew about the ivf) and we've asked then to keep it to themselves.

Hannah I'm 15w today, so where's my energy boost?!?! Still collapsing on the sofa every night.

Just off to the gp to see about the headaches.

Hiding, I am glad your results have come back ok. I am sorry you are feeling such anxiety, it very hard to switch things off after your previous experience. I really hope the hospital allow you the consultant led scan at 20 weeks. It should be the only option given your previous experience I think. Thinking of you. *

MrsJoJo*, your osteo may already have mentioned this but during my last pregnancy I was given a back support belt to wear under my clothing as my back got worse. It was a vile thing, but it did really help relieve the back pain, particularly on days when I was standing and teaching all day.

Energy levels wise I have found I have had a lot more energy in the last week or so (now 16 weeks). Nothing like normal, and I can't be faffed with a lot of things but I do feel better than a few weeks ago. Hopefully it arrives for everyone else soon.

For back ache, apparently that tape that athletes use is good in pregnancy. Maybe get a professional to advise the first time. I'll probably be using it for rib pain, that's already started 😣

I am feeling so tired this week! Wondering when I'll perk up a bit... I'm 15+3 so thought I'd feel better by now!

I've announced the pregnancy now, it feels good to not have it as a secret anymore.

Feels like ages away until the next scan! Mines at 21+3!

Don't hate me but first pregnancy I did glow. Great skin, great hair on my head, hair growth stopped everywhere else, no nausea.

This time round it's not going so well!

We're not doing a big FB announcement, just letting the grapevine work!

My downs test is low risk but is 1 in 700 and something. It didn't seem that low to me but when you put it into percentages...

I'm almost 16 weeks, time seems to be flying now!

It's funny how there are just 5 weeks max between us all but it feels like we are having to wait AGES to get to the stage others are at!! Roll on the 20 week scans!! Xx

Just back from swimming, it was my first bit of exercise this pregnancy. It felt amazing, lovely to stretch out in the pool. I'm going to try to go more regularly now.

My downs risk is 1 in 13,000 but was 1 in 1,500 with DS1 which seems like a really big difference.

apple I was being a muppet, that's what happens when I try to read post whilst entertaining DS! All results were back and all nice and low

TMI....

My bum is broken :( the constipation has got so bad that I'm now bleeding when I poo. Lots of blood and pain :'( :'( :'( I don't know if it's a tear or piles.

Take my advice ladies and avoid constipation at all costs. The pain :( the blood :(

Thanks guys, that's what I thought if there was an issue I probably would have heard. I'll leave it a few more days and see if the results do turn up eventually!

I haven't done a big announcement on FB, but at the same time it's not secret. After we do the 16 week scan I might put something up, but with the others I've always just casually mentioned rather than putting a proper announcement post.

southdowns that sounds horrible.
I've had constipation definitely not helped by the fact that my breakfast lunch and dinner has been marmite on toast for days on end (my poor intestines)

Have you tried all the classic loads of water/fruit/prunes thing?

Hello everyone - I've popped over here from the Nov club as have an amended DD of 2nd December (do I count??)
Am so glad I seem to have reached the end of sickness this week (touch wood!) as its been horrid this time around (2nd pg) AND excitingly I think last night I felt my first 'flutters' Anyone else?
2nd scan due 13th July (DDs 2nd bday!) but am a bit nervous as we're in the middle of a massive move cross country and I'm going to have to change all MW and antenatal care - gah!

Pears are good as a stool softener, drink lots and lots. Might be worth taking lactulose which won't make you go but will soften stools.

Nb pears should be taken orally :-)
