Hi all - wow these December babies threads move fast! I posted on the first but have been lurking since. I've had 2 bouts of nasty tonsillitis and was convinced a raging temp and all the antibiotics would have done the baby no good. 12 week scan today though and so far so good! Due date of 11th Dec!

The mix of wonderfully happy posts and truly devastating ones really bring home what a roller coaster this pregnancy malarkey is! Thinking of you all.

hi all. nice seeing all the scan news, I've got to wait until 13th June when I'll be 13+1 counting down the days at the moment as it seems ages away.....

Insertwitticismhere glad to hear you're feeling better after tonsillitis, it is very nasty, I didn't realise til dd1 had it last year and at night she'd struggle to breath, hopefully you won't suffer with it again! Lovely scan picture.

The darker jeans are before the lighter is about 11.5 weeks. I feel like it's a proper bump but don't know if that's just me ?!

Hi girls, Had scan this morning, unforch my sonographer lady was right moody moose! But just glad I saw baby and heartbeat (albeit very briefly) My scan picture is terrible too baby was upside down and wouldn't budge!! It also looks very squished up :/ Bit pissed off it wasn't a lovely experience but I guess it was in some was because babe is all ok :) Also dates have been brought forward again so I'm due on the 5th too Azure83 Thanks Eskerina81 think I'll just have to wait....... :)

I'm 11 weeks today and still hadn't heard when my scan is going to be, so I rang the hospital today. Turns out they hadn't received my referral from the midwife... (hmm)

So my 12 week scan will be more like a 14 week scan! I had an early one at 8 weeks but the wait is killing me! Anyone else still waiting for their scan?

I'm very confused about my bump (I'm 12+5). It comes and goes, so must be bloat? But it never goes completely. Someone said if you can suck it in and it doesn't feel hard it's not baby bump, but sometimes this is the case and sometimes it's not!
Could it just be weight I've put on due to drastically reducing exercise? I'm a size 8 and wasn't expecting to show for ages, but when does the bloat go and the baby bump appear? Is there a period of time when the bump goes before the proper one appears?! A friend said I might show earlier because it's my 4th pregnancy, even though I never got as far as a bump before? This doesn't make sense to me though.
A friend of mine is 16 weeks, also size 8, and you can't see anything!!

Thanks barking not long now!! My bump is deffo all bloat/fat!! Stargirl84 thats really crap of them, my scan today turned out i was just over 13....

azure lovely scan, glad everything is going well.
I have my scan tomorrow morning and I'm terrified that something will be wrong. It's irrational as there's no reason why anything should be wrong but there we are...
I've also had dreadful pains in my feet for the last few days. It's dreadful when I wake up but it eases as long as I stay on my feet. Anyone else suffering with this?

Marks place, midwife appointment is friday morning and private scan booked for Friday evening, real 12 weeks scan is Tuesday and consultant appointment too, special ivf bubble on board, fingers crossed all is well, bubble last had its pictures taken at 8 weeks on 10/5/16, I was very surprised to see bubble had got bigger and had a heartbeat and was perfectly well as I've had gastroenteritis since the day after I found out I was pregnant, 17/4/16, so thought there was no chance I was possibly still pregnant, let alone that bubble was well and healthy, I'm on day 6 or 7 of eating for England, lots of cravings!!

Hey I'm new.
Been for my dating scan today and I'm 12weeks and 5days so I am due 9th of december. Couldn't belive how much detail there was to see and how glued I was to the screen I didn't want it to end. This is my first baby and I've been reading the post since I found out I was pregnant . X

All good at the scan. Had bloods done and now waiting to see the consultant. Measuring 12+6 but as it's IVF they still go from the implantation date, so EDD hasn't changed from 9th Dec.

Awww some lovely news today. And lovely scan and bump pics. I have just got home from work, ahhhhh the relief when taking off my work trousers! Guess I won't be wearing them again!

How has everyone announced their pregnancy to close family and friends?!
Our parents don't know and if all is ok I am thinking of giving them a Christmas type box with the scan pic inside and saying their present is going to take a while to deliver but here is a picture. Anyone got any good ideas?

hannah we've not told the parents yet but that is a brilliant idea!

I love the box idea. We are going to get a balloon and give it to our DD with a photo frame saying big sister. She is only 3 so not sure she will understand.

The in laws I am just going to drop into conversation that there hopefully will be one more at ours this Christmas so we can't go to there's.

I will phone my mum and tell her even though I know she won't be happy.
