I've pm'd you too Loosleyloo!

Told our three boys yesterday and took them to Build a Bear today to get them to create the baby's first toy. Bought tears to my eyes seeing all three kissing the hearts (one each and a vibrating one for luck lol), filling the bear and then giving it a wash & brush. They've named the bear Cuddles!

It's so joyful seeing all three so excited about it all! I just hope my step-sons' mother doesn't sour things for them as my son is so, so happy!

BristolLFR · 12/06/2016 20:34

Question please...

A couple of people have mentioned getting mat wear already. I've just posted a separate question about dresses for a wedding when I'll be 18 weeks. Do mat dresses look a bit daft if you don't have much of a bump yet?

I'm on my first baby so not got a bump yet (just a thicker waist and a bit of chub) but need to buy a dress a few weeks in advance of the wedding. I want to get a mat dress so it has some longevity, but don't want to look daft / over eager in something that looks unecessarily roomy...

BristolLFR · 12/06/2016 20:38

Ahh that's beautiful mrsjojo!

Rubixx · 12/06/2016 20:40

Bit late to the game but checking in.

SouthDownsSunshine · 12/06/2016 20:45

bristol it depends on the dress. Those with longer fronts do look silly until you have a big bump. But there are others that don't. IME a nice maternity dress flatters an early bump more than a normal dress would.

BristolLFR · 12/06/2016 20:49

Any styles you'd recommend southdownsunshine?

firawla · 12/06/2016 20:52

That's such a lovely idea mrsjojo

SouthDownsSunshine · 12/06/2016 20:53

I'd suggest one with large pleats under the boobs rather than one that fits tight over the bump.

Lovewatchingrainfall · 12/06/2016 21:05

Bristol It also depends on the type of wedding. I'm going to a wedding in two weeks and it's very formal so had to buy a formal dress however it is lovely.
If your able to go to Cribbs causeway the big Mothercare there had some lovely dresses in store. However I find Bristol is hard to shop for maternity clothes. JoJo Mamman be has some lovely dresses too.

becciandbump · 12/06/2016 21:36

Ive ordered a few mat dresses from serpharine online and they seem more stretch than excess material I think one would flatter a small bump rather than swamp it x
