babydreaming that's awful of your work to say such a thing! Feel for you too nojo. Like Mrsjojo I'm in marketing and events and work mostly at a desk apart from a couple events a month. A lot o box carrying and stand set up involved but work have been great and have made sure I don't over do it. Not quite as organised with the risk assessment stuff but I wish they did as our car park is up a steep hill too and I'm finding it really hard! After a week on my feet last week at a big event my bum was really sore yesterday after sittting at a desk all day! Blush

You too becciandbump and everyone else in demanding jobs. hope work eases up on you and you get some more breaks off your feet. X

Nojo82 · 07/06/2016 09:08

hannahcarp27 that's great. I had my scan last week and my baby was so active, it's wee legs and feet were going mad. I just thought uh-oh I've trouble ahead lol..
Anyone going to find out the sex of their baby?

HannahJH · 07/06/2016 09:18

Congratulations Hannah that's amazing news!!! Hoping it's a good week for Hannah's!!!

Good luck to everyone else having their scan today xx

Morning all.
Just wondering if anyone else is consultant led? I have a thyroid problem so I have to be. My midwife said id be called to see the consultant at about 24 weeks but I've had an appointment through for next week. I'm a bit worried about why, I'll only be 15 weeks. Any ideas on whether this is normal? At my first appointment, the midwife was a little worried about my heart rate but now I'm worried there's something a miss with my bloods, not heard anything else back. Don't see the midwife again until the week after.
Anyway, I hope everything's ok with all my fellow mummy's to be x x

lovewatchingrainfall · 07/06/2016 09:55

This time is going so slow, if I look at the clock once more and see that the time has not moved I may scream, I have my scan at 4 been awake since 5am so it seems like it is going to be a long day.

Good luck to all those with scans today. X

Rosie your blood results normally come back within a few days and I think you should be able to call your midwife or gp to check if they can see the results. Consultant wise I think they normally aim off for it taking until a certain amount of time to see one but sometimes clinics are quieter so you may get seen sooner. I've asked for an ELCS this time around so I'm seeing a consultant after my 20 week scan at the end of July. Don't think any of that is helpful but basically call if you're worried!

underrugsswept · 07/06/2016 10:12

Rosie they told me that they start working on the bloods ASAP (mine get sent to London which takes a day or two) and if you're high risk you get a call straight away. If you're not, you get a letter in the post in 7-10 days. Mine were done on Friday so they couldn't send them over the weekend - they'll look at mine tomorrow (Weds) apparently.

Bigfam · 07/06/2016 10:26

KITKAT PLEASE UPDATE MY DUE DATE TO THE 9TH GrinGrin
I was dreading the scan thinking I'd my due date would be moved back loads, it's been moved forward, by over a week from the 17th (and on dp's birthday!)
I'm now officially 13+4!
baby has his/her hand up & at one point we saw feet crossed over each other, the lady said it looked like a little buddah Smile

Loving all the pics! mine was only 2 weeks ago but already feels like a lifetime. NurseRosie I was also consultant led initially as got referred for being underweight with BMI 17 at booking but she saw me once and discharged me back to midwife led care and said I should be fine! She asked for me to have a scan at 36 weeks though to measure baby which will be nice.

firawla · 07/06/2016 12:10

Had my scan this morning too and all was fine, so very happy! My dates were put back by 2 days to the 18th too - I expected them to go back a bit and 2 days is not much really! I will put my scan pic up in a min.

rosie I'm consultant led as well and have an apt at 16 weeks with consultant I thought that's about the typical time, so hopefully nothing to worry about

firawla · 07/06/2016 12:20

Here's one of my pics, sonographer said baby is sticking it's tongue out here!

firawla · 07/06/2016 12:22

And another - I've been trying to look at the nub on this one to see if I can get any ideas, but still pretty clueless!

Bigfam · 07/06/2016 12:39

Where is the nub?!?

firawla · 07/06/2016 12:40

I think it's the bright white line?!

Bigfam · 07/06/2016 12:54

Apparently baby decided to play hide the nub at our scan

MrsJoJo · 07/06/2016 13:00

I'm consultant led too - pre-eclampsia and a rare complication in late pregnancy last time. Think I have to book the appointment after my 20 week scan and GD test so they are advising about 26 weeks (will check this when I next see midwife next Friday as my brain is turning to mush this week!).

I see it as a positive thing as you get additional care and monitoring. My first pregnancy was overseas and I only ever saw a consultant!

becciandbump · 07/06/2016 13:24

*lovely scan pics, nervously waiting for the staff bus to take me over to our other hospital for my scan

Had my dating scan a week early due to bleeding. Both twins wriggling about. Unexplained bleeding but their both doing well. Due date is now 19th Dec.

Lovely scan photos everyone

tisilisa · 07/06/2016 14:29

Lovely scan photos everyone.

Nojo82 we're planning to find out the gender at our next scan.

I work on my feet all day too and poor DP is feeling neglected as all I do is sleep as soon as I get to sit down at home.
I asked the doctor about the pain in my feet and apparently I have dropped arches so need to get some orthopedic shoes...sexy...not!!

becciandbump · 07/06/2016 15:38

Baby was a little tinker bouncing around but sonographer was lovely and said baby looked perfect x
