So my DH calls me and says he will be home early can I do dinner for 5pm and can do what ever I fancy. So currently laid on the table is pancakes, with a selection of bananas, melted Chocolate, raspberries, strawberries, ice cream, fresh squeezed lemon, sugar, golden syrup, and honey. Think he will be shocked and he did say I could cook anything.. Hehe at only 12weeks think I fancied Pancakes. Oops

On another note how do you ladies cope in the heat??

SouthDownsSunshine · 06/06/2016 18:01

Hi from a sunny south of France!

Long jeans are sold on asos.com, they have a tall maternity range which is great, as you'll need longer tops as well.

underrugsswept · 06/06/2016 18:19

Thanks for the rights advice.

I REALLY want pancakes now! Grin

underrugsswept · 06/06/2016 18:19

Errr... tights Blush

Looseyloo411 · 06/06/2016 18:23

I have the opposite problem, I'm 5'2 so always to long for me and short is way to short.
H&M maternity stuff is amazing, I lived in it!

BowSurprise · 06/06/2016 18:33

Lovewatchingrain I think I have something similar. Bad pain at the back of my knees but only when I move. Feels almost like I've done too much exercise but I certainly haven't! I wasn't sure if it was pregnancy related or not. Anyone else got this/ know how to sort it?
Becci you sound very knowledgeable.

I am 13+6 and starting to get excited now

weechops · 06/06/2016 18:36

lovewatching your pancake dinner sounds amazing! Yum!
We had pasta bake. Well I say we but only the biggest chops ate it! Middle chops ate the garlic bread and toddler chops is a fussy bugger so had half a tin of Peppa Pig pasta. That's nutritious right? Grin

NotAClue82 · 06/06/2016 18:45

Ohhh I'm following all the comments on maternity clothes with interest!
It's nice to read all your good news. Sorry to hear some of you are still puking - I am, too, so I sympathise!

NotAClue82 · 06/06/2016 18:46

I keep on eye out on this thread for my twin buddy Steffi, I hope she is okay! I know she had her scan last week.

Azure83 · 06/06/2016 18:53

grapefruit my edd was put forward by six days! I was expecting a day or two as my cycles were something like 25 days long but quite surprised. I'm glad though, I'd like this one to be out well ahead of Christmas.
I had the combined screening last week, results arrived today and all is low risk.

love watching I had pancakes last weekend! I had them all to myself as unfortunately DH was away.

Angshore · 06/06/2016 18:54

Wow lots of scans tomorrow! Mine is too! Very excited but nervous, my sickness is really bad at the moment so hoping that is a good sign! Good luck everybody xx

Thisisbonkers · 06/06/2016 19:25

I was sick again this morning, too. What's all that about? Angry

Good luck for those still awaiting scans!

Mrsthedog · 06/06/2016 19:51

Puppythedog is putting Tillythedog to bed and so I am staring at the bag that contains our takeaway curry.

ConfusedConfusedConfused

Mmmm pancakes.

TinySalmon · 06/06/2016 20:14

So jealous of pancakes. I ended up having nachos.

Scan all good today - apart from the normal pics we got this amazing one of a detailed little leg. I was amazed at how formed it looks already! foot, calf, knee, and thigh !!!!

TinySalmon wow that's an AMAZING picture.
I remember with dd3 we got one of her foot, I'll see if I can find it.

Homemade cottage pie here, fussy ds got stuck right in for a change

Firsttimer16 · 06/06/2016 22:23

TinySalmon that's incredible detail!! Wow what a great picture.
We had a private scan today as still a while until our 12 weeks scan and DH wants to tell parents this weekend, so wanted some reassurance. All looking good so hope it stays this way! Looking forward to it being a bit bigger and less alien like at 12 weeks scan!!

Peacocks was really handy for longer maternity jeans/trousers last time I found.

Waiting for combined test results at the moment, I will be glad to get them through.

Pregnancy pillows- I had one from mothercare which was three separate pillows in a long pillow case with compartments for them. I am still using it 2 years on as I can't bear to give it up, it really helps with back pain. Need to replace it soon I think.

Nojo82 · 06/06/2016 22:56

Going off a wee bit here but was wondering if anyone else works in a job that has them on their feet all day. I've just come home from a split shift. 11 hours in total on my feet all day, heavy lifting and I've literally sat for about 40mins all day. I came home not being able to walk, so sore all over.. not easy at all.. in agony..

Babydreaming · 07/06/2016 00:39

Nojo I do!! I work in a&e. I do 10 hour busy shifts with max 30 min breaks. I've just finished a shift and I'm on an 8 day stretch finishing at 12.30am. Then I start nights again next week. Work have been unsympathetic and just told me pregnancy isn't an illness so there's no reason to reduce my shifts.

Nojo82 · 07/06/2016 02:47

Oh you joking Baby dreaming.. you could do with a few days off in between. some of my work colleagues have been great others not so much. My own fault I suppose, I should've rested between my shifts. Up now in middle of the night coz my knees are in agony.. I might have to give up these splits..

FluffyPickleMonster · 07/06/2016 04:21

Bloomin' insomnia! Have been awake since 3am, grrrrrr! My brain won't switch off now I'm awake. Have my scan on Friday and getting worked up about it. Great to see lots of great scan news on here though. I've had no symptoms for three days, trying to convince myself that it's a good thing but hard not to be paranoid.

I can't remember who was asking about long maternity trousers, I got my new mat jeans from next in long length, I think they do xl length too.

MrsJoJo · 07/06/2016 06:56

Hello to all the newbies & good luck for those of you with scans today!

My sympathies go to those of you working on your feet all day! I work full time and am mostly desk based but I also work events (I'm a PR & Events Manager). Our biggest event of the year is this Saturday and I have a smaller one next Thursday - I'm working six straight days and already know I'll struggle next week. My manager & colleagues have all been fantastic and I'm now banned from lifting boxes & assembling furniture... The thing I'm struggling with most is walking from my parking space as its a good 10-15 walk, mostly uphill. I usually walk lots but this is now a real killer every morning (it's downhill at the end of the day lol).

Does anyone else have maternity risk /desk assessments? I had mine on Friday and now have one every six weeks to make sure my changing needs are accommodated. I was quizzed on everything from my desk height, commute, hours and general work duties - anything I struggle with will be modified as far as possible. I might not be sick but I know that I just can't do some of the things I usually do without making myself feel awful! No idea who will take over some of my duties but they know it's ultimately my department's job to share things out - selling it as an opportunity to cross train lol!

MrsJoJo · 07/06/2016 07:39

On another note... Telling the kids at the weekend - how can DS miss this bump? Since DS I'm usually more curved round my middle but have always been a comfortable size 12. This dress does accentuate things nicely though - from a Spanish maternity shop called MitMatMama (we went to Barcelona a few weeks back!)

nojo82 im on my feet all day and have started with a bit of pain in my buttocks I find myself trying to sit down at every opportunity or leaning against something. We went walking in the lakes last weekend and had to go up some quite steep steps and have been regretting that since!
