heaven is where good people go... where there is lots of chocolate and cakes and free shoes and everything!!!

You cant beat a good bit of old fashioned silliness on a friday!!

1becomes3 · 19/01/2007 11:41

Gmm- loved your rant!
If she is so bloody skint why doesn't she sell the Dog?

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 11:43

why didnt she get the thing in the first place?????

She is trying to sell 4 bar stools.. in pine and metal... "not matching but look nice together".... dear god!!!

Katy44 · 19/01/2007 11:45

You mean like an interior designer? Good idea - will advertise today.
How is BigOnion doing today? I haven't seen him for a while, and although I don't need anything, could you send him round just to cheer me up? I'll even feed him and walk him while he's here (sure I found a left over tin of pedigree chum when I was clearing out the cupboards).

Katy44 · 19/01/2007 11:46

PMSL at "not matching but look nice together"....
How much does she want for them?
What would my interior designer think?

nuttygirl · 19/01/2007 11:50

Morning all. Tried to post yesterday evening but it seems to have lost it. Probably my internet connection playing up.

Have made a few notes today, just have to figure out what I mean on them!

Maveta - congrats on GTT test results.
SOSPL - sorry to hear about your problems with the boiler, hope it gets sorted today.
GK - poor you getting locked out but lol @ fire engine pulling up!!!
CD - sorry you're still not very well, hope you feel better soon (and anyone else feeling under the weather)

Talking of weather, it's not quite as windy here today but unfortunately part of garden fence blew down yesterday (not surprised as it wasn't exactly held up by anything) - DH will have to do a patch up job this weekend.

Ironing vs toilet - probably toilet as long as i don't have to do the rest of the bathroom. It's not normally an issue for me, I get DH to clean bathroom and iron and wash up and the other housework we share - aww have just realised I'm a bit of a slave driver really .

Waxing - I used to have my legs and bikini waxed every 6 weeks until the person who used to do it moved. Haven't found anyone else as good and just can't do it myself (think it's the fear that it might hurt makes me pull too slow!) so have gone back to shaving when I can be bothered. DH doesn't mind if I look/feel like a monkey so I'm not too fussed

Oh and I agree 2 moses baskets is excessive...can't she just carry it down the stairs???? That's what I'm gonna do.

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 11:53

doubt a high class interior designer would want to get his hands dirty doing meanial tasks such as painting and glossing... I'm thinking colin and justin... best advertise for both...

nuttygirl · 19/01/2007 11:53

Wow, there's free shoes in heaven...do you think I could get a free day pass?

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 11:58

Perhaps bigonion could take you?

I have to say that I am slowly loosing my love affair with shoes... mainly due the the fact that

a) I cant get any of my knee highs zipped up
b) anything with fastening is out as I cant reach my feet
c) all pretty shoes that I have are now too high and too narrow!!!

1becomes3 · 19/01/2007 11:59

My poor gold fish yesterday it was the flood that nearly had them.
Just looked out the window and a cat has decided because the water in their pond is high it's going to do a bit of fishing!

CaptainDippy · 19/01/2007 12:04

Just popping in to see what madness has been going on in my ten minute abscence - not a lot - I'm sure they'll be plenty to catch up on later though!!

Going to go and wake up DD2 up (!!) and give her dinner before picking DD1 up from Pre-School....

claricebean · 19/01/2007 12:15

Bramshott, GMM, GK, 1b3 and CD. Thanks for your hugs. I have had a bath, washed my hair, put on make up and generally tried to make myself feel more presentable (clearly nothing can be done about the whale look below the bust line!) and now I do feel a bit more human.

Picking up DDs at 2pm so hopefully hugs and amnesia will get us through this afternoon.

Flump - when are you due and do you know the sex? Didn't see you on the stats thread, or have you had a name change?

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 12:17

righyo ladies - off to listen to whale music and practice beathing.. be back after lunch

Katy44 · 19/01/2007 12:25

eeeeeeeeeeehhhhh ooohhh oh oh oh

just singing along top gmm's whale music

nuttygirl · 19/01/2007 12:26

Claricebean - I'm impressed...all I've done today is have breakfast and eat chocolate!!!

hotlipsmummy · 19/01/2007 13:15

Afternoon ladies - have caught up with the thread and lol at all the conversations!! Obviously not the ones tho... Whilst I've not posted much I do enjoy reading all yours!!

GMM - you would have taken the words out of my mouth with your rant if I had known about that. Hate that sort of behaviour although generally there is nothing wrong with getting a bargain or freebie, of course!

Claricebean, hope DD2 is better this afternoon and at least its the weekend! I have struggled with DS this morning and he's only 19 months! Its like living with Andy (i think?!!) from Little Britian - "Want that one" - all the time!! And screaming tantrums if he doesn't get what he wants or if he changes his mind and my glass ball doesn't tell me that he wants something else!! AAAHHH!

Not much other news - the Pramette is on ebay with the accessories listed seperately. No bids on buggy yet but the accessories have a few - M&P don't sell them in the Boston Check material anymore so there may be some interest... Anyway I've not sold on eBay before (DH has) and its really additive and exciting!!!

Also have managed to book myself an appointment for a hair cut tomorrow lunchtime - will be my first cut in 7 months and can't wait!! Am hopeless at booking appointments with enough notice to actually get a slot so am DESPERATE. DS had his done this morning (cue tantrum) for the first time in 3 months - it was half way down his back so we'll be a much more attractive family this weekend!

right am going to get on with a few chores whilst ds is asleep (not ironing or toilet cleaning tho - have a cleaner for that! ).

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 13:35

looks like I have started a riot on the sale board.. happy days!!

claricebean · 19/01/2007 13:39

Well DD2 seems to have forgotten about this morning, so you were right, Flump. Actually, I'm sure it's stored away to be used at some later date (probably with her therapist in her 20s -LOL).

HLM - congrats on having DS's hair cut. My DS (24 months) screams at having his washed. the sight of the clippers is enough to make him hysterical. but his hair really needs a cut now.

nuttygirl, oh yes - forgot to mention the large-intake-of-chocolate part of my morning

Tili · 19/01/2007 14:22

hi all.

havent had chance to catch up properly as dd is poorly at the moment with a chest infection so just grabbing a quick five minutes peace.

I think someone mentioned a few days ago?? (not sure who or when this thread moves so quick) about urine infection. I had a few with bethany.the worst was when I was about 30 weeks and I hadnt felt her move all day so I went to hospital the put me on a moniter where you push a little button every time you feel a movement.Well I gave them a wee sample and then got hooked up to this moniter.after half an hour I started getting strong braxton hicks that started coming every 15 mins.It turned out I had a urine infection and I had to stay in over night incase I did start to labour !!! I was petrified.

luckly this pg I havent had any infections but im always paranoid about it.

any way going to attempt to catch up fully lol its not going to happen really is it so much goes on on here!
speak laterxxx

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 19/01/2007 14:30

You go to bed for the morning and the thread goes mad! Have had lovely long sleep 9-1! Still feel a little rough so am going back soon - not before have been on the for sale boards though! Don't worry about it GMM

Bramshott - a spinal block is one injection - had one with my section - epidural is one that got topped up - had one with last ds - would go for spinal block - much quicker and straightforward - also if doesn't take will just knock you out with general anayway! DON'T PANIC

Claricebean - Ihave days like that with my ds's and my dh is here - bug hugs xoxox

Can't remember much else - need to go back to bed soon xoxoxox

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 19/01/2007 14:37

Can't find anything on for sale apart from your thread GMM - can I ask how on earth you know where other people are posting? The technical stuff still eludes me - will get the photos done later!

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 14:40

At the top there is a function called search all threads... you can entre someones id in there and then it will bring up all the messages that they have posted. There is a post called FOR SALE where it all kicked off as the seller stated as she was entitled to that she only wanted to sell to regular MN'ers.. the silly girl that kicked off has no been banned though.

hensden · 19/01/2007 14:50

Hello all,
goodness I,ve missed so much, scanned through last thread and read through this one DD on 2nd video neglected thanks to MN. Will try to post more, now it's getting so real, DH and I have been in denial, think he still is. But I, thanks to all your shopping talk, have started to buy buy buy, his denial will end the day the credit card bill arrives.. We are having a blue bundle and have still not told DD or DS they just think i've eaten too much chocolate. I lost two and half stone between Dec and July last year after a comment from DH (I just get slim he gets all rampant and look what where I am now)
Hairy bellies - not this time, but with my first I had a thick hairy line from my pubes to my b.button, and my face looked like a panda as all the skin round my eyes turned dark brown.
Toilet vs ironing neither really DH irons his own shirts since If I do iron I do things inside out so all his creases went the wrong way, oops. Our downstairs toilet is for boys only so DH cleans that DS wees everywhere (walls, floor) just lets it dangle no aim.
the girls toilet upstairs is sweet and fresh and just doesn't get dirty????
Loved your pics, you all look so young and glam, I'm an old haggered bat from Kent who'll be 40 next year
I would add a bit about spit/swallow but i'm too
I will post more often so that I don't have to bore you with an epic again
Hugs to all
Lynda

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 19/01/2007 14:56

Hello Hensden!

GMM - not suprised she was banned and that other one beginning with L - she is a bugger too! Do you have the pop up from birth or the bubble one btw??!!

geordiemacminx · 19/01/2007 15:00

Its the pop up one.. that is more flat than the oval one? Readsome reviews that they oval one isnt suitable from birth and that once they get a bit migger they can tip ti over? The flat type one that I have ordered wont last a huge length of time.. but its something we wil use quite a lot as family in north east and east coast of scotland..

infact its this one

cot

ours was £35 from boots, but as mentioned yesterday they have a lot of offers on at the moment with advantage points so it was worth it... comes in pink and blue too.
