Katy44 · 16/01/2007 16:17

More than 10 surely? (that's threads - I'm not still confused about number of weeks left!)
Have just bought chocolate mmm. Forgot the hot chocolate though
motivation - I think I've completely forgotten what that means!

weeonion · 16/01/2007 16:19

hey gmm - didnt mean to ignore you! how could i! once we are both off work - yep i do intend to drive to uddingston. be prepared for numerous phonecalls en route "heather - i by the side of a roundabout - where from here??" i finish in 8 weeks so we should aim for an earlier trip in case either one of us goes early/ u see my post on the scottish thread about our spa meet up?

maveta · 16/01/2007 16:19

GMM - only 6 weeks???!!! Not fair! Off to sulk now and count the days, hours, minutes until I am off.

Only work 3 days but in the last week I have really found 8 hours sat at a desk is becoming uncomfortable. Baby often digs away to let me know I am squashing him but am finding it hard to see the screen/type/ work AND sit back so he isn't squashed.

I've not even started and I'm a bad mother.

weeonion · 16/01/2007 16:21

katy44 - glad the chcoolate stock is replenished. i was worried we would have to get some airlifted this evening... get dp to get the hot chocolate on way home - reserves are needed.... i read someone that a mug of it with sugar can be good to get bumps moving so - it actually is a necesity??

CaptainDippy · 16/01/2007 16:24

Good news about the Chocolate Katy - Did you go to the GP and get a pescription!!?

This Bean kicks soooo much harder than my other two ever did. Perhaps it is a boy!!?

WO - would love a copy of your lists as so far have done frig all. Email Add is [email protected].

Maveta know excatly what you mean about sitting in front of a screen - so consequently i have found out in the 3rd trimester you can't sit, you can't stand and you can't lie down - they don't tell you any of this in Bounty.

Has anbody been lying on their backs at night? Does it matter if you lie on your back with about 3 pillows supporting your head????

YvieE · 16/01/2007 16:33

Katy44 would you say chocolate is your craving? Everybody keeps on asking what mine is - but i don't think i have one

geordiemacminx · 16/01/2007 16:33

Was hoping to finish end of march but my contract has finished so end of feb for me.

WO I will come to where you are and you can follow me the first time until you feel comfortable then you have no excuse when the LO gets here!!! Saw the post about the spa, head is up my arse at the moment, got so much to organise, so many busy weekends but we should try and get something organised.. I will fone Becky when I get a minute and see what she can do for us.. even if its only an afternoon, lunch wee bit of shopping and a massage or something...

CD... my little boy is kicking loads.. have nothing to compare it too mind.. but at 25 weeks it is quite strong.. especially after biscuits and chocolate!!

Maveta... I think the next meet-up should be at your place!!! Where abouts are you again.. mallorca... is that the same as Majorca... sorry I'm probably being really thick now.. and I'm not I promise.. I'm off to Barcelona in 4 weeks!!

maveta · 16/01/2007 16:34

Yvie - I know you aren't supposed to lie on your back but I don't know how you are supposed to stop yourself. I always start on my side but usually wake up with a distinct feeling that I have been lying on my back for quite a long time.

How can you not do it, if you do it when you're asleep??!

maveta · 16/01/2007 16:40

My boy kicks a lot and hard too.. does this mean if I have a girl next time and she hardly kicks or kicks softly I am going to be a bundle of nerves wondering if she is still there the whole time??

Hold on. Did I just say next time? Let's get this one out the way first...

Yup Mallorca is Majorca. It kind of mystifies me, and always has, why the double ll is changed to a J in english. It doesn't make any sense. If anything it should be a Y as the proper way to say it is MaYorca. Hearing people say MaJorca makes my ears bleed. And of course I am all up for a meet up out here!!

Speaking of which, who was mentioning us having to get summer bods back in shape quick sharp? By end of April it's highly likely for me that all jumpers will be well stowed away and by June the only thing hiding my poor deformed body from the world will be some flimsy item not up to the job. I figure I'll be housebound anyway so what will it matter??

I guess I'll be a pasty old thing this year, can't see when I'll get to go to the beach, if the bub would be a couple of months older we could all go but I don't think it's really so doable with a wee one as small as he will be. Muuuuuuuuuuuuummmm, fancy looking after your grandson...???!

1becomes3 · 16/01/2007 16:43

Feeling alot better today, although I still have a terrible cold. Thank god my mum heard my silent cry's for help and has had DD for the whole day!
So I gave myself the day off.

Can't wait for DH to get home and moan that the house is a bloody mess, so I can say "the maid had the day off"

I have my app with my consultant tommrow, so fingers crossed he will be able to confirm the sex's this time.

i am shitting bricks, although babies have been giving me hell, poking arms, legs and everything out of my tummy(it is like watching something from alien!)
I still worry that something will be wrong.
I know that there isn't but it is that little voice in my head that keeps saying "high risk" to me.

Any way hope you are all good.
There are just too many posts on the other thread to catch up now, will make more effort one day i promise

geordiemacminx · 16/01/2007 16:44

I went to magaluf a good few years back on an 18-30 job.... wish I could remember any of it......

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 16:47

Yvie - I suppose it is my craving, but I'm probably only eating slightly more than not pregnant!
maveta, had exactly the same thought today about being a bad mother! (me that is, not you) When I'm at home and bump kicks I'm all excited and try to feel/see the next one (and get DH to do the same). At work I was so busy that every time s/he kicked I ignored it! Felt really guilty when it occurred to me that only a week ago I was desperate to feel a kick as bump was very still - that's when I decided I was a bad mother. Think it's time to start counting down the days...

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 16:48

Good luck for tomorrow 1b3, I hope you finally get the sexes confirmed, we'll be waiting!
Please try not to worry (easy to say) xx

geordiemacminx · 16/01/2007 16:50

Katy... I gave you a wave on the meet up section.

Good luck 1b3

YvieE · 16/01/2007 16:54

My LO is a real girlie girl already - although she moves around alot she doesn't really kick that hard. I'm really low down as well so don't get any of this kicking in the ribs that some of you get- instead I feel it quite alot down there...you know where

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 16:55

Just been clearing out a kitchen cupboard (making room for the milk expresser lol) and found the leftover halloween sweets stuffed at the back - milky ways, mars bars etc
Lesson for the future - look at the back of the cupboards!!

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 16:56

gmm, thanks for bumping it! Hope you can make the meet up in Feb - if it's still happening.
Yvie, I get those kicks too, very odd sensation at the moment, I'm guessing it eventually just becomes painful!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 16:56

Blimey, I turn my back for a wee while, and you gas bags are off again!

Hope you are all well. Amusing mix of chat as ever!

BBCK, hope you are feeling a bit more re-assured now.

Katy, pleased to hear you are still stuffing the chocolate!!

Maveta, know what you mean about sitting all day. My arse feels like it has been kicked if I sit too long. Have to keep standing up and wandering around.

Re sleeping positions; they don't recommend sleeping on your back as the weight of the baby can cause back problems (never!?) but as has been said, it can't be helped if you find yourself on your back. I often do when I wake up in the night

Right, need to get Becky, so will be back on later. x

YvieE · 16/01/2007 16:57

1B3 - hope you feel better - i know its hard not to feel apprehensive but everything will be fine tomorrow and hopefully this time you'll find out the sexes for definite - Good Luck.

weeonion · 16/01/2007 16:59

katy - cant believe u! there was chocolate there all the time and here I am sending a st bernard your direction with a small barrel of melted chocolate in yr direction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
