maveta · 16/01/2007 14:27

Weeonion - that must be horrible, I sympathise completely. You MUST take it easy, on my orders of course!

Yvie - that cracked me up, the idea of a deadline for things to be bought - or what, the baby doesn't get them???! ROFL. Sorry, it just tickled my funny bone.

I am also very bored at work and still 2.5 hours to go..zzzzz..

MIAM I had the same with my dh on saturday, I went for a shower and came out to the house phone ringing and several missed calls on my mobile 'WHERE WERE YOU, WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER THE PHONE'. My God man, I have to shower.

Ange - hope your day brightens up, it must be hard not to get anxious given what happened last time. Just spoil yourself and use any excuse going to relax and take your mind off it, if you can.

Pesha · 16/01/2007 14:50

Am def feeling like an oap too. Said to dp am dreading getting old if this is what its like all the time, at least I know it'll all be over in a few months. Am especially bad in the evenings when ive been sat down for a while, i seem to stiffen up and takes me an age to stand up straight!

Every post i keep meaning to say welcome back Eca and glad you had a lovely time although sorry you not doing so well now you back.

Katy44 glad to hear you'll be restocking your choc supplies later luckily i was inundated with chocs at christmas so am still doing pretty well but really felt for you last night. Although forgot to say anything about it but was thinking of you i promise

Me and dp have been together 4 1/2 yrs but on and off and not living together which i think has helped keep us 'keen' Until now anyway

WO - glad you're managing to have a nice relaxing time in bed now. And as someone already said WTF were you doing on a bus at 5.30am??? (although they said it nicer than that!)

And on the prams front, that does include lightweight buggys as well as proper pram/pushchairs and i have a double buggy too. And you shouldnt need that many really, think me and elliek may have slight pram fetish problems! But have just bought my 3rd buggy as hated the last one, was really hard to steer and heavy and horrid and have gone for a maclaren um something gold flag bugger forgotten what it is! Was £50 instead of £75 on kiddicare anyway and would def recommend maclaren, they are abit more expensive but SO much easier to push and lighter and seem to last so much better than any others. I am loving mine although worrying a little about ds loving being in it so much still cos 3 months time he gonna be walking everywhere whether he likes it or not!! Well he may be lucky and ill have baby in sling but september he starts school and so def wont be going in pushchair then.

claricebean · 16/01/2007 14:52

OMG, I can't believe how much there is to read from one morning!! How do you girls manage it? Are you all at work and bored? Right - off to read thread now and will write again when I've caught up.

PS Thanks for all the P&T advice, especially CD. I've ordered the green one. Fugured Spain's a good place to go BRIGHT!!!!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 15:04

Pesha, we got our maclaren techno from ebay, and it is brilliant. Bit worried that dd will want to be pushed everywhere again, even though she too will be going to school in September. I may get a buggy board, to avoid any tired tantrums. I know people have said they are a pain as they keep kicking their shins on them, but I would rather that than have a tantrum!

Since getting stuff out from dd's old room, dd seems to be regressing, or pretending to. She wants to play babies all the time, and told me this morning that she had done a poo in her nappy! ( I am ashamed to say dd is still in a nappy at night time,as she drinks like a fish and I cannot bear the thought of getting up to deal with a wet bed!) Saying that she has been dry a few mornings which she is well chuffed about!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 15:06

I think we need a new thread, as this one is taking an age to load, even on the work PC. Anyone able to do such a technical thing? And come up with a catchy name??

claricebean · 16/01/2007 15:15

Ok, Have read most of today's now.

MIAM/BT - thanks for thinking about me. Yes, DH is away for 32 more days (we have a chart on the fridge to cross of the days. i say it's for DDs but really it's for me - LOL!)

BBCFK - have you had any more movements? Are you still thinking about going to get monitored? When's your next appt?

WO - sorry to hear about your fainting. Hope you're feeling better.

Hello to everyone else. Things here are fine. DS napping, DD1 doing homework and DD2 playing with wooden castle (and speaking in an American accent for some strange reason - she's 4; perhaps I should stop her watching Playhouse Disney!! - no CBeebies here).

Mild SPD kicking in for me now. I had it with the last 2 pgs too. Hope it doesn't get worse before DH is back to take over all the walking.

maveta · 16/01/2007 15:16

Oh yeah, and I forgot. This morning when I was walking to work I blew my nose and 'leaked' a little

It's not happened to me before! And now it feels like the baby is kicking me directly in the bladder and I could pee myself at any minute!!

GODDAMIT! Why didn't I keep up the pelvic floor exercises??! Must do them , must do them, must do them...

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 16/01/2007 15:26

Have been to be monitored at hospital as movements have been slow and all okay - managed to see my own rather vague midwife but she did a trace and heart rate fine. she didn't have much to say about lack of movements or him being back to back for so long - is that reasurring??? I think he has maybe found a nice snuggly place to sleep and decided to stay there - I know I would!

Have also been to toys r us and changed cotbed - why I didn't just go there and buy it in the first place I really don't know - online shopping isn't always what it is cracked up to be - with deliveries etc - I have only really just got into shopping online and find it quite frustrating - much prefer to go and get it from shop. You will be proud of me though - did not buy anything else while I was there! Hoorah!

Dentist at 4.30pm then playgroup committee meeting tonight - meet up tomorrow - if don't get on later and it's cancelled could someone please let me know on my mobile - zero, triple seven, one, double eight, four, seven three, one - its Vicki btw! Otherwise see you tomorrow at Jump at about 10.30am - I will make a sign to put on a table!

maveta · 16/01/2007 15:27

Why is it whenever you admit anything even vaguely embarrassing everyone disappears and it goes all silent??!

claricebean · 16/01/2007 15:28

BBCFK, glad the monitoring shows all is well

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 16/01/2007 15:29

LOL claricebean - talking in american accent

Maveta - join the club - I pee when I sneeze

WO - wtf happened on the bus?

Catch up tomorrow xoxoxoxoxoxox

Bramshott · 16/01/2007 15:36

Sorry, haven't been on much recently - all been very busy here with DD's 4th birthday at the weekend, and loads and loads of work to do. Can't believe I only have 10 more weeks to work before D-day - I work for myself so I really have to get organised . . . Have also been finding it soo difficult to sleep and that's been slowing me down.

Haven't caught up on everyone's posts, but will try and come back on later. Hope everyone is okay. From a skim, I seems like we are all (me included) finding it a bit more physically hard/niggly/tiring this week. Chin (or chins in my case by now - why does my face always get pregnant too?!) up girls. xxx

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 16/01/2007 15:39

10 weeks - that really is scary - though 12 weeks sounded a long way off but know it will go quick enough - but 10 weeks !

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 15:41

New thread coming up - maveta, can I use
"Why is it whenever you admit anything even vaguely embarrassing everyone disappears and it goes all silent??!"

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 15:42

10 weeks! Am I in the wrong thread?

Bramshott · 16/01/2007 15:48

No sorry! 10 weeks of work - am stopping at the end of March! Sorry to panic everyone.

Bramshott · 16/01/2007 15:50

But like AngeG - only 5 more weeks until the point when I had DD, so I have to keep reminding myself it could happen any time now!

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 15:53

Think it was just me that was confused

weeonion · 16/01/2007 15:55

maveta - dotn worry - there is leakage here when i sneeze/ guffaw/ get tickled by dp!

BBCK - glad it went ok at the MW- do u feel any more reasured? we got our cot frm toys r us as well- the lorenza one but picked it up frm store. had a horrible time with xmas shopping online so my love affair with it is over too!

clarice - dont know how u cope with dh away - 32 days is quite a while. r the homecomings worth it tho'??

elliek - loved the saucy talk. sometimes its good to think back to old times
pesha - at u being with dp for 4.5 yrs but kept fresh by the not being with each other all the time. i remember things changed between dp and i when he moved in after 6 yrs on/offing!

yvie - so sorry i included u on that list - of course i remember pretty u and yr sis in yr pic - i kinda cocked that list all up! LOL at u havign to have yr list together. i actaully do have 4 - baby, me for labour, me & baby for hosptial stay and me &baby coming home! more than happy to email it to you - dont laugh at soem of the mundane things on it (drinking straws, fluffy socks etc!)

ta to thos who asked about my faint. have been a fainty person in past - too strict a diet and rushing around but at least i know when it is going to happen. scared the life out of wee woman standing bside me on bus as i went white and said "out i go". i catch the 5.30am bus for beginning of my commute to work!

CaptainDippy · 16/01/2007 15:57

Hey there!

I started a New Thread for us all. Hope that is ok!!

YvieE · 16/01/2007 15:59

Bramshott PMSL about pregnant in the face. I unfortunately am also pregnant in the bum, if you see me walking my bum is trailing about a mile behind me...and it wobbles.

maveta · 16/01/2007 16:14

Yvie - I would be honoured cracked up at your 'am I on the wrong thread' comment.. images of you recalculating due date, look of confusion etc etc

BBCK, hope you feel more reassured, always better to get checked out, isn't it?

Bugger 10 more weeks, I'm only trying to get through one day at a time! 45 mins to go!

maveta · 16/01/2007 16:15

sorry, Katy not Yvie

CaptainDippy · 16/01/2007 16:15
