I'm here, have to admit just been lurking as I have absolutely nothing to add of any interest to anyone... sat at work doing boring plots wishing the hours away!!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 11:48

I am bored at work as well. I am waiting for line managers to get their fingers out so that I can move stuff on, adverts etc. It is so annoying, as there is tons I could be doing at home!!

geordiemacminx · 16/01/2007 12:09

Was just thinking there are a few people that we havent "seen" for a while... cant remember who.. but I know my little hexham buddy heidle hasnt been on for ages...

i'm around too. Trying to take it easy today, feeling v tired. Have just read through the last thread- phew! Can't face catching up with this one yet!

Sooooo shocked at Maveta's midwife! Unbelieveable. Esp seeing your photo. Your tiny!

The photo's are lovely. It's very wierd putting a face to the messages that pop up! Must say no-one looks like i'd expected! ha.

right... need some lunch.

maveta · 16/01/2007 12:35

Hi Girls,

I am popping in and out too but nothing of interest to add!! Thanks eca, I do think it's a particularly flattering photo even given the crappy clothes I am wearing but still, I'm tall but not large at all, indeed quite average . Mind you, compared to most spanish girls I'm a lumbering giant!!

Anyway. Yesterday I finally got on with my big photo project and am up to 2002 so only 4 more years to go.. uuurgh. And that's not counting our wedding which is a whole project of its own. 18 months later and not a single photo has been stuck in an album! It's quite nice going over it all though, chucking out crappy photos that I can't believe I ever thought worthy of putting in in the first place and remembering things.

Most noticeably there are 2 years 2001/2002 that were horrible for me for ex-p reasons and it's so noticeable from the photos. There's hardly any in 2 years, just a few of the xmas' and new years' and maybe a few extra and I appear in next to none. What a miserable time. And then in 2003 which I can't wait to do tonight, there's this big leap to a summer full of new me, new man, new life..HAPPINESS! YOUTH! VITALITY! LOVE! lalalalala..and the rest of the years are going to be a joy to do.

Well that gave you all something to read...going to get some food now..tell me something - ANYTHING!

AngeG · 16/01/2007 13:14

Hi there I'm around too, but finding it really hard to keep up at the moment so am lurking more

Love to you all xx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 13:16

Ahhhh Maveta, you loved up puppy you! Aren't you good going through stuff. I keep looking at things and then putting it off another day!

I am so bored at work I could scream. My back aches as well today - all over.

Yeah, heidle hasn't been on for ages. Hope all is ok.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 13:17

Hi Ange, hope you're ok. There seems to be a bit of a feeling of "downness" today. Is it the weather do you think?

Pesha · 16/01/2007 13:21

Hi all, cant believe its so quiet!

Um say something...ok - I have heartburn and a new ache in my calf thats doing my head in, think its sciatica again. Was on right side before christmas and now has come back on the left and has been keeping me awake at night. And i am getting the calf pain without the buttock/thigh/hip pain at times but is same pain so guess its same thing.

Will that do...?!

Someone asked me at playschool how i was as i went waddling past. I cant say oh yeah fine loving it when im blatantly not but even im getting fed up of hearing myself moan about my aches and pains now! So i said that! But i need to think of something else to say now, something bit more positive but not so over the top it seems like im taking the piss!

Does anyone else have to sit through jimjam and sunny on CITV? Its the biggest pile of poo ever! Is keeping ds quiet though so shouldnt complain.

Im also beginning to think im using far too many !! in my posts!! Will have to try and cut back

There, one thing i can always be counted on for is my ability to waffle on and talk crap!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 13:28

Ooh Pesha, a big post to read! Sorry about your calf pain. Is it cramp do you think?

I don't watch CITV - we are still into CBeebies in this house - well, Becky is. I don't mind it to be honest, as some of it is educational. She has learnt about rectangles from one programme, and one of her teachers at pre-school was well impressed! I daren't tell them it was all thanks to CBeebies!

weeonion · 16/01/2007 13:28

AngeG · 16/01/2007 13:33

Thanks SOSPL - I'm ok, just got that 'can't be bothered feeling'.

I've just got home from work, it's a family business and I'd finshed all I had to do so came home. DH had promised to take me out for lunch as DS is a pre-school til 3:30pm but some work came up so he had to cancel, so I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself.

I had planned to start sorting the loft out, but I really can't summon the energy to do it I know I need to start to get organised, I don't really need to buy anything, but I'm so aware that I'm 28wks and was taken into hospital with DS at 33wks and although everything is looking really good for this pg I'm still aware that everything was ok with DS til 30wks.

Sorry so much for lurking I've just waffled on. I think I'm just dwelling on what happened with last pg and starting to worry and get stressed that it all might happen again.

I'm sure I wouldn't be feeling like this if it was sunny.

muminabigtumi · 16/01/2007 13:35

Hi girls - I've been quiet as I have just had the most mad cleaning morning ever!

Don't know what has gotten in to me....and my Dad popped in to do some odd jobs - he's so fab!!! He's replacing the seal on my bath as it badly needed doing and Phil adn I are useless at that kind of thing.

I spent alot of time looking for my mobile which I eventually found on the floor in the back of my car...with 5 frantic texts from Phil wondering why I hadn't replied!lol

Tesco man has just been and I have just fed James and am waiting for my Jacket potato to crisp up in the oven - oh how mundane!

Nothing exciting to add - apart from nice to see you Eca and glad you had a good hol!
SOL - bah to PIL...have to say mine are the opposite and so I end up like some neurotic mother writing big lists when James goes to stay! lol

Feel for all those bored at work - time passes so slow when its like that...
Best go - James is getting antsy....
x

AngeG · 16/01/2007 13:35

Oh weeonion, hope you're feeling better. Being in bed sounds like the right place to be.

That's a long list of people. Hope they're all ok.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 13:40

WO, what a nightmare for you fainting on the bus. Did you actually hit the deck? How are you feeling now?

Re the list, MammyJo has been on recently, Doghouse is currently DoginSantasgrotto, or something like that! WaspElly has been on recently too. GreenGirlForever is now BirdieBump, Hotlipsmummy has been on too as Hollyhotlipsmummy I think. The Wilderbeast is now flumpootle, and I am sure Yvie has been on too. I think it the Xmas names that threw us all. Perhaps we should all change back to what we were pre-christmas!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 13:43

Oh Ange, I am sorry to hear you are feeling on edge after your past experience. Chin up petal.

MIAM, God love Phil and the franticness (is that a word?) of you not answering your texts! Was he summoning you again to come and see what he had got for you!!?? lol

geordiemacminx · 16/01/2007 13:53

WO - I wish you would slow down a bit!!!! You are going to be in so much trouble when I see you next!! You have a little girly in there.. she needs her mammy in one piece!!! You can pass that on to Fraser too... especially in light of recent house guest situation!!! You can come and stay with me and let them all get on with it!!!

weeonion · 16/01/2007 13:53

oops - didnt do too well with the list then big apols were due!

YvieE · 16/01/2007 14:03

WO @ fainting on the bus - are you ok? What were you doing on the bus at 5:30am??? Hope you didn't hurt yourself.
By the way is Yvie3 me YvieE????

EllieK and Pesha - 7\8 prams . You lot are scaring me, I thought a pram lasted babies unil they were toddlers... then you strapped them in those safety reins\harness things!!!Last bit was a joke - but seriously don't these prams last them from birth until they outgrow prams?
Sill utterly confused about what goods to purchase. DP has given me a deadline of tomorrow afternnon to come up with an essentials list plus prices so that we can start to mobilse ourselves.

Eca glad to hear you had a lovely break - i could really do with one of those. I can't believe my lat leave is so far away...I wish i could leave now. I can't even walk up one flight of stairs without getting breathless and when i get up from sitting i can't straigten up v. quickly and end up hunched over for a couple of seconds - same thing happens when i roll out of bed

hotlipsmummy · 16/01/2007 14:04

I'm still here! Some days I lurk more than i post as I don't have anyhting interesting to say!!

Isabelly - glad you won your ebay pram. Our pramette is all shiny and clean now ready for the photos. It cost us £405 new so if we get in the region of £200 for it all then at least that's half back...

More exciting though is that the p&t arrived this morning, had an all day delivery and it was here at 9.20 - FAB! Am goin g to unpack it now whilst DS is asleep. Was good that it came as had quite a hectic morning - Ds's best friend came to play and then the 2 boys had a music session followed by luinch at the friend's house. The 2 boys played so well together (been "friends since DS was 8 weeks old!) - they really love each other and it was refreshing not to seperate "non-sharing" toddlers all morning iykwim! Lots of "bless" and "cute" moments Ahhhh!

enjoyed reading about the "sex-ploits". DH and I have been together for 11yrs in Feb since we were 20 and at uni (married for 3) so no interesting tales to tell on that front at all!! Think DH thinks I have forgotten what its for other than conceiving - that's when we have plenty of action otherwise over the last 2.5 yrs since being pg with DS there's been very little!

Right - can't wait any longer am opening the p&ts!!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/01/2007 14:12

Yvie, had to laugh at the visions of you I had in my head of you getting up out of a chair/bed. I know exactly what you mean. I feel like an OAP!!

Hotlips, limited sex action here too, apart from when we were trying for baby number 2 of course! I have been with dh for 11 years, married for 7, so the passion isn't as hot to say the least!

Re prams/pram type systems, we bought one when dd was born, and then bought a stroller/buggy for when she was a toddler. Have just bought the Maclaren Techno which is a buggy suitable from birth, and don't plan to buy anything more. Dh is a bit concerned that baby won't be facing me when we are taking our afternoon strolls, but I don't see that as a huge issue tbh. I just find the Maclarens so easy to move; all the others to me, and it is just a matter of preference, seem to be so bulky and requiring a degree in engineering!

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 14:15

Yvie has definitely been on recently - was she not the one who posted a pic of her and her sister on the last thread?
Am still chocolate-less (have now run out of hot choc) but can go to the shops this afternoon, so that's OK. Thank you all for your concern
How is everyone doing today?

Katy44 · 16/01/2007 14:15

Hi Yvie
Wasn't talking about you..honest

YvieE · 16/01/2007 14:19

LOL - Its alright Katy44. On the subject of talking about others did anybody watch celebrity BB last night, or am i really sad????

YvieE · 16/01/2007 14:21

SOSPL - that is the exact description i would use - an OAP. Is it because we are leaving the "blooming\honeymoon" second trimester and entering into the third trimester?????
