Hello,

So couldn't see a January baby post (probably because no one is mad enough to POAS as early as me!)

Anyway, I thought I would start one (waves). I am 28, this will be DC#2 making my 4 year old DS a big brother which he has been so excited about becoming (we haven't told him yet though as very early days!) I am roughly around 4 weeks and we're not planning on telling anyone for ages so thought I would start a thread so I have someone to get excited with!

Please come and say hello! Xx

Congrats on the twin news user! A few ladies on my conception thread have gone on to have twins, all as a result of some form of fertility treatment.
sueevone noone's asked me where I want to give birth but my local hospital is the Royal Glam. I don't think there are really any other options for me as I'm in Pontypridd. Bella are you north or South Wales?

Bella1985 · 17/06/2016 20:13

happylass I'm in South Wales but a little further West than you. I have the choice between Neath or Singleton in Swansea so opting for Singleton as it has a specialist baby unit so should anything not go according to plan I'll be in the best place for consultants etc! I'm guessing you get a choice if there are a few options within your catchment area. Smile

sueevone · 17/06/2016 20:42

I was asked where I wanted to give birth in my booking appointment and again at my 12 week scan. Guess it differs from place to place.

Bella1985 · 18/06/2016 21:48

Has anyone started noticing their tiredness levels improving yet? I'm 13 weeks tomorrow but I'm still exhausted all the time. Had a nap this afternoon (after doing very little throughout the day) and I'm off to bed now I'm so tired! Shock pretend that's a yawning emoji!

MagpieCursedTea · 18/06/2016 22:09

I'm still knackered too. It started getting better at around 16 weeks when I was pregnant with DS.

sueevone · 19/06/2016 02:22

I'm still very tired too, and insomnia has kicked in as well Hmm. I actually feel like my symptoms have gotten worse not better since getting through the second trimester.

Dueindecember2016 · 19/06/2016 09:57

I can easily sleep for 12 hours a night, but all other symptoms apart from sore boobs have gone now.

Is anyone here going to find out the gender? We are going to have a private scan in July, I'm too impatient to wait until August :) x

LucySB123 · 19/06/2016 12:56

My DD1 has just gone off for her nap and I'm falling asleep as well on my bed zzzz. I hope she keeps the nap forever (no kidding) because I don't know what I'll do properly pregnant and with a little terror 12h a day

happylass · 21/06/2016 06:31

Morning Ladies. All went well at my scan yesterday. Only issue was they couldn't do the NT measurement as baby just wouldn't get in the right position. Tried rolling on the bed, pacing the corridors, even star jumps (had no idea I was in for such a work out!) but nada. Have to have the Quad test at 16 weeks now instead. She did say that the NT measurement looked well below 3.5mm though which is some reassurance. Hope everyone else is well. Who's up next?

Great news happylass apart from the difficulties with getting baby in the right position. My next scan for the nuchal testing is on 30th.

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 07:45

A www happylass that's a snuggly looking baby. How annoying that they couldn't do the NT - could you not just come back another day and try again? And what is the Quad test?

I have my NT scan next Wednesday - can't wait!

I am still knackered too. Think it's cumulative so feels worse. Am so over being so tired the whole time!

Emz32 · 21/06/2016 07:59

Lovely that baby was ok Happylass. Iv got my 12 week scan in a couple of hours. Feel nervous even though we had a scan 2 weeks ago & everything was fine. Got harmony results & scan Thursday. Feeling so tired & sick still. Looking forward to being able to brush my teeth properly & enjoying a meal. Feels like a long time since I could do either. Although it will all be worth it!

LucySB123 · 21/06/2016 08:12

I've mine tomorrow. My moods are all over the place at the moment. I just snapped at DH because he said that I was tempting fate by buying for baby in the John Lewis sale. When does tempting fate become prepping for baby? U cd say that all the way to 37wks mind u.Angry and what I wanted was small and inexpensive grr. Nvm. I am usually not so touchy.
Hope scan goes well emz32
If we had the harmony test the NT is not critical is it? They can only measure NT if fetus is CRL 45mm to 84mm and I'm afraid baby is too small tomorrow and too long by the time we get back from hols. But we are doing harmony.

Dueindecember2016 · 21/06/2016 08:12

If it's any help ladies Im nearly 14 weeks and the tiredness and sickness has finally gone. Boons are still sore though.

Bella1985 · 21/06/2016 08:19

I have my scan today too. 6hours 50minutes to go -not that I'm counting- Blush

sueevone · 21/06/2016 08:45

Good luck to those with scans coming up!

Emz32 · 21/06/2016 08:48

Good luck Bella. Luckily mines at 10.30 so I haven't got long to wait but too much to do including getting DS to in laws. I'm hoping the next couple of weeks itll get better. Just pushed down a bowl of coco pops (not healthy I know but tends to be all I can eat) only for it to come back. Oh well. Good luck for tomorrow Lucy. I'm only having the baby dated today by the NHS they said there was no point doing anything else as I was having the Harmony. I'm looking forward to having a due date, not that I put much by it as my DS arrived 5 weeks before his!!

Bella1985 · 21/06/2016 09:37

Good luck Emz today and to lucy tomorrow! We've nicknamed him/her baby jesus as (s)he's due 25th dec but after today and the dating scan I might need a new nickname!

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 10:01

Good luck everyone!

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 10:02

And lucy I believe the NT is still necessary as it can pick up some heart defect type things. But no it's not required for trisomies as you've had those tested already.

swancourt · 21/06/2016 11:01

Hi ladies,

Been away for a while, busy at work. 12 weeks today - scan on Friday. Still absolutely knackered and my sickness has been the WORST this week - thought it would be easing by now. The more tired I am the worse it is. Luckily am working from home three days this week, and taking it pretty easy.

Hope you are all well. Congrats on the twins user!

MagpieCursedTea · 21/06/2016 12:14

Good luck with the scans everyone!

Swancourt I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday and feel like the sickness is getting worse. It's especially bad when I'm tired which isn't great as the exhaustion is getting worse too. Hope we both get a break from it soon!

swancourt · 21/06/2016 12:23

Just spent much of the last hour throwing up. YUCK.

Got to crack on with some work now. sorry you're sick too magpie

stealthbanana · 21/06/2016 12:32

Must be something in the air. After a week of feeling comparatively better (ie less nausea) I've been vomiting all morning. Sacked off work and am lying in bed feeling extremely sorry for myself. This pregnancy lark is not fun!

Admarks · 21/06/2016 15:27

Hi all, I was another one with their scan today! All is well and my EDD has been brought forward to 30/12/2016 so officially a December baby (I've been sitting on the fence since my bfp!). NT measurement of 1.9mm.

Good luck to everyone else who has scans today and this week!

Now for the wait till the 20 week scan - mid August seems like forever away!
