Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thanx for that Jonah...may join you in the She may want extra pennies when she see's how much there is to come off, and working with a bump too...poor, poor lady. It is always ladies...right? Not like bloody Gynaecologists who are always male...WTF is that about?

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2007 13:10

My dts, they will be thrilled with this claim to fame!!!

the terrible 2

toomanyprojects · 11/01/2007 13:48

Pebblemum, your post came across fine - no worries. Dug some pics out of me at 28 weeks with DD and I was enormous so I think we're doing fine. With DD1 I was 13 stone 6 lbs when I was induced (at 5'3" it wasn't great!). This time I haven't got a vending machine to tempt me so doing better but it's already very comfortable. Only 16 weeks to go - am under a consultant at the hospital and they won't let me go longer than 40 weeks this time. The other two were both overdue, induced and fairly big (8lb 10oz and 9lb).

Recovering after a sleepless night - DS woke up at 3am because of the howling wind - we are very exposed - and finally got back to sleep in bed with me at 4:30 before waking up at 6am and checking the clock by leaning over me every few minutes until announcing "7 o'clock - time to get up!"

Good luck to everyone with scans!

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Afternoon all, just thought I'd let you know how I was feeling today.

Hope you are ok MKG.

Glad your back on lg&t.

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2007 14:07

Whats up with you?

Frenchsmallfry · 11/01/2007 14:19

Sick of sick people!

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2007 14:21

How is DH? He goes down to theatre soon doesnt he? Is ds back at school? Are you sick?

Frenchsmallfry · 11/01/2007 14:25

What with M allergy stuff all last week and H been on and off puking for 8 days now, took him to the dr's this moning who has given him some stuff to stop the sickness and poo. 6am this moning just about did me in, I'm not very good at sick at the best of times let alone when I'm pg. Dr says it must be a virus, not a bug otherwise we would have all got it, 8 days apparently is too long. dh op soon, worried about him, can't wait for the phone call to say all went ok. PLEASE!!!!! He's so far away, I don't like not being there for him.

I think I'm just soooooo tired, I could do with flaking out but with FIL here I don't feel I can.

Boo Hoo, god I'm boring myself now, I'll shut up and lighten up Sorry all!

Frenchsmallfry · 11/01/2007 14:26

He's fine, excited, he is a weirdo!! Yes, 4pm he goes under, our time so 3pm there.

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2007 14:37

Hope it goes ok,cant believe poor H is still suffering! Has he eaten anything? I would starve him and reintroduce basic food, bread, crackers and apple for a few days. It could be feeding off the food in his tummy and lasting longer. I HATE sick, poor you.

Thats the trouble when people come to stay, they think they are helping but what actually happens is you clean like a woman posessed and go to bed late to be sociable, cook huge meals and dont loaf in the day cos you feel you cant. Not much like help really...

Have school run in a mo....booo, hoooo. Hugs asleep and i would quite like to curl up with him too. Am going to a friends for tea tonight though so no cooking for the demons, hooray! Will check later to see if A is ok xxx

Frenchsmallfry · 11/01/2007 14:45

Thanks lg&t, have a nice time at your friends.

ds is on basic rations exactly as you have said from today, along with coke?...........apparently good for sicknness, although he hasn't really eaten much for the last week, dr weighed him today, he has lost 3kg since last week when he stood on the scales whilst we were there with dd.

Pebblemum · 11/01/2007 15:12

FSF sending hugs to you. I hate it when people are ill but you seem to be dealing with everything at the moment. I know its hard but forget about FIL and give yourself a bit of time out, im sure he will understand that you need a rest now and again. Take care!!

All this talk of waxing the lady garden makes me shudder. I cant even wax my legs without crying out in pain the thought of doing it anywhere else is enough to turn me into a quivering wreck, and as for flashing my bits to a stranger to get it done, no thank you. Yes i know ive done it before, during birth and smears but thats a neccessity, waxing isnt (well in my books anyway) Maybe im just a wimp, im no good with pain. Id rather let dh loose on it with a razor

Am just off to pick ds2 up from pre-school, see you all later

scootermum · 11/01/2007 16:17

FSF-Flat coke good for the sickness and it' s full of sugar too of course, so it provides a bit of energy.
I dare not go to be waxed either-they might turn me away as the job is too big.Thought I might try and do it myself but cannot be bothered at the moment..
Have spent the morning with the Police and comforting traumatized elderly people and the afternoon trogging round North London trying to find an address that does not exist to asess a new person.Fed up with the wind as hair now a boosh and am more knackered than I should be from having to walk round in it..
Off to get dd now as she was up all night with a temperature and the childminder says she is not eating much today and has slept this afternoon, both very odd.She has been very constipated lately so bit worried about her-think she may be dehydrated as she will not drink any liquid other than milk.Have to spoon juice into her mouth and even then she spits it out..She thinks it is highly amusing..
I wonder from what age can you give senna?Probably older than 1 I think..
Thank God the end of the week has come for me-not one of my better ones!
Still a lovely weekend planned, dh has day off tomorrow with me and we are seeing some friends in Clapham on Saturday which am looking forward to..So feel cheerier already..
Will try to get on over the weekend and am going to try to get dh to help with my bump picture.Mine is really big and untidy compared to yours.I look like a monster!

Welcome back Jess-was worried about you there for a bit..When are you moving to Oz then?

Creena · 11/01/2007 16:34

Jonah - no need to apologise; you didn't embarrass me at all.

FSF - so sorry to hear about your poorly little ones. I wish them both speedy and full recoveries. Also wishing your DH well - I can only imagine how worried you must be. Don't forget that you can always come here to get things off your chest or to talk things over.

Pebble - waxing down below is not that bad, honestly. It lasts for just a matter of seconds and some beauticians are masters at whipping it away relatively painlessly. The only thing to watch out for is that your skin might be a bit more sensitive than usual as you're pregnant, so try not to wear knickers that are a bit on the tight side (as they'll rub against the sides) and put a bit of cooling body lotion on last thing at night and first thing in the morning.

I've just been reading the thread over on 'pregnancy' about commuting when pregnant. Having to commute in London sounds like an absolute nightmare - I've got to go down to London on Monday (in to Euston and then travelling across on the tube). Have to say I'm not looking forward to it at all.

cinnamontam · 11/01/2007 17:14

Hey Jess - nice to see you back. Just sent you an email about the docs in Perth. Not much info I'm afraid but have a read and email me back if you have anything else I can dig out for you.

RedKennedy · 11/01/2007 17:59

Im back from the hosipital and in JOYOUS spirit! God how I love to peer into my babies secret little world and observe him/her going about his daily business, you know laying down, wriggling, grabbing, sucking AAAHHHHh its soo amazing! As you can probably tell I had a top afternoon and a brilliant sonographer who was just so helpful and willing. So baby is fine and heart and brain and tummy etc are all fine and legs are well long and I am happy.

Ladies Im sorry but I still feel like Im playing massive catch up every day.. im still scanning from last week too. But theres not enough time in the day so Im going to give up and just try and muscle back in and say HI to everyone and yes I have a mighty boosh, does anyone have any secateurs?

Oh yeah thanks for the nice comments about my bump. No strecth marks yet, but believe me thats the only place on my body that doesnt have them, so I give it month or two tops.

And here is scan pic
here

katybumps · 11/01/2007 18:12

Befnalbub - Yes 9am on Tuesday. Scared and excited about it. I will be with the short loud geordie, unmistakable!! I'm blond, he's dark and we're both 5'7". Oh yes and I will have a look of mild panic on my face!!

Will have to think of something distinguishing to wear so you can spot me!

Indith · 11/01/2007 18:59

SOH!!!!!!!

You asked for a nice birth story, well I have now obliged and it is in birth announcemnts. I contains a little gas and air but not too much!

Enjoy your pregnancies ladies! (and yes a few days ago I wanted to kill anyone who said too)

aprilmeadow · 11/01/2007 19:15

Lovely scan pic red! Did you slip up by saying 'him'????

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2007 19:18

Scooter have an lovely weekend, hope your dd is ok. Get some medised, it cures all ills and makes them sleep...

RK i dont believe you about the stretchmarks you are tiny (except the bump obviously, thats massive... Glad the scan was good!

Katy whats this about KK's nationwide....????

Oh pleeeeeeas sweet, sweet KK's come to mummy.....

FSF coke ok in small quatities but the sugar in it and definately the caffeine can irritate the bowel. If he can stand it grate the apple to maybe with carrot to make it nicer and let it go brown. The enzymes in it are very good for soothing a troubled tummy. The most important thing is no dairy awful for a poorly tummy. How is A? Did you hear from the hosp yet? Hope it went well xxxx

RedKennedy · 11/01/2007 19:57

No we didnt find out the flavour (our hospital dont tell you anyway) and just incase it might be waving it about like a chippendale the nice scanner man said ' look away now please' Im convinced its a boy though. I must stop thinking of it as a boy cos I think im going to be slightly freaked if its a pink one. Yes LGT I have had stretchmarks all over since I was about 12, thankfully they are all silvery lines now but I have them as far down as the backs of my bloody knees! Im afraid my mother is to blame. And if thats anything to go by I cant wait to get rheumatoid arthritis and chalfonts. Already had my varocoise veins stripped at 29. And was due to have polyps' in my bowel removed for cancer checks just before I got my BFP. Which is something to look forward to I suppose.

largeginandtonic · 11/01/2007 20:16

Oh bugger RK not good, will they do that straight after the baby is out? Genes have a lot to answer for. I inherited my mothers small waist (hooray) but her weird, too big for the rest of my body legs. She also passed on her awful women trouble. We have very long, very heavy periods that have us crippled and sitting on a toilet as it's too heavy to keep up with I face (if i dont keep having babies every 2 years ) a hysterctomy very early on. Mum was only 32. Oh the joy.....

Hope you dont worry about it too much, there is enough to think about when prg! Hugs to you xxxx
