Welcome to another riveting instalment of TTC#1 grads.

We've got new grads POAS every day just to make sure, 1st Trimesters wondering if they will be hit by the dreaded morning sickness or not, those approaching the hollowed promised land of the second trimester where all is good and the glowing will prevail... Those who have reached the second trimester and are thoroughly miffed at the lack of glowing.
We have scan photos, bizarre symptoms and the joys of baby shopping, and very importantly we now have Stark!

All are welcome on the wild gas powered ride that is TTC#1 grads Grin

Leonie yeah I brought some white maternity jeans in a size 12 (usually a size 10 but thought I'd probably grow in to them) for this trip, they were slightly big but comfy to walk round in. I don't think the amount of carbs I've eaten am has helped my rounded tum tbh.
Lara I'm so sorry you feel so shit, I was extremely nauseous 24/7 between weeks 6-9 then week 9 it started being every other day I'd feel sick, from week 10 I've basically felt normal. It does get better I promise, I know right now it doesn't feel like it though.

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 10:02

Aren't men bloody awkward! I asked my OH if he was nervous last night and he stands solid that he isn't at all. He's looking forward to the birth for now, but he's a big man child so who knows and wants to cut the umbilical cord. Whenever I mention that I'm nervous/overwhelmed about everything I just get the "well its in there now, it's too late to worry, I'm sure it won't be as painful as they make it out to be" yet he hurt his ankle at football the other day and I'm expected to awww??? Also lol'd so hard at his reaction to the placenta on OBEM. He has no idea how everything works, it's hilarious.

I'm still in my usual clothes for now. If I wear a tight top I get a little round belly from the minute I eat. I look pregnant and I love it but I think it's just bloat. I must must must start looking to buy maternity stuff!

I'm 11+2 today and just weighed myself. I haven't put any of the weight back on that I've lost so am still -10lb from pre pregnancy weight. I'm starting to panic now but I still have horrendous HG and am struggling to keep food down. Please someone tell me it's ok and cuddle me and stroke my hair and that I'm not harming my baby. Has anyone else not put any weight at all on? I understand that I've lost weight due to spewing etc. But thought I'd have started putting at least a few lb

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/03/2016 10:14

It can't just be me that wants to see some belly pics?

Thanks miley and runner I think Ince I've got this weekend put of the way (af was due tomorrow) ill feel slightly better. Hoping I can relax into it a bit more! Still at the point of thinking even thinking about it will jinx it! I may ring my cbt lady! I don't want to be annoying everybody with my wonderings lol.

Going to concentrate on getting my next blog posts up today!

Pinklily1 · 23/03/2016 10:29

Miley, if it helps at all I am still lighter than i was pre pregnancy. I lost about 9lbs I think with sickness/nausea and have put about 4lbs back on so far (I'm now 17+1). I've been weighed at each appointment, apart from my 16 week midwife appointment (have had a few hospital visits along the way) and no one has batted an eyelid so I'm assuming it's ok.

Hopefully your HG will settle down soon and once you start to eat properly you should hopefully gain a few pounds.

Pinklily1 · 23/03/2016 10:35

Ps starky, yes to belly pics! I need to take one so will post once I have.

Runner05 · 23/03/2016 12:06

I'm kinda embarrassed to take a belly photo. I'm huge and it's not all baby Sad

pink that does help. I feel a lot better now! I can't afford to lose much more weight, but am able to face more foods than I could a week ago. Oddly, all I want is carrot sticks, salads, fruit and hummus?!

I may take one later on the day to show how the bump comes and goes if I manage to eat! I need to take them for my cute little record book anyway which ridiculously tells you to start taking them at 6 weeks. Wtf.

starky that's what we're here for! You can wonder away all you like. We won't judge! Same goes to you, runner we're not judgemental asshats

Runner05 · 23/03/2016 12:54

Lol Miley it's not other people's judgment that worries me, it's my own! Can't wait to get my body back so that I can get down the gym. No way I could do it now, I struggle enough walking for 10 minutes... It's pathetic!

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 13:03

Well, you are growing an actual small human with your body. It's not an easy job, so please be kind to yourself! Smile

Just got another 2 week sick note and am being ordered to the Dr's AGAIN for dipsticks and blood pressure. I shouldn't complain, I know I'm quite lucky they're so on the ball but I dread being sent back to hospital.

LisaTheGreek · 23/03/2016 13:40

Oh Miley, you poor thing. Fingers crossed for no hospitals!

How are you feeling these days? Has the HG subsided at all, or is it very much the same?

Pinklily1 · 23/03/2016 13:44

Oh no Miley! But home is probably the best place for you for now. How many weeks are you now?

Also, I don't think any of us should be embarrassed - this growing little people is hard work!

I had my first belly rubber the other day. Uninvited. It was a close friend who is hugely maternal so I wasn't as horrified as I thought I would be, but it did take my by surprise.

5tardusty · 23/03/2016 14:33

Hello all, feeling a.bit anxious today as I've never really had many symptoms (6+5)

I definitely think my boobs feel bigger, I'm more tired earlier and I've been quite gassy but none of it is that noticeable. No food aversions or cravings and no nausea. I do get period type pains most days but no bleeding whatsoever.

At first I thought I was getting off lightly but I'm now worrying about mmc.
I'm off on holiday next week and planned to tell our parents when we got back but now I'm womdering whether to bother making a fuss when I just feel the same as I did before!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/03/2016 14:42

5tar I'm on the same page. Initially thought I'd tell my dsis immediately. But now I'm probably not going to tell anyone at all until after 12 weeks (in my mind, every time I thin about it I'm still saying "if I get that far" which is horrible but I can't allow myself to relax just yet)

5tardusty · 23/03/2016 14:52

It's awful isn't it starky. I'm positive most days and try to tell myself I've no reason to worry, but I know I'll be so disappointed if my scan shows nothing.

It's ironic as while I was TTC I dreaded the thought of constant nausea as much as giving birth, but now I kind of wish I felt a little bit spewy!

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 15:46

lisa it's much the same. I get a day where I feel like I can get out of bed and maybe even brush my hair then I wake up the next morning in a new chamber of hell. I seem to have about 1 good day in 9 or 10 which is better than a lot of people with HG have it so I should consider myself lucky!

pink I'm 11+2 and have had any number of promises it'll start to subside soon. I know I should trust a doctor but I'm sceptical 😂 my grandma is a belly rubber and I absolutely hate it! She's more affectionate than I like (but not in a weird way like the grandma checking her granddaughters vagina on OBEM) I'm just not a hugger/cheek kisser at all. I hope to god no one else does it or I'm gonna start grabbing titties! ( o Y o )

5tar I think something like 20% of the luckiest women in the world don't suffer any morning sickness at all! Please don't worry, I'm sure everything is going fabulously and all your other symptoms sound spot on! Morning sickness in my experience has been hell and hopefully you've managed to dodge the bullet. Though I'm sure some ladies in here didn't have any nausea until 7 weeks + so it may still catch up with you

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 15:48

Oh and I'm 11+2 and still get period type cramps. That's completely normal as others reassured me Smile

Pinklily1 · 23/03/2016 15:55

Miley, when the grandad went in for the birth and to cut the cord I nearly died!! Shock

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 15:58

Yes pink!!! It was when her grandad/dad/whatever was rubbing her upper inner thigh. I can't deal with stuff like that. I just kept looking at OH like it's not just me, this is weird isn't it?

Runner05 · 23/03/2016 16:03

I missed all that, I was too busy tutting that they all had scrawled tattoos a lover them... I'm not completely anti-tattoo I just don't like rubbish ones Confused

5tardusty · 23/03/2016 16:07

Thanks for all your reassurance. Maybe i will be chuckling bitterly into the toilet bowl next week!

Pinklily1 · 23/03/2016 16:07

I couldn't believe the one that had 'Scunthorpe's got talent' tattooed across her foot.

I love my dad and everything but never in a million years would I let him in the delivery room (and he would die at the thought). Just seems wrong to me for a father to see his daughters bits BlushShock

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 16:08

I missed the tattoos. I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking it was an incredibly close family with the lip kissing, thigh rubbing and vag watching. I'm totally non-judgemental and am very much of the live and let live view but I must admit that did throw me a little.

Sodasoda · 23/03/2016 16:16

My friend went into early labour when she was out shopping with her dad. They had to call an ambulance and the operator asked her dad to look between her legs to check to see if the head was there Blush I still shudder at that story.

Runner05 · 23/03/2016 16:16

Ok, I'm going to get the bump picture thing started Blush I'm 17+4 and mahoosive!!!

Runner, you look brilliant! I think it's a really neat bump. Will post mine shortly, just have to take it first!!

Soda, that's traumatic!
