Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

Thank you 5 and it is much appreciated. Unless I feel horrendous, I am going to try and spend the weekend away from the Internet and see how things go on Tuesday.

I hope everyone has a good Easter.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 24/03/2016 16:24

fuzzy sending you a hug and a handhold Flowers

5hell and tri hope the weekend ibrings you what your hearts desire... rest/cake/babies whatever...

What's everyone got planned?

Mermaid36 · 24/03/2016 17:22

fuzzy I definitely had early weeks when apart from knowing I was pregnant I had nothing to show for it - completely asymptomatic...

sky I shall be supervising furniture moving and painting of various bedrooms, trying to get the nursery into some semblance of order (it's currently our bedroom)... fun times!

ChatEnOeuf · 24/03/2016 17:22

Hope you have a wildly nauseous Easter, Fuzzy. Any way of self referring to EPAU with 'pregnant and tummy pain'? I saw and scanned many hundreds of those stories. Some units prefer a proper referral but lots just let you call up yourself. I do share your anxiety - I've had the tiniest bit of light brown CM, my boobs don't hurt and they haven't grown. I knew it would be like this, but I wish I was naive to the shit that can happen.

Canters15 · 24/03/2016 17:29

I hear you on wanting to be naive to the shit that can happen, chat. Dh and I have had a few arguments because he can't get his head around my negativity/cautiousness. Fortunately for him he's never had to deal with a miscarrying woman! Grrrr.

lildottie · 24/03/2016 18:39

Sending hooyahs to the symptom spitters. Honestly I've had bugger all symptoms all through and the ones I've had could easily be explained as something else. I currently only feel pregnant when I remember i have a big bump on my front!

Thanks for the crappy mws sympathies. Got my iron tablets from GP no problem today so at least that was easy. Perhaps they should ditch fh measurement and not glucose screening!

tri mw told me they can do sweep from 28weeks if head is engaged and it's requested. Sounded like they don't offer it freely and u have to ask here. Hope u got on OK.

Kate we can sit in the corner asking Dr goofle everything together ;)

Forgotten who said what now. Looking forward to going to bed for sleep!

FeatheredTail · 24/03/2016 21:54

Hello! So much to catch up on.

Fuzzy - why not take Chat's advice and go to the EPU? I found them enormously sympathetic when I went in at 9 weeks when I thought my symptoms had dried up a la previous miscarriage. It would put your mind at rest. FYI - I had awful nausea from week 6 - disappeared for 2 days at week 9 - and returned with a sort of Biblical vengance until week 17. Fingers firmly crossed you spend Easter on the verge of vomming. Hand holding for both you and Chat.

Pee, I am so jealous of your dungarees - '70s preg-tastic! I wish I could pull them off but I'm too short and round these days - I'd look like an oompaloompa. Where did you get yours?

Kate I've been sleeping with a firm feathered pillow between my knees. It feels amazing. Maybe something similar might help? I don't envy you and hope you find a way to sleep better.

Tri what a lovely package from your Mum! Hand knitted cardigans - gorgeous. Hope you're still hanging in there.

Had my last NCT session last night. One of the couples wasn't there - oh how we joked about her having gone into labour....until we found out SHE HAD GONE INTO LABOUR at 35 weeks. She's fine and the labour is going well, but it's seriously lit a fire under my backside. I went out and bought 60 maternity pads, 120 breast pads, 150 nappies, disposable pants, breast milk bags, a tonne of muslins, crib sheets and then placed a massive amazon order of loads of other bits (including witch hazel soaked pads which sound good!). Phew.

Next on the list is to order baby furniture (cotbed, chest and mini wardrobe) from the mothecare sale. BRING IT.

FuzzyOwl · 24/03/2016 22:46

Thank you for all the support, handholding, hugs and vomitty wishes! I have had a Google and I think I can self refer to a hospital not too far away although we DH's relatives visiting over Easter so I will see how things go. I have my booking in appointment on Tuesday though and will beg my midwife if necessary.

I am feeling a bit better about things because whilst I still don't have any symptoms, I don't seem to get many at the best of times. At the same time, I have had no bleeding and apart from my stomach cramps on Wednesday, no unusual pains. I seem to recall annoying everyone in my last pregnancy because my symptoms went but everything was OK, so I am going to stop being so full of gloom now until I have a definite reason.

Oh Chat being naive to what can happen has to be the best way to be pregnant. Sadly all of us know only too well that reality gets in the way! My boobs haven't done anything either and I don't think they did last pregnancy until the last trimester (and even then it was barely noticeable because they stayed so small). I really hope the brown cm doesn't mean anything sinister and you can enjoy Easter.

My DH doesn't really get it either Canters even though he has had to deal with me miscarrying in the past!

I hope her labour is still going/went well Feathered. Would you recommend the NCT course? I don't really know anyone in my area as I moved six months ago so am tempted to do it. Glad to hear you are prepared now and Amazon next day delivery is great at times like this.

FeatheredTail · 24/03/2016 22:56

My NCT course has been great Fuzzy. Much of it will depend on the teacher and your class mates - I was lucky; the class are really nice and we're definitely going to meet up/stay friends (I hope!) and the teacher was open minded. She went through interventions properly, including a long session on c-sections, and pain relief in a mostly balanced way. The only thing that niggled me was her lack of referencing studies when citing statistics that - funnily enough - presented the 'all natural' option as the absolute best choice Wink. But if you know the NCT agenda before you go in, you're not going to be misled. DH found it enormously helpful. I just went for the social mostly.

FuzzyOwl · 24/03/2016 23:01

That backs up what I have heard before Feathered but good to hear your course has been great. If this little one sticks, I will definitely sign up for the course.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/03/2016 00:12

Sod what NCT says. Have all the pain relief!

Mermaid36 · 25/03/2016 06:30

Last night, DH felt one of the babies move for the first time ever...

Admittedly, it was during a Jon Richardson DVD where I was laughing so hard I nearly pissed myself and an elbow/knee/foot stuck out near my belly button.... He was a bit freaked out. I think he expected to feel a little kick, not a huge bit of someone else's body...

5hell · 25/03/2016 07:21

aah bless him mer - are you feeling lots of movements generally?

speaking of NCT, another couple we met there are popping round for coffee with their little one today Smile cue lots of tidying up this morning Sad

feathered your stash sounds massive - you've got me worried now! ...seriously, how many mat pads might I need?

Mermaid36 · 25/03/2016 07:25

5hell I feel both the babies all the time, they are very squiggly! But I've got an anterior placenta, so everything is a bit cushioned from the outside and I'm only just 23wks...DH has spent a lot of time with his hands on my bump saying "no, can't feel anything " until last night!

CarrotPuff · 25/03/2016 07:46

5hell 4 packs should be enough.

lildottie · 25/03/2016 08:27

Aww mer its so lovely when the men folk get in on the movements. Dhs first feel of this one was something similar. I was walking up the stairs and suddenly there was a knee/elbow/body part sticking out! Managed to get to dh in time for him to feel it.

I can't wait for my NCT classes to start. Got about 4weeks I think.

After all the talk about induction this week I woke up writing my birth plan in my head! Might make a start on it this weekend although I need to try and catch up on some work. All these mw and hospital appts are getting me behind.

Also thinking I need to start thinking about buying bits and bobs for my hospital bag now! Thanks feathered!

TriJo · 25/03/2016 09:25

Still here! 5 days over now. Had my midwife appointment yesterday afternoon and had a sweep. Few more twinges but nothing of substance. Induction booked for April 1 at 9am if I don't go before then - you have a week little one, GTFO!

lildottie · 25/03/2016 10:07

April 1st tri! That's brave of you!

TriJo · 25/03/2016 10:27

Wasn't my choice! That's what the midwife was told when she rang labour ward to book it... It's a date I had been hoping to avoid tbh!

Ohwoolballs · 25/03/2016 11:14

Hello lovelies, just stook this on the March babies Fred, of course needs putting here too.

Baby born 4:15 this morning after a WAY TOO FAST labour (waters went after 4 contractions at about 10:30pm, got no pain relief, no time to run the water birthing pool) got to pick him up first and cut the cord, 2nd degree tear and a little graze up top. I am running on euphoria and lucozade. He was a tidgy wee thing at 6lbs 2oz - getting to work fattening him up.
I've sent DP home for a shower and sleep until his parents come this aft.

We've got newbies to cheer us on, the February Warm-Up is complete, after waiting nine long months it's only bloody time for March Madness! Welcome to JS thread no. 46!
KateBeckett · 25/03/2016 11:28

Eeeee wool he's so squishy!! Well done, and congratulations!!

pee no Fanjo bruising here! Horrid achey pain where my leg meets my torso now though. Was awful yesterday- both hips, both legs down to my thighs and my back were agony, but a nice warm bath shifted most of it.
Also, we need to see evidence of the 70s pregtastic dungarees! They sound amazing!

fruit yes I have got a preggo pillow, and 2 normal pillows I'm using to make myself a wierd little nest Grin dp thinks I'm insane!

feathered crikey! That must have been a bit of a kick up the bum. I'm sure you will be all sorted and prepared by the time baby is ready to pop out. Thank god for Amazon delivery!! Thanks for the pillow tip, I'll adjust my nest accordingly and hopefully ease it some more.

Aww glad dp got to have a feel mer ! I bet he loved it despite being freaked out! Has his boss stopped being a dingbat yet?

Gorgeous sunny day here, we are just getting ready for a trip to babies r us as they have a sale on, and we're still Undecided about a pram! Argh!

SockQueen · 25/03/2016 11:36

Congratulations wool! Beautiful boybee. Hope you're home soon.

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend. Any exciting things planned apart from a potential baby or two?

Mermaid36 · 25/03/2016 12:04

wool huge congratulations on your lovely boybee! Think that classes as a sneeze birth!

kate DH is mostly ignoring his boss and has told HR his plans and they've said it's fine and not to worry! Smile

5hell · 25/03/2016 12:12

Ooh congratulations wool!
he's gorgeous! Hope you're recovering well.

Nothing too exciting planned here sock ...have been for a lovely sunny dog walk, next is bacon sarnies for lunch, coffee with nct pals (and babe), may venture to blue water tomorrow, some swimming at some point, then it's my b day Monday, so will insist on a Thai Grin

FuzzyOwl · 25/03/2016 12:17
