Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

sky thank you for sharing your birth story, it sounds like a v positive experience despite the length, waiting etc. The varied birth stories I've read via the viroids have got me ready for anything (ish). Have you been allowed cake yet now the gd is presumably not an issue?

Mat leave will not be good for my waist line...I may have eaten 4 hot cross buns within 24h! and a magnum good job I didn't finish work any sooner!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/03/2016 13:26

I have just watched my milk come in Shock Blush it was surreal seeing my norks inflate.

I have been enjoying the non GD foods 5hell which have been nice but I will probably revert to the GD diet soon as I actually felt really well on it and I have quite a bit of weight to lose and am retaining lots of water... my cankles are truly spectacular...

My birth was really positive in the end although I spent most of it vowing loudly to never do it again... I think birth is one of those things where the destination is more important than the journey. Now that she is here it means something completely different to how I felt as it was happening if you see what I mean? Feeling supported as you give birth is something that is really important so my advice is to build rapport with your midwives as a bit of chat can make all the difference during the difficult parts... I am excited for you... who's next?

rushes off to check stats

YogaPants · 22/03/2016 13:43

So sorry Ill Flowers. Take as much time away from mumsnet as you need as you have had a tough few years and especially a tough few months.

Yay for maternity leave 5hell! But I sympathise about pigging out. At least the temptation of hot cross buns will be removed after the weekend. (You can eat discounted Easter eggs instead). My coworkers have cottoned on that I have lost all resistance to treats and now keep tempting me with baklava. I also happen to really enjoy baklava. I Must remember to eat the sandwich I brought in as well as baklava for lunch.

Peenut · 22/03/2016 14:02

I have no off button anymore when it comes to food. Eaten a hot cross bun and a Twix and a quinoa salad which didn't touch the sides. When is the next snack o clock? There is a milky way with my name on in the treat stash!

Also –NFMV: I am getting disturbed by swamp foof levels. Just stocked up on a massive supply of panty liners. Made the mistake of buying Carefree ones the other week –they made it worse!

Damn it. just eaten the Milky Way!

5hell · 22/03/2016 15:37

sssshhhh! don't tell dh I'm having my first raspberry leaf tea...living life on the edge ;) (he seems to be under the impression it will trigger labour within a sip or two - ha!)

Ohwoolballs · 22/03/2016 15:45

5hell I'm drinking razzy leaf tea as we speak!

I am also eating whatever my piggy peepers are landing on 😩 Went to IKEA today and had lunch at half eleven, small plate of meatballs AND a Dime cake pud. Determined not to scoff now until tea time. yoga (unless some baklava turns up....)

The mooch round has bought on some serious back ache though. clutching at symptoms

lildottie · 22/03/2016 15:54

So my GP wants to repeat yesterday's glucose test as it's borderline. I probably shouldn't be eating these 5mini danishes but this course I'm on is totally shit

KateBeckett · 22/03/2016 16:20

I'm also eating non stop... We went to Costco at the weekend and bought a box of malteasers snack bags... That was a mistake! I ate a full bag and made myself feel sick! Blush

Just had my third midwife appointment, and my third midwife. Is that normal? I was hoping I'd see the first one again... This one was lovely, so no real issue but it would be nice to see someone more than once!

pee oh the swamp foof! I terrified my friend with tales of the swamp foof this weekend!

FeatheredTail · 22/03/2016 16:37

Sky thanks for sharing your birth story - so glad you felt supported and good tips to get chatty with the midwives! Can't believe you're doing the school run already. How're you feeling?

Yay for mat leave 5hell! Hope you're getting lots of rest. I'm on annual leave this week. I don't know how I'm going to muster another two weeks at work after this!!

FeatherFoetus gave me a scare yesterday - hadn't felt strong movements for 12 hours so took myself in for monitoring. Naturally as soon as I got there s/he started dancing about with a strong heartbeat. Phew. Could have lived without dashing to the hospital/feeling worried on my day off but glad I went in.

The tiredness has really set in now. Not sure whether it's the pregnancy or the side effects of the iron tablets I'm taking (arse rain alternated with being constipated) or the low iron.

Maybe I need a hotcross bun. Should sort me out right? Smile

Lil is that the GDD test you have to do again?

lildottie · 22/03/2016 17:25

Mmm hot cross buns!

Just standard blood glucose test ATM feathered and hopefully not going to have to have GTT. Lilbean is not a big bean, only on 10th centile so hopefully its just a false alarm

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/03/2016 18:40

lil it is actually really really good your GP is on top of things. GD doesn't just cause bigger babies and it can be managed if caught so fear not the GTT it really isn't so bad. PM me any time if you want to chat. I am boobing like crazy so on the internet on my mob like 20 hours a day lately.

Mermaid36 · 22/03/2016 19:28

I am also eating all the food, my appetite feels bottomless at the moment!

I've started with PGP as well this week. Walking is rather painful, as is moving from sitting/standing/lying down to any other position. Consultant at the clinic wasn't over helpful. Said I should take paracetamol and walk slowly, and that was pretty much it...

corgi88 · 22/03/2016 19:31

sky I have forgotten to say congrats!! and amazing birth story!

I am apparently 8+1 today.. still not a whisper of nausea. still getting the odd cramp from time to time, sore boobs and the most ridiculous constipation. Decided that the constipation is hopefully from high progesterone rather than underreplaced thyroxine.....
GPs being annoying and have no space to check my TFTs until next week. huh.
still on the fence about whether to get a scan, I might see who is on call over Easter weekend when I'm on... chat I've just finished a gynae job in my hospital so I really should have no shame in asking the gynae regs! haha. how are you doing? other newbies tell me of your symptoms!
hope everyone else is doing well and limbering up for labour and eating all the mini eggs

lildottie · 22/03/2016 19:44

Thanks sky. I'm a bit confused because receptionist said "fasting glucose" but it wasn't fasting so don't know if they have done the right test/are looking at the right parameters. Hopefully mw will be able to shed more light tomorrow. Totally agree though I'm lucky to have a GP who's interested enough to order a repeat test! Impressed how quickly they got results too, blood was taken at hospital 3pm yesterday and GP called about 10.30 this morning! Have been tesco and done a much healthier shop tonight so now we have actual food in the house that we can even make proper meala from. Not all bad as I needed a wake up call to look after myself better!

corgi screwed up bowels was definitely a progesterone thing for me. I'd go from constipation to desperate to go at a moment's notice! Not good when u have to keep a peasary in for 45 mins! Don't worry about the lack of nausea. Mine kicked in properly around 9-10weeks I think and even then it was bearable, I was never sick. Cramps aren't a bad thing either, but I was reminded several times on here that drinking more will help get rid of alot of that!
