Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

Good one Wool, don't spend it all at once!
Well done Shell! You can dance out of there with your head held high.
Trijo Turkish brekkie sounds amazing. You will certainly be an inspiration to the other women tonight, with that level of dedication. Hope you get to eat there. My friend works at Google and I enjoyed an amazing lunch at that office once.
Flowers Mermaid, hope you get a late energy boost and/or get signed off work.
Peenut I think anxiety type thoughts are a lesser talked about pg symptom. When ddog was ill, I kept imagining the worst and getting really emotional.
Feathered I started after my mc to try to get my fucked up cycle back to normal. I've carried on through pg because my doc reckons it helps have an easy pg and birth. I've been pretty lucky so far so maybe he's right.

Mermaid36 · 16/03/2016 18:41

pee I worked out the other day that my girls are the same size each as a singleton baby at the same stage! Ive got friends who are pregnant and at about the same number of weeks, so we compared measurements etc.

No bloody wonder I'm huge, I have double the weight/ amount of stuff inside me as everyone else! Eurgh!

lildottie · 16/03/2016 19:46

fruit I'm also doing acupuncture and consider myself to have had an easy pg so far

mer so not jealous of you being big/exhausted but I am jealous u may get signed off at the stage I am now!

aus good to hear from you. Congratulations!

Shit day at work. Tired as hell again this week. Guess I'm heading for start of third trimester fun...

Illiria · 16/03/2016 19:48

Hey all, thanks for the well wishes. Went for scan and they were running an hour late. Very fuzzy image but there is a fluttering heartbeat, getting another scan on the 31st so at just over 9w. The person doing the scan seemed pleased so trying not to be despondent about picture quality.

blood tests tomorrow and a call from the endocrinology department on Monday.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 16/03/2016 20:13

Good news ill a heartbeat is the best possible sign at this stage. Don't worry about pic quality. At that stage they just look like blobs... it's at 11-13 weeks when you see what looks like a baby for the first time and it is wonderful...

5hell you've got time... lots of babies like to be late too...

Feathered it is freaky when they suddenly go mad but try not to worry. Doctors almost never regard increased movement as a problem - I know because I took myself to MDU when minisky did a 5 hour kickboxing session at 36 weeks. The consultant says it is the sign of a healthy baby...

That said there are about 2 hours a night where I am literally pushing limbs back in to stay comfortable... perhaps I should stop and maybe let her go mental?aybe then my waters would go?!

wool I feel your pain and send CakeBrewFlowers in solidarity. We're in the end zone!

tri you absolute legend! I hope for their sake the food was at least good... oh and where's this Turkish eggs joint? Baby brunch date sometime perhaps? I love Turkish brekkie and am a North Londoner...

FuzzyOwl · 16/03/2016 21:01

Great news Ill.

Canters I am on mat leave! But I assume your vision doesn't involve having a nine month old baby to look after whilst morning sickness makes an appearance!

lildottie · 16/03/2016 21:14

So pleased for you ill mc risk significantly reduces once you see HB from 8wks. My 8wk scan was fuzzy and blob like. I suspect quality is something to do with it being transvaginal scan at a guess but def don't worry about the lack of HD Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 16/03/2016 22:34

Great news on your fuzzy blob with a HB Ill :)

FeatheredTail · 16/03/2016 23:07

Just lost a fecking long post due to crappy ads at the bottom of this page. General gist:

  1. Ill - amazing news on the scan. At 9+3 I saw what looked like tiny limbs moving robotically. It was amazing. So pleased you get another scan and this one was so positive.
  1. Sky - wetting self at limbs/pushing back in comment. You have a Wimbledon champion in there for sure!
  1. Lil and Fruit glad the acupuncture is contributing to positive pregnancies. I'm going to look into it in a few weeks if this baby isn't in the right position by 36 weeks.
Peenut · 16/03/2016 23:20

Yes don't worry am about picture quality Ill. I remember the sonographer gleefully showing me a shadowy baked bean with a heartbeat at 7 weeks, really did look like a small blob!

lildottie · 17/03/2016 07:35

Morning all

feathered acupuncture works better on a cumulative basis, not a one off fix, because it's about restoring balance in the body/chi so u may want to start sooner.

Canters15 · 17/03/2016 08:01

fuzzy Grin

I think I need to know about this Turkish breakfast place. Sounds right up my street and just the sort of thing I'd nag DH to take me to under the guise of cravings Wink

FuzzyOwl · 17/03/2016 08:51

I am starting to feel better about this pregnancy, which I really hope isn't misguided. I still have few symptoms although a bit of nausea is making an appearance now and I am covered in spots. Since I am getting up to go to the loo loads in the night, I think the spots complement the black bags under my eyes and the snotty, full of cold, nose. I've also started to have random vivid dreams and wish I didn't have such an extensive imagination, because there really is no holding it back when I am asleep!

5hell · 17/03/2016 10:02

sounds familiar fuzzy (except spots thankfully, so i predict a girl for you Grin)

ill so pleased about your bubs' HB...when they showed us the hb on our 8w scan i wasn't entirely convinced it wasn't static!!

penultimate day at work Smile
mw this afternoon (anything important i should ask her at this stage??)
dh built cot and finished drawers yesterday - he's a keeper (although we disagree slightly on furniture placement, but I'm clearly going to win that one!)

Canters15 · 17/03/2016 11:14

I think I've decided to book a private scan. Thinking will go at 8-9 weeks. Will they be able to see heartbeat then without going up la fanjo?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 17/03/2016 11:28

Induction booked for tomorrow at 8am! Consultant promised one pessary only and 24 hours max before moving things along (a drawn out for many days induction was one of my big worries)

Off to celebrate with some baby shopping with DP in Islington. So excited! Grin

fruitlovingmonkey · 17/03/2016 11:57

Excellent news Ill! Was it an abdominal scan or vaginal?
Canters my doc does vaginal until about 10 weeks but she is a gynaecologist so she's not shy around the fanjo. Not sure what you'd get with a private scan clinic.
Anything about birth you need to know Shell or have you covered it all at nct?
Great news Sky, your baby is coming out to meet you this week!
Have just got a date for our fitted wardrobes going in. Beyond excited! I'm so over keeping my clothes in piles on the floor like a teenager although luckily I have very few clothes that still fit so it hasn't been too bad

TriJo · 17/03/2016 11:59

Best of luck with it Sky - hopefully all goes well :)

Heading out for a nice walk, lovely morning here and want to go and satisfy a couple of Irish food cravings for the day that's in it. Club Orange and a bar of Cadburys Tiffin incoming, and I'm going to get the makings of coddle and brown soda bread for later.

Mermaid36 · 17/03/2016 13:07

How exciting sky - bet you are looking forward to not being pregnant anymore!

This last week I've become absolutely starving all the time...I'm trying to eat vaguely healthy (ie some actual fruit and veg) but I could happily eat 2 courses at every meal, which isn't great. I'm hoping it's because the babies are putting plenty of weight on....

FeatheredTail · 17/03/2016 14:17

Working from home today and tomorrow and off next week - YAY! (trying my best not to be too jealous of those of you on/about to go on mat leave already!!)

Sky - amazing - what a relief knowing that the action is going to start happening for sure tomorrow. Enjoy Upper Street (I used to live just off Upper Street - I loved it!)

Mer my appetite has also gone through the roof. I'm eating like a beast. Forget eating for two, I'm eating for about 17.

Canters15 · 17/03/2016 14:25

Gx sky!

YogaPants · 17/03/2016 14:59

Go Sky! How exciting that you might finally meet MiniSky this weekend.

I am with you on the wanting to eat all the time Mer. I've been trying to trick myself into eating healthy options by having carrot sticks and hummous or my retro snack of celery, raisins and peanut butter on hand at work because otherwise I have lost all resistance to the sweets and biscuits that appear for sharing at the ends of everyone's desks. then I come on here and all anyone wants to talk about are brownies and minieggs

Illiria · 17/03/2016 15:23

Yay Sky gx it's a quick induction.

Fruit it was a vaginal scan, had some pink bleeding 12 hours later which has freaked DH out. He couldn't sleep, it stopped pretty much as soon as it started.

today has been a cavalcade of fail. this morning having blood tests and nurse is like 'oh yeah there is this thing you need to drink then we do the blood test an hour later' - I'm absolutely confused as no one said anything about that so she's like 'well it needs to be done before 24 weeks as you're high risk.' News to me. Plus as the guy yelled out my name as I was in the middle of doing my urine sample I got stage fright for the first time in my life and couldn't finish the sample Angry. So most likely need to do the urine sample again and have this other test that takes an hour. Plus DH is so sleepy he almost took us to the wrong doctors to get the blood test done then forgot to take me home to get breakfast, so I am still hungry and really want my cranberry juice Sad

Illiria · 17/03/2016 16:13

God that was a moan and a half - sorry

ChatEnOeuf · 17/03/2016 17:05

I love a tiffin :)

Ill that sounds like a glucose tolerance test - usually done between 24 and 28 weeks, so I'd think you're okay there. I did chuckle at your peeing stage fright. Who would have thought a viroid couldn't pee Grin

Good luck sky!
