Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 45th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 59th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. I really hope that worked!

Happy Mother's Day everyone. I, too, could be bribed into anything for bacon. Smile

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/03/2016 13:53

She's not having it Envy just back from a long walk. Sore and tired with a merry little thing having a party in there but no labour. Have DP preparing GD friendly hot choc and biccies and then he is going to roast me a chicken for Mothers Day dinner with DD. Can't complain really. I have it pretty good.

Birthing ball an excellent pressie feathered it'll come in handy soon Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/03/2016 16:46

DP eating peanut butter and cheese on toast after finally hanging art that has been sat around for 3 years and tidying the flat. I seriously think he is pregnant and nesting! Grin

Might have had bit of a sign earlier but mostly ignoring it for now. Looking forward to dinner with DD later.

SecondCupOfTea · 06/03/2016 18:40

No change here. Still very uncomfortable, mild period pain, BH contractions and pink/brown discharge. Glamorous it is not.

KateBeckett · 06/03/2016 19:19

Hey viroids!

St Davids St Davids St Davids for you all today!

Any news tea and sky ? I am waving my pom-poms madly for you!

pee how are you deary? Sorry dp is being an arse, he is obv not thinking about how his rants are affecting you. Are you feeling movements properly now?

I went for a swim today, wanted it to be lovely but it was actually just uncomfortable and made the bottom of my bump sore Sad

Discofairypants · 06/03/2016 19:30

Happy Mothers Day you lovely bunch!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/03/2016 20:38

I thought my waters were leaking at one point but it may have been a bit of escaped wee... ho hum.

Dinner was lovely but XH brought DD back late, approx 1 hour before her bedtime and she hadn't finished her homework, hadn't eaten, and smelled of wee. Upon bathing her I discovered nappy rash and wee stained knickers that she claims to have worn for 2 days Angry I have managed not to go completely psychotic on him and over a series of texts managed to convey that he really needs to get his shit together because it isn't good to model this kind of behaviour for her. She needs a dad who acts like a bloody dad FFS. Thank goodness I am not in full blown labour or I may have been tempted to thump him. Very nice to be reminded why we didn't work out though. I often forget how angry and resentful we were when we were together...

Have DD all to myself in the bed tonight. I am too big to cuddle her in her bunk anymore which is just as well because DP moved to the sofa weeks ago. Our duelling sboring made it impossible for either of us to sleep when we are in the same bed lately! Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/03/2016 21:25

Duelling snoring even. Apparently mine is quite remarkable.

tea I am rooting for you. Early labour is a long game... stay relaxed and positive. You can do this! CakeBrewFlowers

TriJo · 06/03/2016 22:08

He deserves a throatpunching Sky - that's absolutely horrible, your poor DD!

Swimming has started to get uncomfortable. This is a sad day :(

5hell · 06/03/2016 22:14

mer/lil & co thanks so much for your advice and kind words. Mum is doing v well, although just starting to lose her hair. she and dsis threw me a micro-baby shower too, had knitted some lovely bits, and we did some crafty stuff too...perfect :)

gosh sky how did you not go ballistic!?...you have some self-control there.

kate were you swimming too hard/fast perhaps? perhaps some strokes are better than others?

night night (someone do a baby soon please! Wink)

FuzzyOwl · 06/03/2016 22:22

Oh Sky I am impressed with your self control. Angry on your behalf. I hope your DD's rash clears up quickly and your XH gets his act together by next visit.

Peenut · 06/03/2016 22:51

Blimming heck Sky - that's awful! You did well not to smack him one! I'm with Tri on the throat punch! Did you all get your roast dinner though? Hope so!

Hey Kate! Thanks for the daffs! St Davids I love a daffodil! DH is ok ... finding his outbursts draining, because what he's worried about is actually nothing to worry about. He'll be a good dad but I wish he could see that and get his head together. No doubt he'll be fine for a week or two now before he will again say something stupid and panicked stricken... Not sure what to tell him really that will sink in, think maybe antenatal classes might help (or may just induce further panic). I'll be the one with the hyperventilating husband at NCT Kate!

Had a right episode earlier - went out for tapas with DM and DB and only seats were on these funny tall stools that cut if blood supply to your legs. Ate most of my food before going pale and sweaty and sickly and almost fainting into my potatas bravas. Ended up on the pavement outside, head between knees, like a pissed person, being fussed over by various strangers passing water and chairs. A pissed woman did stagger out and gave me a sympathetic nod, like, we've all been there love!

Went all weird in the way home and cried like a hysterical person while laughing at the same time. Oh but on the plus side it was an excellent way to get out of paying for dinner! Blush

Note to self - think I've been doing to much lately!!! Another World Book Day schools event tomorrow and Tuesday ... Then think I need a day off on weds! (I hereby give myself the day off!)

St DavidsChocolateSt Davids to 5hell and Mermaid's mums and sisters. Hope all are 'fine' and good that you guys are on the look out for them St Davids

Peenut · 06/03/2016 22:53

Ps - oooh, could just have a swim now!! Boo to it hurting you though. Maybe no butterfly stroke next time?

KateBeckett · 07/03/2016 06:57

sky Angry what a tosser. Your poor dd! You showed masses of restraint not going absolutely postal at him.

5hell definitely wasn't going too hard or too fast Grin Blush it wasn't painful as such, more just uncomfortable... Meh!

Eek pee hope you're feeling better now! I've done the hysterical crying/laughing thing. It's most odd!

I actually can't remember my last full nights sleep... Feeling dreadful and not looking forward to work this week.

Mermaid36 · 07/03/2016 07:32

Swimming wise (as a mermaid) I've been told not to do breaststroke in later pregnancy as it moves your hips around in funny ways....stick to front crawl and make it lazy - nice big strokes, 6 kicks to a breath etc....

lildottie · 07/03/2016 07:37

Morning viroids.
sky you are amazing to have been so level. I would have gone totally postal and been less than reasonable! Hope dd's rash clears up quickly.

Kate I went swimming for first time in ages valentines weekend and it was so odd. Felt like my bump was going to fall off. Got used to it after a few lengths but it was weird!

Those of you with children already, this guideline about room temp being between 16-20 degrees for a baby and ideally 18, do you agree with it. Our room is 18 this morning when we've woken up and I'm huddled under the quilt cold! I'm not saying I want to make it tropical in here but 18 doesn't seem right.

5hell · 07/03/2016 07:39

Cute cardigans Grin ...

We've got newbies to cheer us on, the February Warm-Up is complete, after waiting nine long months it's only bloody time for March Madness! Welcome to JS thread no. 46!
Mermaid36 · 07/03/2016 08:43

Viroids - could anyone use 2 tickets to the Baby & Toddler Show in Manchester on Sunday (13th March)....We've ended up with a couple of spares...I can email them if anyone would like them

KateBeckett · 07/03/2016 09:35

How much are they mer ?

TriJo · 07/03/2016 09:37

Mermaid - I always hated breaststroke anyway so not doing that was never an issue! Little guy is really low now and that's putting a lot of pressure on the front of my pelvis when I kick which is quite uncomfortable. Using a pull buoy and swimming arms-only helps matters. I'm 38 weeks though so that's probably understandable.

Woken up at 7am to take a delivery today. Too fecking early!

fruitlovingmonkey · 07/03/2016 10:15

Happy (belated) mother's day viroids! Are we to assume from that very practical present that FeatherFoetus is a boy?!
I'm going with European mother's day because my baby should be here by then! DH might need some prompting though, last year Fruitdog remembered father's day but not mother's day Sad
Ooh Shell those cardigans are adorable! Glad to hear your mum is in good spirits, I bet she enjoys focusing on the baby as a positive thing in her life.
Sky can totes see why you divorced him! Well done for staying calm.
Hope you're feeling better Pee. My DH is generally very relaxed about the imminent arrival of a baby probably too relaxed but he did start to stress out about us not having bought all the kit yet. Now that we've got the crib, buggy and car seat, he has calmed down a lot. Are there any practical tasks he can do to help him prepare? e.g. researching travel systems or building furniture.
Fruitdog is a lot better. He has now slept through the night in his own bed the last two nights. He's still not interested in his food and will only eat tiny bits of chicken off a human plate but it's a big improvement. He really gave us a scare this week, he's normally so invincible. Now I need to try and buy all the stuff I was going to get for my hospital bag in London today. Life would be so much easier if Boots existed all over the world!

FuzzyOwl · 07/03/2016 10:20

I am having a wobble this morning. I feel quite crampy, as if AF is about to appear, and have no pregnancy symptoms at all. I am between 5 and 6 weeks. This is quite normal, isn't it?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 07/03/2016 11:00

fuzzy try not to panic. Symptoms come and go and AF cramping is a totally normal one as the womb expands. Sending FlowersCakeBrew to cheer you up.

5hell it must be hard seeing your DM like that but I am sure that seeing you and doing 'normal' things means the world to her. Lovely cardis too! Absolutely adorable!

And thanks everyone for your indignance on my behalf. I largely stayed calm last night so I could enjoy what little was left of Morhers Day with DD. This moning when I got her dressed for school discovered that her jacket was covered in mud and chocolate cake which XH had half-heartedly tried to spot clean and failed to mention at drop off. So I gave her a wipe down and took her to school then came home and had a cry on DPs chest about it all as I have many times before. XH isn't a bad person or malicious... he is just hopeless. He admits that he wants to do better but just never gets around to it. My own dad was much the same and largely absent from my life. At least he wants to see DD even if he doesn't seem to have the first clue how to be a responsible parent. It puts me in a difficult position and one where I am forced to confront the ghosts of my own unhappy childhood regularly. I am just glad that I left while she was still small and will not be poisoned by the anger and resentment his selfish and thoughtless behaviour stirs up in me. I am considering making him a checklist to follow so that he is aware of the basic hygiene and parenting requirements during his access. Mad isn't it?!

FuzzyOwl · 07/03/2016 11:16

Thanks Sky. I needed the reminder and appreciate the flowers, cake and brew. I don't think a checklist is at all mad. You say he isn't bad or malicious and knows he is hopeless so you would think a reminder to make sure his daughter is not in any pain or upset about things should be something he gratefully accepts.

5hell · 07/03/2016 11:21

sky now might be a good time for the checklist for xh...I dont suppose you'll need extra work/worry once skybaby is here

fruit gx ddog continues to improve. one of ours had a hilarious sneezing fit last night - v amusing :)

The red cardi is so teeny...I think I'd better take it in hospital bag as it may not fit for more than a few days!!!

fuzzy try and relax, crampy is normal...perhaps distract yourself with something non-baby related?
