Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Soda I'm consultant lead and still seeing a normal midwife too.

I'm soooo tired today. I've also started coming over very queezy again, although it doesn't last long. I'm really struggling to deal on the days I'm in the office, by the end of the morning I just feel like I need to lay down for a bit. Going to work from home again tomorrow.

That's interesting runner, I haven't had a sniff of a midwife since booking in - they've said everything else will be consultant at hospital. Different areas I guess. I'd like to see a midwife - I had about 3 minutes with the consultant last time Sad.

Sorry you're struggling. I can barely keep my eyes open at my desk.

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 12:27

My midwife referred me to the consultant, booked that appointment and booked my next appointment with her at the same time.

I got the impression that the midwife would continue doing general pregnancy checks etc. but consultant would just deal specifically with my other problem.

I'd contact the midwife team and tell them you want to see the midwife.

Ok, pretty sure yesterday's football match in my tummy was movement. I just had another of the twitchy sensations in a completely different place (just the one this time) but it definitely wasn't a muscle twitch it was too pokey Grin

Hi

Thanks for getting back about the 16 weeks. Yeah apparently they've just forgotten to book me in. They are USELESS!!!!

Hi pink! I'm doing well Yknow thanks, I honestly can't complain about anything!! How are you-sickness is a bit better?

Has anyone thought much about the sex of their baby? I have, a lot.

X

BunchOfBobs · 15/03/2016 13:16

Yay Runner, in glad Potato is making his presence known (we both refer to ours a he's I've noticed).

LisaTheGreek · 15/03/2016 13:18

Runner, that's so exciting!

Remind us how far along you are?

LisaTheGreek · 15/03/2016 13:19

shelb - do you have a preference? (Obviously the main preference is that it's healthy, but wondered if you have a leaning towards boy or girl)

Or have you just been trying to work it out and see what it feels like? Grin

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 13:42

Bunch funny isn't it. Mine's just always felt like a he... Will probably turn out to be a girl Confused

Lisa I'm 16+3 and I'm getting some fluttering a bit more often I'm getting the same sensation as you get when your eye twitches.

BunchOfBobs · 15/03/2016 13:55

Mine too Runner I've had two occasions where they suddenly feel like a girl but that goes pretty quickly. My DM is adamant it's a girl. Hopefully find out Monday eek!

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 13:58

Ooo exciting Bunch!!! Good luck

i have no sign of movement, can't for the life of me feel my uterus or anything but normal squishy belly when poking around, and have no bump. Am 15+2. Am now terrified something's gone wrong since 12 week scan!

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 14:58

Nev I wouldn't worry. You shouldn't expect to feel anything until 16 weeks and most first pregnancies don't feel anything until 20 weeks. Also, bumps vary in sizes, mines massive because of my fibroid (and I'm fat Blush) but I saw another woman the same stage as me in the loo last week (I know what stage she was because she was chatting) and she didn't look as if she had a bump at all.
It really does depend on the person and pregnancy and I'm sure everything is fine.

Nevlet · 15/03/2016 15:01

Thanks runner...I hardly have a trim tummy...it just seems all fat and no baby haha!

Sodasoda · 15/03/2016 15:40

Thanks runner I'll do that.

Definitely don't worry about not showing yet nev - it could just depend on your shape / how your womb is tilted. I'd also heard that you generally didn't feel much til around 20 weeks or later with your first but would love it to be earlier!

We're not finding out sex. I was saying 'she' but at my 12 week scan the sonographer said he could tell what it was so now I'm calling bean 'he' because I reckon he saw bits if he could tell that early!! DH has been saying 'he' all along but genuinely neither of us mind at all.

Pinklily1 · 15/03/2016 16:36

Nev, I can't feel any flutterings yet either and I am 16 weeks today.

Shelb, I often wonder whether baby is a he or she. We refer to it as a he, but I honesty have no idea! I'm counting down to when we can find out - only three weeks to go!

I'm feeling much better than I was in terms of sickness and nausea but really struggling with the dizziness. I'm going to mention it to the midwife tomorrow. I'm also still waiting for the elusive 'glowing' to kick in Hmm

RaeSkywalker · 15/03/2016 17:51

Hi all, can I join please? Got my BFP today- I'm about 6 weeks. It all seems so surreal!

Feeling a bit rough already, I've had nausea for a week or so, and cramps. My GP assures me that the cramps should ease soon though?

Pinklily1 · 15/03/2016 18:35

Hi Rae and welcome!

I think a fair few of us had cramps near the beginning. They do ease!

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 19:01

Welcome Rae (I assume you of the Rae is Luke's daughter camp lol)

Yep lots of cramps early on... They don't last too long though.

RaeSkywalker · 15/03/2016 19:04

Thanks Pink and Runner! I was sure when I chose the username but... If you see a RaeSolo on here at some point then don't be surprised Wink

BunchOfBobs · 15/03/2016 19:30

Congrats and welcome Rae. Definitely had cramps in the early weeks here. They were gone by 8/9 weeks.

Newmrs22 · 15/03/2016 19:48

Hi all! I'm 18 weeks today and yet to feel definite movement. Could be because of my anterior placenta but I'd really like to feel something! It must be so reassuring to feel movement. It's over 3 weeks until my scan too so no reassurance for a while.

I had a dream baby was a girl! Other than that, I've had no feeling either way. I really don't mind what we have, think DH would love a boy but he says he's not fussed.

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 19:53

No way she's a Solo, timeframe just doesn't fit. Also, the point about her being so strong with the force is definitely a ref to the Skywalker's (I love how many nerdy usernames are on MN lol)

I've got my 12 week scan on Friday morning. What do I need to know? I remember that I need to drink at least a pint of water and hour before but other than that... Confused

Runner05 · 15/03/2016 20:07

Don't drink a pint of water!! It's an evil lie Shock

Just drink normally, you'll be fine. And relax they'll just pop you on a table and wobble the wand thing over the bottom it your tummy. You might be a little bruised the next day as they're not gentle (hence why, don't drink too much) and if your centre is anything like mine be prepared for the appointments to be running at least half hour late.

Good luck!
