There must be some truth in it!

Scase1firsttimemum · 07/02/2016 21:33

Excuse the bits on the arm of the chair, but talking about obsessive pets! Heres the pregnant cat I was talking about! I sit down and there she is!

Awh, congrats Scase, I am so pleased for you! Cute kitty, too!

Well, I'm team blue and I wasn't sick at all (although I felt awfully nauseous and off-colour for weeks), so that bears out - but the only cravings I can really say I've had are for fairly sweet things - orange ice lollies and biscuits - and last week I REALLY wanted a cucumber after having eaten a bit of a particularly sweet and fresh one.

Congrats to everyone that found out what they are having today!! 💗💙

Congrats on the scans and finding out team pink/blue ladies Thanks

Cookiesandcoffee · 07/02/2016 22:29

vickie let me know your thoughts once you've watched it! I was shocked!
scase love your cat! I'm such a cat lover (thank goodness I have husband and children haha)
indians with my girls I wanted- sweets, jam, scones with jam, Ribena , fruit juice, the thought of pizza and crisps made my stomach turn. Felt sick but never was sick.
This time with a boy I'm all about the crisps (chilli Doritos/Monster munch and Kettle Chips) sausages (most meat really) prawns cheese, butter and curry. And the gender predictions were right 2/3 times. Bump seems different for a boy this time. My skin and hair has been crap all times though :(
Not one episode of vomiting either times so I guess I should be thankful for that!

Vickie360 · 07/02/2016 22:59

Hi cookies he was a bit strange Confused waiting for her to finish feeding so she could make him beans on toast! What did you think? I really can't wait to meet my little one now though

Scase1firsttimemum · 08/02/2016 05:29

Chilli doritos are my life at the moment!!

Jem01 · 08/02/2016 06:28

primarynoodle · 08/02/2016 06:36

Yes me jem!

Weeing/lack of comfort is really disturbing my sleep grrr..

Pinseyboo38 · 08/02/2016 07:18

20 week scan today at 10:15, although I am only 19+1. Despite having seen little one 4 times now I am extremely nervous and haven't slept a wink.
Happy Monday everyone X

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 08/02/2016 08:01

jem that is literally my life at the moment, I'm constantly in the loo its so annoying! I feel like I go about 6 times an hour HmmGetting rid of that and the insomnia is what I'm looking forward to most at the end of this pregnancy (apart from the lovely baby of course)

Good luck with your scan today pinsey

julfin · 08/02/2016 08:24

Congrats ladies on the scans and the exciting gender news! Good luck today Pinsey! Ours is three weeks away - really looking forward to finding out boy/girl. Yesterday we agreed on a couple of boys' names that we both like (We'd already got the girls' names sorted - DH really wants a girl) so at least we won't be at a loss for names either way...

minieggaddict · 08/02/2016 08:34

Congrats on all the scans and gender reveals. Only 4 sleeps til mine! This is going to be the longest week.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/02/2016 09:00

Scase yay congratulations on a boy. Great pics.

Allthegood congratulations on a girl. How exciting.

It's interesting about symptoms. With my first two (previous relationship) I had sickness. It was mostly caused by extreme heartburn. I carried all out front and you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind. Cravings were all savoury eg pork pies , sausage rolls & chips. Ds3 I carried the same. No sickness apart from a bit of nausea at the beginning. Heartburn. I liked puddings but main craving was salt & vinegar crisps. Terrible insomnia. Greasy hair. Clear skin. This time I've put on weight everywhere especially my hips and bum. Cravings cake, tangfastics and biscuits. I had quite a bit of nausea at the start & still get it now & again. Headaches. Haven't suffered with heartburn as yet. Sleeping great apart from having to get up to go to the downstairs loo. Dry hair and quite spotty.

I think I'm team blue again.

Good luck to those having scans today.

You guys are making me want a cat!

Just been pondering on baby movement, as I have felt very little in the last few days compared to the sudden onslaught of mini-thumps I was getting a week ago. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that my bump has suddenly popped out, so now the baby has more room and isn't poking me as much?

vickie my blood was boiling, such a useless excuse for a man. Don't get me wrong my DH is far from perfect but even he was angered by this guy!
jem always weeing here - can barely make my school/nursery run at the mo! Have to ask to use the loo nearly every day!
Good luck on your scan today pinsey hope it goes well Smile ours is a week today!
scase it's definitely a boy thing! I threw a strop when the garage didn't have any this morning on my way to work.. Settled for Monster munch...Hmm
indians your cat is beautiful!! Honestly if we didn't have DC3 on the way we would be getting more cats.. We are still debating getting new one Blush
bluebell I have felt considerably less over the weekend. It's not time to start worrying about it yet is what I've been telling myself and yes totally could be a placenta thing. Didn't stop me getting the Doppler out every day...

I'm trying to work from home and also being harassed by my cat! He's sat on my feet and won't move.

Congratulations to all those who have found out we have another 3 weeks till our NHS anomaly scan and have decided to have the private scan where we will take our DD after just in case.. I am becoming more convinced I am having a boy though!

We have been kindly given a cotbed by my friend, I have a vague memory in the back of my head about its good to buy a new mattress (nothing wrong with his one) anyone know if we should buy one?

Hope everyone isn't being too affected by the storm it's wild where I am!

Congrats on the scan pinsey

so I literally just had my first bout of morning sickness (ever!) .... and it's starting in the second trimester?! I could barely make it to the loo in time - its a good thing I'm working from home today. Feeling yucky and really hoping it's a touch of food poisoning or something. Has anyone ever heard of morning sickness in the first trimester?
