frozen I will be 35+3 when I finish so very similar!

Nicky333 · 24/03/2016 14:23

The scan was fine today, thanks ladies. All normal, got two pictures of her face. In one she looks like a vampire and in the other she looks like a grump Grin

My low placenta has moved up too, so no more issues there.

GrouchyKiwi · 24/03/2016 16:11

Glad your scan went well, Nicky. Bump measurement is a very inexact thing.

Flowers for all of you who are waiting for maternity leave to begin. You must be exhausted!

Was a bit naughty today and moved my herb wheel across half of the garden. Will possibly regret it later.

glad everything is ok Nicky, I always wonder how they can take bump measurements because everyone is so different! and good to hear about your placenta too that must be one less worry!

grouchy get your feet up and don't move for the rest of the night to counteract it lol not entirely sure what a herb wheel is but guessing its big and heavy!

counting down the minutes to finish for Easter weekend.....4 whole days off! bliss!

Nicky333 · 24/03/2016 20:06

According to the consultant I saw after my scan, scan measurements can be out by 20% either way, so scans aren't reliable either.

The placenta moving is good, but it means I don't get my lovely c-section at 38 weeks and will have to push this baby out Shock

Hi everyone hope you are all well. I was due to have my baby the first week of May, however she decided to make an early appearance by 8 weeks and was born on the 12th March! A beautiful 4lb baby girl...Smile

GrouchyKiwi · 24/03/2016 21:33

Congratulations on your little girl, Melinda. Hope everything's going well.

Congratulations Melinda! First baby of the thread! Hope the two of you are doing well. Is she still in hospital or home yet?

Melinda76 · 25/03/2016 08:35

Thanks Smile She's still in hospital in the neonatal ward, but doing really well - the nurses all say she obviously has no idea she is a preemie! Lol

ParsnipSoup · 25/03/2016 10:29

That's great news that she's doing so well Melinda, I bet you can't wait to have her home with you though. Hoping you have a weekend full of lovely little baby cuddles.

Nicky333 · 25/03/2016 13:48

Oooh, congratulations Melinda! Now off you pop to the March thread Wink

Sephipops · 26/03/2016 11:17

Morning ladies :) I'm a newbie to MN, due with a pink bump on 28th May!

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 26/03/2016 11:31

Welcome sephi and happy long weekend to everyone else!
I'm on my way to visit my family overnight (just an hour on the train), made the fatal mistake of buying a coffee for the train and NOTHING sweet to go with it...just these 6 Easter eggs in my bag...Hmm
DP was away in Thursday night and all day yesterday so I had plans to see one group of friends for brunch, and others for a fancy afternoon tea, and went home in between. According to the step counter in my phone I walked 5.5 miles and I definitely felt it - I only realised when it was too late that I had really overdone it! Definitely slowing down my pace now at 34 weeks and need to remember this when I am making social plans so as to not wipe myself out completely! How is everyone else doing?

frozensmoothie · 26/03/2016 11:47

Welcome sephi and congratulations melinda

35 weeks tomorrow and definitely feel myself slowing down and getting puffed out more easily. It was a struggle just to clean the bathroom yesterday! Meeting up with a friend for lunch today which means a 1.5 mile walk into town and back. Hopefully I'll manage it but know what you mean cant about making social plans. I want to see friends but at the same time its hard to remember to pace yourself and not get too exhausted!

ODog · 26/03/2016 12:00

Congratulations melinda. So pleased she is doing so well. Must have been a bit scary knowing she was coming so early!

Welcome sephi.

I know what you mean about overdoing it. Spent yesterday walking charging around a farm with DH and DS yesterday and my back aches so bad by the evening. Then DS had his swimming lesson this morning which I still have to go in with him and he was a lunatic wanting to jump off me the whole time so going to let DH do everything else today. Especially as his parents in laws from hell are 'popping by' expecting extensive entertainment and catering and then he is going skiing for a week and leaving me to it with DS tonight!

Sephipops · 26/03/2016 12:02

Mmmmm Easter Eggs. There's 7 currently sat in our kitchen cupboard. I'm telling the OH that it should be 2 for him, 2 for me, 2 for the bump and one to share. He doesn't seem that impressed, apparently babies aren't supposed to have chocolate before they're born! Hmm

GrouchyKiwi · 26/03/2016 16:50

Welcome Sephi and you're absolutely right about the distribution of Easter Eggs!

Glad your little one is doing so well, Melinda.

DH and I are having our first weekend alone since before DD1 was born. It is so quiet!

Hope you ask have a lovely Easter.

OP posts:
ParsnipSoup · 27/03/2016 03:11

Welcome Sephi, obviously your OH knows nothing about fetal development, Easter chocolate is essential for good baby growth.

I'm impressed that some of you lot are only slowing down at 35 weeks. I feel a little bit like a slug when I'm walking around and I'm not quite 32 weeks.

Had such a good sleep before my nightshift tonight that I'm in such a good mood. I guess clocks going forward also helps. Hope everyone else is having a happy Easter weekend.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 27/03/2016 08:50

Don't get me wrong parsnip, the slowing down process has happened in many stages (plus I think I forget and overdo it, then have to remind myself again!!). From what I remember it was probably even before about 26 weeks that I first started slowing down...
But now it's a whole other level!! I think my baby is in a really awkward position a lot of the time as I find walking seriously uncomfortable and sometime practically have to shuffle along as I'm so slow! The upside is that over this weekend I seem to have learned the art of not being late for things - instead I allow LOADS of time and then arrive a teensy bit early!
Happy Easter everyone :) I'm lying in bed at my sister's house trying to ignore the sound of 3 screaming children downstairs and knowing that if I'm hungry I have to go down there....!

Sephipops · 27/03/2016 11:41

I've been slowing down by degrees. My walk to asda in my lunch break is now a struggle to complete in half an hour, use to be able to get there, around and back in under 20 minutes. Haven't learnt the trick to arriving anywhere on time yet though. Never managed to do that pre-pregnancy, so why change xD

ODog · 27/03/2016 21:14

Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Me and DS have been looked after by my parents all day today as DH is off on his ski trip, so that's been nice. I also forgot how much I love the spring clock change. DS up at 7am instead of 6am today....bliss! Even though I know in my head it's the same amount of sleep, it's feels amazing!

Everythinggettingbigger · 28/03/2016 14:32

Congratulations Melinda I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and couldn't imagine having my baby now! Glad to hear she's doing so well that's lovely!

Hi sephi I'm due 24th so we are very close! Is this your first?

cant you have done well to still even be making them plans at 35 weeks! 35 weeks wow baby will be here before you know it!

Well I've spent the weekend binge eating easter eggs and I'm paying for it with my skin! Covered in spots this morning oops! DS got a ridiculous amount though and can't be left to eat it all alone can he!

Sephipops · 28/03/2016 16:44

Hey, yeah this my first. A miracle baby by all accounts - my other half had cancer when he was 15, and a sperm count of "Only one mobile. Could not complete testing" he has been tested since I found out I was pregnant, and was increased to 125, so about 0.3% of normal! How about you?

I've been getting loads of Braxton Hicks this weekend, been driving me a bit loopy! Baby doesn't seem to care, she's currently trying to escape through my belly button!

ODog · 28/03/2016 21:10

Wow sephi. What a wonderful surprise that must have been. My baby feels like she's going to fall out today. I've also got the worst groin ache after proving I could still squat as low as a toddler and stand up without holding on to something. It was worth it though. Family were all suitably impressed. Haha!

Sephipops · 28/03/2016 21:55

It was a humongous surprise! We're still in shock now I think!

I'm also impressed you managed to get down and back up again... I couldn't! I was proud if myself for being able to cut my own toenails the other day!
