Nixxxy I wouldn't worry about the non leaking. I didn't at all with dd1, leaked daily from about 27 weeks with dd2 and this time round I'm 34 weeks and this morning was the first sign of anything. Not everyone gets and its defo not something I would miss if i didn't get it.

Paperblank · 30/01/2016 17:49

Have spent the day doing a bit of last minute shopping and pottering about cleaning. Sadly the house won't stay tidy for long that's because of you DH, you messy bugger

DH is working till 9.00 tonight so am going to treat myself to poached eggs on toast for tea!! How decadent Grin

Ah, don't worry, Rosie! It's a beauty, and you love it. What's anyone else got to do with it anyway!

Nix, my DBro (and his partner) got me a massage bar for Xmas, with the intention of it being more for stretch-mark prevention. It smells amazing. I want to text him and thank him every time I use it, but that would be weird! I so appreciate it though!

Regarding the leaky boobs - I didn't leak at all with DS, so had no idea. This time there's deffo colostrum there, but doesn't appear unless encouraged! Yet! (I keep thinking I should put some breast pads in my work bag just in case - working with teenagers, leakage would be a horrific experience for everyone!)

I've had the most relaxed day, it's been brilliant! Out and about this morning, then lounging around this arvo while DS happily played. A 5 year age gap is really paying off so far!

Missdee2014 · 30/01/2016 17:54

Poached eggs sounds yum Paper! I haven't had them my whole pregnancy though as I can only eat them soft.

I eventually made a start on my hospital bag purchases today. Got some jammies and a big nightie for delivering in (that's the plan anyway). Also wee bottles to fill with shampoo etc. Got a few bargains at a Aldi baby event - 12 packs of baby wipes for £6! Even picked up some wee tubs for weaning (long long way away I know but they were only 99p for 4).

Rosieblossom123 · 30/01/2016 18:00

Nixxxy I love cosatto, they're so different Grin oh and regarding leaky boobs, I'm a ftm and had nothing so far apart from very dry nipples and sorry tmi but sometimes crusty which sometimes gets itchy Blush

nixxxy · 30/01/2016 18:20

I think I should count my blessings on the boob front then - touch wood! Watch me leak like the trevi fountain in a few days though...

Rosie you're not alone on the crusty nips thing - I'm just moisturising every day now, twice a day some days - though my skin generally seems a lot drier? I'm putting it down to hormones and the weather and just combating it with drinking more water.

IndomitabIe Lush gear is the best. I know some people can't stand the smell but I love the stuff! I bought the 'each peach' massage bar, smells nice and fruity. They have something for everyone but I reckon if they did a pregnancy special line they'd make a mint!

missdee My mam's gotten me a bunch of stuff at the aldi event, we don't live close to one but I think I have nappies (size 1 wasn't on any offer but she's gotten some anyway I think...) wipes, non bio mamia washing liquid/conditioner, baby grows and calpol (which she tells me expires in 2018 lol)

Rosieblossom123 · 30/01/2016 18:25

Nixxxy same here my skin is so much drier Sad and for some reason my boobs are getting so dark? It's odd my nipples are massive and dark but around them my skin getting darker.

BeautifulLiar · 30/01/2016 18:26

Rosie we built ours too, it's gorgeous isn't it?! A lot less "pink" than I was imagining. I was a bit worried about looking chavvy but it's fine! Tomorrow is trying to fit in the car... I'm also certain it wouldn't have fit in the punto, so another reason it's probably a good thing DH wrote it off...

Paperblank · 30/01/2016 19:39

Missdee I bought some poach pods from Lakeland the other weekend, they're so easy! I've had runny yolks from about 20 weeks, I had a really craving for dippy egg and soldiers - yum.

Over the years I've bought loads of poach pods and I seem to lose them whenever I move house Hmm

Rosie my boobs are changing too...not darkening but almost like I've been sunbathing topless. Nips have gone V dark and are leaking a teeny bit.

Nixxy dry skin here too, my hands are horrible - I slather on the cream but they've aged ten years! I'm using Palmers cocoa butter oil and that seems to be helping - it's great on my legs as well.

Am considering snuggling up in bed, it's not too early is it?

Fab pram, Rosie.

Great day here! Lounge around with the DC in the morning, out for lunch and then an afternoon nap. Both children were shattered so we put them to bed at 6.30 Grin and so I am in bed crocheting!

Off to PIL's for lunch tomorrow, so no cooking required and my nieces and nephews will be there to entertain DS and DD - fantastic!

No colostrum here, but I have never had it before delivery. It certainly hasn't stopped me breastfeeding (DS gained weight before we were discharged from hospital, despite the crash section) so if anyone is concerned about no signs of it, don't be!

sherazade · 30/01/2016 20:27

Wouldn't worry about non leaky boobs - never had them in first pregnancy and still tons of milk
About the pads - was looking at the pants as well but not sure as they need to be quite fitted in order to work and if I end up with stitches etc might need something more lose and roomy than Incontinence briefs. I hated disposables they were handy but uncomfortable , second time round used cheap cotton granny pants and incontinence pads and it was a winning combination - v comfy and never worried about leaks so will go the same route again

dobbythedoggy · 30/01/2016 20:27

Had a long but productive day here. Bump now has a car seat for my parents' car and my mum is refusing to remove as it looks so pretty. Halfords were obsolutly amazing making sure we could both fit it and booked an appointment to show my dad one night after work. Said they'll check fit anytime needed for the lifetime of the car seat. Amazing compared to mothercare last time.

Morrisons baby event looks to be pretty good, even better using fil's staff discount. They have their own version of water wipes on offer 5 packs for £3. Dd was a pain to find a nappy that fit well so have gradually been stocking up on a range from all the different supermarkets in hopes we'll have something that fits well and can send someone to stock up on the relevent brand.

90% of baby stuff is now washed and packed into varrious bags until I work out some sort of storage solution for his clothes. But I'm feeling really funny about actually packing bags for the hospital. Everything is currently dumped in the travel cot in the livingroom along with the bags waiting to be put together. I don't want to go over due, for better chance with vbac, and have the mad logic if I don't actually pack the bags I'll need them sooner... But I'm sure dh, my mum or my dad would all be capable of packing the bits up for me if needed.

After a tip from a new mum I know who had constant monitoring during her labour I've picked up a cheep holter neck bikni top from primark to potentially wear in labour and if I get the chance to try the birthing pool.

I'll join in with the leaking boobs. Between that and dribbling all night long I'm looking forward to replacing our old mattress not too long after bump is born. Have talked dh into upgrading to a kingsize as his pretty much killed the slats on our otherwise servicable double dragging the frame around without taking the bits out from under it. I basically wake up with my top half drenched one way or another and have to rotate a serris of pillows at night!

Loving the new stylish prams. Sticking with our musty 4 rider as it seems indistructable, vital if dh is going to be pushing it! But having second throughts about splashing out on a compact stroller, thinking I can buy more pretty slings...

Rosieblossom123 · 30/01/2016 20:29

Beautiful that's what I was worried about lol looking Chavy, but it's really not that bad in real life is it even my PIL's said it looks so much better that the picture. We're trying it in the car tomorrow too, that's alright then everything happens for a reason now you've got a new car Wink

Paper that's exactly it, it's like I've been sunbathing topless haha

Thank you MrsBen Smile

ffauxlivia · 30/01/2016 20:37

Ooh looks like everyone has been making some exciting purchases! My only one has been for me, haha, thought these maternity leggings were a bargain for $10 to take me through rest of pregnancy and postpartum. So bored of wearing the same clothes!! 32+3 bump pic attached

No leakage here, relieved to here it doesn't mean anything as was getting worried. I did make the switch to non-underwired bras this week and they don't look the best but soooo much more comfy!!

Have very dry skin here too, but have loved it as since puberty my skin has been an oil pit, and at 35 I still struggle with hormonal acne. However this entire pregnancy I haven't had one spot and my skin has been a dream! Not looking forward to that ending

Mini ffaux is so active at the moment, but yet my pregnancy app the other day said now they are sleeping 90-95% of the time?? I assume they move during their sleep or can there be such a thing as too much movement?

missdee that sounds stressful, good luck on Friday, hope it's all okay

March 2016 Babies #9 - we're on the final countdown!!
Missdee2014 · 30/01/2016 21:13

I picked up the calpol too as it was so cheap, expiry is 2018 on it too!

Loving the cosatto pram pics. I need to call and see when mine will be ready to pick up. We've gone for the silver cross wayfarer in chilli red. Completely different colour from anything I'd normally go for - I'm more a black/navy or grey pram person but the red is gorgeous. Can't wait to get it. Smile

MyNameIsSuz · 30/01/2016 21:13

Loving all the prams ladies!

I got to have new baby snuggles with my friend's new baby boy today, so lovely! He was still all curly - you know when you pick them up and their legs stay all crouched up. Adorbs!

Spent most of the day at the in-laws' sorting through the baby stuff from the loft. I was brave and culled a lot - we've been told it's a girl but still part of me doesn't want to go all out with the pink as there's always a chance it'll be wrong. But a friend with a DD is due with a boy at the same time as me and we've said we'll do a swap, so I hoiked out some bits for her.

Disappointingly, there was not much newborn stuff there at all. Either there's a bag in the loft that DH didn't find, or I gave it all to SIL at the time (her boy was born 3 months after mine). So I need to go shopping again!

I did find my tuppence and crumble star wrap and SIL found the TENS machine we bought between us - yay! Just need to figure out which pads to buy for it, feeling better about labour now.

Haven't noticed any leaking or colostrum here, but my nipples have got... tough? Dry and spiky. Hopefully this is a good thing, last time they were half gone by the end of the first week!

maybebabybee · 30/01/2016 21:30

Had my first NCT class today. Was v useful! Got to try out a TENS machine which I'm glad I did as confirmed my suspicions that I would hate it - I really hate electric shocks!! Also saw the epidural needle which actually wasn't as big as I was expecting.

No leaky boobs here but not that fussed, my mum says hers didn't come in til after the birth.

Lovely to see pram pics :)

Mondinomum2 · 30/01/2016 23:00

Just marking thread and saying hi. Hadn't found the new thread for ages! I'm 32 weeks now and have another scan Monday :-) nice reading all your posts.

IndomitabIe · 31/01/2016 09:47

Morning all.
Lazy one here so far. Except octo baby, who is battering the crap out of me. Pinging off my ribs at one end and burrowing into my cervix at the other. I swear he's going to pop my waters at this rate. (DS & DH aren't interested, I had to share my woe with someone!)

I've slept like it's going out of fashion this weekend (though I thought of scared when I got up for what felt like my 15th wee). Not sure how I'm going to cope with workload if this is the new normal.

celeste83 · 31/01/2016 09:54

Anyonne else nesting a bit at the moment?

MyNameIsSuz · 31/01/2016 09:57

Lazy one for me too, so far, just could not get out of bed! Dh usually gets up on a Sunday anyway to take the boy to rugby tots, but I usually get up first and get drinks etc then back into bed when they leave.

Not feeling like superman yet after a full day of iron tablets, expect they're why I feel so wrong though. Breakfast came back up within minutes Sad

IndomitabIe · 31/01/2016 10:04

Oh no, Suz. That's no fun. Stay in bed.

RhubarbAndMustard · 31/01/2016 10:08

Indom lots of weeing for me too. Only fell asleep at midnight (my fault as have started watching The Blacklist- so good!) but had to get up 4 times before DS waking at 7:30. He has a gritty cough and croaky voice this weekend.

Poor you Suz, that sounds unpleasant.

I've been leaking colostrum for ages now. V glamorous.

Loving all the pram pics. Making me very jealous but I've cleaned up the one we had for DS and it's perfectly fine.

MyNameIsSuz · 31/01/2016 10:15

It was worse - when I leapt up to run to the toilet I got a cramp in both legs! Joining you in the glamorous club indomitable! Lots of tidying and cleaning to be done today, should get a nap later though!

MyNameIsSuz · 31/01/2016 10:16

Oops, I mean rhubarb - team glamour
