It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

You lot will be proud. Not only did I have prawns, I also had some lobster. How amazing does this look!

Sounds like I need to go to Aldi and get me some stewing steak and shallots! The only red wine I have is very naice stuff so will also get a more reasonable bottle to cook with.

I have finished making my fitted sheets for crib. I'm sure it would have been easier to buy some, but then the too small sheets would have been wasted and all it cost me was £3.50 for elastic and some time. Done!

Now having a lie down (and getting a kicking) and then will go and dig electric pump from garage to blow up my gym ball. And will then sit on it as I sort through more of my baby shower swag.

fruitlovingmonkey · 20/01/2016 14:58

Ooh Jelly that looks incredible! Envy Well done for eating seafood!
Does anyone know Gouda in RL? Getting a bit worried about her now, hoping all is well and she just forgot to pack her phone charger in her hospital bag or something.
On the subject of ginger babies, I luffs them. We had a ginger 4 year old at my old school and he was angelic looking! He could be quite cheeky sometimes but he often got away with it because he was too damn cute not in my class, I'm not that soft

pretzelpieces · 20/01/2016 15:39

Thank you sky

jelly Well done for eating seafood!

We're likely to have a gingery brown haired baby as we are both vaguely ginger. Hope she gets DP's mega freckles as well. And my green eyes! Basically I want a leprechaun baby.

Midwife update totally not cut and pasted from fb group :
Well the midwife didn't bring up a sweep so I didn't mention it! And it was the weird one that always calls me darlin so I wasn't inclined to bring it up. AND she reckons 2/5ths engaged which is a step backwards! All in all v frustrating. And then she hugged me which was fuckin awkward.

Well done honey very crafty and frugal of you.

jelly I don't much care for prawns but that lunch looks amazing!

Yy to BB in the freezer stash tea - just what I was saying to DH as he was cooking last night Grin

Glad you liked the malt loaf and cheese sky. I'm gonna have some at DS tea time in a bit YUM

Honey don't forget the pancetta (or smoked lardons, whichever you can get!), and loads and loads and loads of shrooms cut quite chunky. Oh, and I put some rehydrated porcini mushroom in (along with the soaking liquor) for extra mushroomyness.

Jelly that looks lovely

SecondCupOfTea · 20/01/2016 15:59

The rational side of me has decided that the high likelihood is that Gouda has had minicheese and is staying in for a couple of days, but there is no mobile internet reception in that part of the hospital.

honeysucklejasmine · 20/01/2016 16:06

Jelly that looks amazing! Well done you! Don't tell dh

5hell · 20/01/2016 16:29

right, can anyone clue me up on blankets as I'm v confused...
there seem to be so many types:
cellular
receiving
fleece
pram
knitted
shawl
swaddle
etc etc!!

mothercare list says 2-3 (including cellular) and a shawl (optional)

so what have you all got in your stash and can any 2nd time mums offer some wisdom on which type, what for & how many? Confused

help!

jellypi3 · 20/01/2016 16:32

I want to get some cellular blankets before baby comes, as I think they are better for new born snuggles (more breathable or some shit). Other than that I've not bought any (but still have about 20 people have bought/knitted me)

YogaPants · 20/01/2016 16:59

I'm back after catching some winter sun and falling of the thread for a bit! 21 weeks and bump has definitely become a bump.

Jelly i'm envious of your crispy noodles (and I am allergic to shellfish so wouldn't even be able to order it)

Feathered I asked the midwife about weight at my 16 week appointment as I was around my starting weight at that point (bmi sub 20). She said that they didn't encourage weight gain and she would be pleased with me to show up as I am but with a bump for the next appointment. (Since going on holiday however I have put on a kg a week so not that concerned anymore).

ThursdayLastWeek · 20/01/2016 17:01

I have (and used)

2 X swaddle. I plan to get a gro-swaddle to add to this collection.

3/4 cellular ones. Handy for Moses basket, pram but get puked or piddled on so it helps to have couple spare for washing.

Then after about 4mo we used sleeping bags I think. I like to have three of those in each size.

I have no fucking clue what a receiving blanket is Confused

I actually have about 8 million blankets that were gifts etc but this was actually what I used!

Think about the season too. Newborns need help to regulate their temps, so I guess they'll need a bit of wrapping up no matter the temp. DS was about 3/4mo during the summer and needed onky a nappy and a muslin over him in his cot some nights. He suffers in the heat though, which is individual to him obv. your babies will be different!

Where have you been yoga?

honeysucklejasmine · 20/01/2016 17:30

I have a couple of blankets I have made, and friend is going to bring some cellular blankets to hospital for me. I also got a 0-6 sleeping bag and will prob use that. I do gave a swaddle but my hospital really discourage them (something to do with pelvic development).

Popped to tesco for dinner bits. Got the lamaze sock and wrist rattles for friend. and robot and toucan for myself BUT toucan still has security tag on it (will get dh to smash it off with a hammer) and the robots mirror front (with the heart and lamaze logo) is sewn on upside down! I don't care enough to do anything about it but it did amuse me.

Also got a temperature Nazi Gro egg, as they are only £13 in their baby event. It's currently 16.1°C in my living room. Popped the heating on! I am interested to see what temperature it is in my bedroom in the morning. Feels cold to me!

ThursdayLastWeek · 20/01/2016 18:26

I'm getting a gro clock in my next Amazon order.
DS needs some help in the morning recently.

jellypi3 · 20/01/2016 19:11

My gro egg turned blue for the first time this week! I might get one for downstairs as well as up!
