It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

pretz when DS had a similar thing, though admittedly a bit older, I would feed from one side, then when he fell asleep give him a vigorous nappy change to wake him up before putting him back.

Thanks for all the good elcs vibes. I'm mostly pretty chilled about it, but when in labour with DS the anaesthetist took a really long time to do a really bad job. I had what is known as an epidural headache for a week after, and the way to fix it is more anaesthetists fiddling in your back, and although this one did and excellent job speedily, I still have the horrors rather.

You'll all be delighted to know I went to tesco and bought a fuck tonne of mini eggs Grin

Thanks sky, honey & tea. Tens lights are now top of tomorrow's shopping list and apps are downloading. I do have a tendency to ignore reminders but will do my best!

FeatheredTail · 04/02/2016 13:17

Dare I type this.........? Pretz the 'Book That Shall Not Be Named' suggests taking off the baby's sleepsuit and using the dimmer to ensure they're fully awake whilst BFing. Not having a had any BF experience, I wouldn't know - but sounds like sensible advice to me.

Lovely to hear from La and Purple

I do hope you're going to go to the London meet up Sky - I would massively miss you! I don't know who else is going? I've turned off FB notifications although haven't left the group. I'm likely going to be a bit late because some cretin has put a late morning meeting into my diary.

FeatheredTail · 04/02/2016 13:25

Just went out to get a salad for lunch.

Got the salad.

Detoured on the way back to the office to pick up mini eggs.

It's almost as if I WANT a fourth chin.

5hell · 04/02/2016 13:29

keep i second the tena app (free, not without the odd glitch, but does the job) ...i typically manage 2 sets a day, which has got to be better than nothing, and haven't peed myself yet Grin

i foresee us being the cause of a worldwide mini-egg shortage! ...this popped up on my pinterest today: mini-egg-cake

Mermaid36 · 04/02/2016 13:29

Have just scoffed a very lovely goats cheese salad....can I eat goats cheese??? I have no idea... (it was very nice and drenched in pesto dressing)

honeysucklejasmine · 04/02/2016 13:31

Mermaid supposedly if it is cooked or pasteurised. But fuck it!

KeepTheHope · 04/02/2016 13:36

5hell that's a good enough recommendation for me! First set done!

Mermaid the cheese thing completely confuses me, luckily we're not big cheese eaters as DH has a fit if any info it's way into a 5 metre radius of him, hates it. I definitely think there's much worse things you could do that eat a tasty salad though!

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/02/2016 13:46

All hard cheese good.

All soft cheese bad.

Pasteurisation sadly not relevant as in theory the acid levels in soft cheese aren't sufficient to kill off harmful bacteria and prevent them from reappearing despite being made from safe milk.

That being said, I eat basically whatever I want in moderation because I believe food standards in this country to be so high that I can't get too worked up about it.

Mermaid36 · 04/02/2016 13:55

Oh well....it was a bloody nice salad....never mind...

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/02/2016 13:58

I think the danger is food poisoning Mermaid, so I'm sure you'll be fine. I've never had food poisoning from cheese in my life!

I diversified my post-lunch chocolate today, Chocolate Orange bar. Still pretty good but not quite the same! Still goes down well with a big mug of tea though.

Second NCT class last night, went alright - few squirmy faces from the partners at some points...

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/02/2016 14:09

Fuuuuuuuck, today so far I have had

  • three slices of bread and butter
  • a cereal bar
  • a bacon bite from the bakery in town
  • a packet of crisps
  • a handful of seedy oaty bites
  • 8 million mini eggs

I'm gonna be mahoosive

Mermaid36 · 04/02/2016 14:17

I've eaten a lion bar and a curly wurly (as well as breakfast and lunch)....The babies have a sweet tooth as if

FeatheredTail · 04/02/2016 14:24

I have actual haunches and am getting huge. Today has been a relatively 'good' day and I've still had toast, butter and marmite, a massive salad, 15kg of mini eggs and some bombay mix (that I poured straight into my mouth from the bag). And I'm out to dinner tonight.

I haven't exercised since getting pregnant and feel as though I've lost ALL my fitness (after previously doing loads of half marathons and marathon).

I'm gross.

Sorry for the MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 04/02/2016 14:29

All of you don't be so hard on yourselves! I am pretty sure I have gained "too much" but I know it will also come off. Baby needs to be fed and mummy needs to stay sane.

In other news, DD has ballet today so that means one thing... McDonalds run after school. I wonder if it is Creme Egg McFlurry season yet?!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/02/2016 14:37

Yeah, chill out ladies. It'll come off again.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 04/02/2016 14:53

honey isn't omazeprile wonderful?! pretz I am scared to ask but what's the rebound effect once you come off it? I have been meaning to ask you since you mentioned it.

FeatheredTail · 04/02/2016 14:54

I wonder if it is Creme Egg McFlurry season yet?!

Now I'm wondering too.

SecondCupOfTea · 04/02/2016 15:06

Feathered you'll spot me at the London meet, as unless Honey goes, I'll be the most pregnantist (not sure if Carrot is going as she is more pregnanter than me).

Today I have eaten:

  • A very large bowl of cinnamon and sultana porridge
  • A small glass of fruit juice
  • A strawberry Frijj shake
  • A ham and cheddar sandwich
  • A bag of wotsits
  • A too small bag of pork scratchings
  • Half my body weight of Mini Eggs to the point that I may have cured my Mini Egg craving
  • Many, many cups of decaf tea

I've looked at the fruit in my lunchbox...but deferred to more chocolate instead. If I develop any more chins it could prevent an emergency c-section.

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/02/2016 15:16

Feathered don't worry one little bit about the exercising. There are many many folk in the world who don't ever do anything and they are all surviving. Pregnancy feels like forever, but actually it isn't, not in the grand scheme of a whole life Smile

It is much easier for me to give this advice than receive it because I miss running like crazy and cannot WAIT to get back out there.

And I will purge the crap I've eaten with some veggie fajitas tonight and that will ease my guilt.

In other news, last week I was so tired that I put my phone through the washing machine. It didn't survive and I wasn't insured. But my new (to me) iPhone just arrived and I'm DS free to set it up huzzah!

FeatheredTail · 04/02/2016 15:38

Gosh I could MURDER some scratchings Tea! Scratchings were good to me during the first tri: salty, crunchy, nutritious (compared to my 99% white bread and butter diet) and curiously didn't make me feel sick. MMmmmm.

Score on the iPhone Thurs! Jealous! My iphone just gave up one day a while ago. I'm now using SIL's old iphone that looks as though it's been attacked by a T-Rex.

Really do miss the running. I think if I had kept it up during the first tri (impossible seeing as I didn't have the energy to shower some days) I'd be good to carry on now. Seems like too much of a leap now. I ran up the tube escalator and made a dash for my train the other day and it took about 48 hours to get my breath back.

fruitlovingmonkey · 04/02/2016 15:40

To add to the cheesy chat: soft cheeses are fine if cooked. So grilled goats' cheese, Gorgonzola on a pizza, baked Brie etc all get the thumbs up from the nhs. I ate a whole fried Camembert in France, it was amazing.
Mermaid I don't think any aspect of having twins is a cop out!
Yay for new phone Thurs, hope the set up is easy. I'm due an upgrade but I'm putting it off because I'm lazy about setting everything up again!

jellypi3 · 04/02/2016 15:42

pret we've got the same issue with R, she feeds for such a short time then sleeps. Trying to keep her awake is fun, she loves her sleep this one!

I really want mini eggs...

YogaPants · 04/02/2016 15:45

reaches for chocolate in desk drawer

You bad influences, you! Here I was about to ask if any one had healthy snack ideas as I am eating anything and everything these days and instead I read through two pages of reverance to mini eggs!

munches on chocolate from desk stash

I'm also interested to know if anyone else from the thread other than Tea is planning on going to the meet as technically I could come in early and take an extended lunch to join you too.
