It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

I can't really take the Trump thing too seriously, but thats my own incredulity. I just cannot fathom it - I hope I'm not in for a rude awakening!

I'm sorry for your bad dreams pee, I've found mine have eased off a bit though so gx it's the same for you

Had my 34week MW appt. My regular MW was on holiday so I got one I like much better Grin and a nice student too. Apparently this baby is 'easy to feel',it did a nice lot of wriggling for the student too, HB fine all good.

I got a fuck off great bottle of gaviscon on prescription and a bundle of shite from 'Emma's Diary'? That shall probably mostly be recycled. Is that the new Bounty bollox?

Home is Ireland actually! Aer Lingus won't take you on a UK to Ireland flight after 36 weeks and I'll be 36+5 on election day. I'm still registered in my parents' home constituency, but we don't have postal voting at all.

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 13:42

Oh no - no postal voting? That seems a bit short sighted Tri what a nuisance.

OP posts:
ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 13:43

Oh and I had to do an MRSA swab - up my nose, and another from the groin. Oh the glamour!

FeatheredTail · 03/02/2016 14:10

Oops - getting due dates and election dates terribly muddled! That's really irritating Tri.

Just to apologise in advance for my facebook to my new internet fwends. It's 90% dog/cat/politico-lite shares and 9% me and my sister posting stuff to each other. And 1% pictures.

Was much more fun back in the party days....!

5hell · 03/02/2016 14:14

right, big catch-up post warning ;)

molly Star what adorable siblings! sounds like he's going to be a superb big bro! (i always find it weird when people mention sertraline as we use it in the lab as a control compound for certain assays, so i forget it's actually already a medicine!)

honey BIL/SIL sound quite a lot like several of my SILs and their OHs ...none went to uni/left home until absolutely necessary and sometimes it really shows. Some are not great with money (and DH bails them out), some live like students (remember towel-gate!?), some seem to like to make their life as complicated as possible! I've been advised by youngest to formula feed as then i can really fill chubs up and it should sleep through better...um i think that's MY choice dont you?! Anyway, sympathies, deep breaths etc Flowers

sorry to hear your appointment didn't quite go as planned tri ...how do you feel about labour ward v MLU?

country you cant just sneak in and drop hints about food!...how are you doing? (and had you eaten something particularly delish?!)

thanks for your early days top tips pretz and hooray for milk Grin ...(think i would feel too weird pinching a squirty bottle from work for foof rinsing, but may have to get over it, as i can see it'd be v useful!)

HH!!?? tri/thurs these boobs are toruble! mine are having a bit of a growth spurt again (probably mostly lard) and have some boob stretch marks starting - attractive! whilst we're on the topic, if my bra straps keep falling down does that mean my bra is too big (unlikely) / too small / i should just shorten the straps?!?!?!

lemon cake sounds lush keep ...i think as long as your not feeling faint/poorly then i wouldn't worry about lack of weight gain, it'll just give you more leeway for later months, and you'll soon need those trousers and not look back!

lastly, i've also got anterior placenta pee and wasn't convinced of my movements until maybe 24w, but have plenty now. in retrospect some of the weak sensations i felt before that probably were chubs, but i didn't want to get overexcited/ahead of myself at the time.

NCT tonight and MW tomorrow :)

SecondCupOfTea · 03/02/2016 14:36

Tri what about the other carriers? I used to commute weekly between Heathrow and Dublin and I've seen some very large pregnant women on British Midland (this was quite a few years ago, mind).

NFMA (Appointment) - Found out today that I'll be induced at 40 weeks if I don't labour naturally before then. It's cos I is an old bird. I was somewhat surprised as it hadn't been mentioned before, but I go back in 4 weeks to see the doctor and pick a date (I presume they try to avoid the weekend, so it might even be before 40 weeks)

SecondCupOfTea · 03/02/2016 14:55

Oh Thursday, I do hope it's not the gag-inducing Gaviscon Advance. I told the doctor today that I can't swallow that stuff as it's just a congealed awfulness...so I've been prescribed Ranitidine instead. I just have to wait til Friday for my GP to write the actual prescription...good job I'm not suffering from horrendous heartburn in the meantime...oh, wait...

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 15:02

I think it probably is Tea but I dont think I find it quite as unbearable as you do! I made sure I got the peppermint stuff as the aniseed would be horrendous.

I haven't ever heard if anyone being induced because of their age before - is it due to potential complications? How do you feel about it?

lots of appts today Smile Wednesday must be clinic day.

Just over four weeks to go for me eeeeeeeeeeee

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 15:10

Oh I also realised my EDD in the stats is wrong. I'm actually exactly as pregnant as you Tea Smile

If someone can explain how to do it so it changes I'll change it!

OP posts:
SecondCupOfTea · 03/02/2016 15:15

The flavour I can cope with, the texture I cannot. Fortunately I still have some regular Gaviscon left.

They recommend induction at 40 weeks if the mother is over 40 years old, and induction at 39 weeks if over 44yo (I've scraped in by 6 months to avoid that one). Basically, the risk of stillbirth goes up for older mothers (especially first time mothers) once you get into the 40th week and beyond. It's down mainly to placental deterioration.

I was a little startled because I hadn't considered being induced at term, but I'm not going to go against their advice.

As an aside...I bought another family size bag of Mini Eggs today, which of course is not suggesting for a moment that I finished the first bag, oh no...

SecondCupOfTea · 03/02/2016 15:17

Thursday is your EDD meant to be 12/03/16? I can change it for you as I'm on a PC atm, can never update those sheets from my phone.

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 15:22

Ah ok, that's interesting. No need to go against advice, and I'm sort of for induction at term instead of going over because the baby is still it's normal term baby size!

Yes the 12th! So I'm 34+4 today too thanks!

TriJo · 03/02/2016 15:34

Tea It's 34 weeks on Ryanair, 36 weeks on BA and Cityjet/Air France. Time to just suck it up on this one and raise a giant middle finger to Fine Gael with their cynical scheduling! wasn't going to vote for the fuckers anyway

Braxton-Hicks seem to have stepped up today from the previous 3-5 a day to around 1-2 an hour and our little dude is even more active than usual, I don't think my body is too happy with me going to the Arsenal match last night. We ended up powerwalking the last stretch to make kickoff and then had 7 flights of stairs up to upper tier seats. At least the bag of Mini Eggs we split with a hot chocolate at half time helped...

SecondCupOfTea · 03/02/2016 15:47

Tri Split? Are you saying you shared a bag of Mini Eggs? That's a concept that has never crossed my mind before. Don't tell my DP Wink

KeepTheHope · 03/02/2016 15:56

Thanks all for the reassurance. Feeling ok in myself, just still got the lingering headache which is frustrating.

In good news, I went out in maternity jeans for the first time today. Oh. My. God. So. Comfy.

Lots of appointments today! Glad they all seem to be going well Smile

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 16:06

No turning back now Keep. I've promised to pass mine on eventually...I'm not sure that's gonna happen now

KeepTheHope · 03/02/2016 16:08

Thurs I seriously might never wear anything else. Amazing.

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/02/2016 17:10

Thanks for updating the stats Tea

I can't believe how few of us there are - especially as there are 3(?) who don't post on the thread!

Keep how was lunch? Well jel!

37 weeks today. Had midwife appointment. Everything fine. I'm still boringly average in all things. Apparently baby is very low so that's a step in right direction. Also made midwife howl with laughter when she asked had I written a birth plan. "What's the point? Baby won't read it!" Replied I. It's not a common response apparently. Wink

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 03/02/2016 17:20

Tea and Tri sorry hear that you've had news you aren't thrilled with re births. It would be nice if we could pick yhe outcomes but none of us REALLY know what is going to happen intil we are in the moment anyhow. Tis crap to feel like a choice is being made for you though ChocolateFlowersCake

honey you feeling better about BIL/SIL today?

Saw midwife. Still no GTT result but on antibiotics for suspected kidney infection. That explains why I have been feeling so weepy and crap. Had a brief chat about birth plan which the gist of is will try to deliver naturally so have minimal recovery time but am not afraid of or adverse to interventions. Going to download hypnobirthing for the kindle to try to wrap my head around staying positive during birth.

Still feeling crap about the FB group debacle. It is such a bummer.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 03/02/2016 17:21

Yay for being average honey and happy full term day! StarFlowers

CarrotPuff · 03/02/2016 17:24

Not sure which part of Ireland you're from tri, but could you take a ferry? If it's not too much of a faff that is.

Lots of bladder and god knows what else head butting today. Very uncomfortable Confused Oh and I'm absolutely roasting at work, while everyone else is freezing...

5hell · 03/02/2016 17:57

Mmmmm brinner! Grin

Also, first cheer me up purchase arrived (think it was a jser who recommended this company)...it's so small and cute :)
