It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

So it turns out blue light ambulances (not for me, I was transferring a patient) and morning sickness are really not a good combination.

honeysucklejasmine · 25/01/2016 18:24

Fruit thanks! I washed them 3 times.

Sock oh dear! Hope it wasn't too awful. Sad Envy Envy

Carrot when do they expect baby to become engaged? I don't think mine is even low, let alone engaged!

pretzelpieces · 25/01/2016 18:24

Oh sock Flowers

carrot glad baby carrot has perked up.

DP has returned with the groceries and he got pate with extra garlic and got soft blue cheese but no brie as he thought that'd be too much cheese to get through at once. I am UNIMPRESSED. I miss when I did the shopping but I can't do everything godamnit

honeysucklejasmine · 25/01/2016 18:43

Lol Pretzel, send him out again.

lildottie · 25/01/2016 18:52

Sorry about scan news yoga but as others have said good they are being cautious.

Trying to stay positive for my scan tomorrow. gulp

pretz it doesn't matter how many of them sneeze them out, it won't impact on your journey so try and just keep positive and confident.

honeysucklejasmine · 25/01/2016 18:58

Oooh, Lil! You get to see MiniLil again! But... Surely you aren't 20 weeks already?!

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/01/2016 19:13

Do you mind explaining what that means yoga?
Did you find out the sex too? I hope that having a bit if extra care will help keep your mind at ease.

Poor sock, sounds like you need to yourself risk assessed forthwith!

I'm having a tired and emotional evening. DS pushing my buttons and being a general horror. Feeling like a terrible mother.

No way are you 20 weeks lil??? Scary!

yoga hugs to you, good thing they picked it up, hopefully it's not too serious

YogaPants · 25/01/2016 19:45

Thanks for the support viroids. What the scan showed was that the rhythm of the baby's heart is irregular. It would beat fine for five beats or so and then appear to miss a beat or beat early. They have booked in another scan in three weeks time to see if it has resolved or if it hasn't will refer me on to another hospital for further tests. The actual development of the heart appeared normal however. The consultant actually told me to google it which has brought up only positive stories, but has distracted me somewhat from work today.

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow lil. 20 weeks does go by fast.

I'm looking forward to hearing of pretz postpartum food consumption once the forbidden foods are no longer restricted. Does GD food ban end immediately when the baby is born or do you have to wait for pregnancy hormones to tapper off before indulging?

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/01/2016 20:04

I know it's not the same at all yoga but DS had that kind of heartbeat at one of my MW appts picked up by the Doppler. Two days later they listened again, and it was totally fine - just one of those things Confused.
I hope that's the same for you.

pretzelpieces · 25/01/2016 20:11

yoga like Thursday, I really hope it is the same for you and the ectopic heartbeat clears itself up Flowers the gd should in theory clear up within hours of the placenta being delivered. They generally check you at the 6 week check but I am considering waiting for a different kind of test at 13 weeks, especially if I'm breastfeeding, as it will be more reliable.

pretzelpieces · 25/01/2016 20:37

yoga so basically yes I will be eating cake on the postnatal ward.

Forgot to say how lovely it is to have just and ain over here cheering me and jelly and everyone on. Hope you're both on this fred more long term soon Cake

Mermaid36 · 25/01/2016 21:05

Evening viriods! Loved the fanjo cupcake!

The beauty salon near me does a pre-labour package - leg and bikini wax (brazilian or hollywood), and a back massage....apparently it's very popular Grin

We've had confirmation of our specialist multiple birth antenatal class...I'll only be 20 weeks when we go, but with multiples, they tell you to have your hospital bag packed at 28 weeks, so at least I'll be prepared!

5hell · 25/01/2016 21:10

Enjoy tomorrow lil gx for good views of a well behaved little-lil...are u finding out the gender sex?

Must be v worrying yoga but hopefully it's just a blip and your little one will sort itself out Flowers

Soooo...I just had my first preggo meltdown, a big teary mess I was! Turns out dh was right (damn him) and I don't think we can get renovations done before baby arrives, cue much crying Sad dh coped admirably and we have a plan to move fwd and finish nursery anyway but rest probably not until june! big sigh

CarrotPuff · 25/01/2016 21:11

Oh god pretz I would kill for some Brie! I hope you've sent him back!

Honey this engagement thing is very random. Some babies don't engage until just before labour, others do that weeks ahead. Usually first babies engage early, and subsequent just before labour, but not necessarily.

My DS never really engaged, I never had a ball between my legs feeling, he was always quite high up with his feet permanently wedged into my ribs. he was still only about 3/5 engaged midway through labour, and I remember pushing for a while before they said they could see the head. This one is lying much lower, no feet in ribs bar occasional kick, and lots of pressure on my bladder, it definitely wasn't so bad with DS. So it's kind of the other way around for me...

lildottie · 25/01/2016 21:13

Yep 20weeks tomorrow. Shit that's the half way mark. And for me its definitely half way as I can't go past due date!!!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/01/2016 21:32

yoga sorry to hear about your scan but pleased to hear they are looking after you and that the google didn't scare you too much. Try to stay positive. We are all here for you.

lil can't believe you're already halfway! So happy for you! GX tomorrow goes smoothly and you're not too nervous.

sock you poor love!

honey can't imagine how crap it is being vommy all the time like that. I think we are a bit alike in the sense that we just feel grateful to be pregnant... having a suppressed immune system is great if you have autoimmune disease but it is a bit of a double edged sword if you catch a bug. Going strong on day 8 of a nasty cold now and getting a bit bored already Envy

pretz you deserve all the cake in the hospital! You've really done so well to cope with the GD. Star

Ain626 · 25/01/2016 22:04

Thanks pretz I do keep checking in to cheer and wave my pom poms every so often!

I didn't bring a hairy cupcake though... damn it. That's what I forgot!!!

pretzelpieces · 25/01/2016 22:08

5hell Flowers bless you, we all need a good cry now and then, and it sounds like disappointing news.

carrot that's useful info about the engaging thing. I didn't have the heart to send DP back to the shop but I'm still feel sulky about the brie and him getting fucking pate with garlic for no apparent rhyme or reason

sky you total sweetheart, I don't feel like I've dealt with it well at all but it's nice of you to say so Grin

pretzelpieces · 25/01/2016 22:09

Haha ain cross post.

jelly is quiet this evening eh. Eh eh eh?!

honeysucklejasmine · 25/01/2016 22:20

Sky yes! I am loving the suppressed immune system thing! The most I have had recently is slightly stiff fingers but I think that's to do with excess MNing... I hope it stays low so I can breastfeed. (Drugs not compatible unfortunately) I hope your cold gets better, that's bloody miserable! Sad

Pretzel is garlic a bad thing? I loooooove garlic. I always at least double the amount called for in a recipe. And roasted garlic... Heaven!

Oh, I really want an antipasto board now with all the meats and breads and pickles and cheese. (Although actually I am happy to eat all of those things anyway. Must go shopping.)

lildottie · 25/01/2016 22:41

honey when my SIL had her first she stayed off her drugs to BF for first few weeks, by the time she had her second her drugs were deemed safe in pg. Worth researching what the state of play is with them in other countries as I think hers was OK in US at time but not here. I guess youve asked about alternatives

SockQueen · 25/01/2016 22:53

Thanks for the sympathy folks. It wasn't pleasant but just one of those things you've got to get on with, I guess. I agree with Thursday though that I need to get risk assessed ASAP so if everything is ok with the scan tomorrow (7+2, hopefully) then I'll tell them at work. I had to tell one of the hot A&E doctors earlier in the day to explain why I couldn't stay at the head end of a patient while x-rays were done, and he was quite adorably sweet about it, so I'm hoping the bosses will be ok!

jellypi3 · 26/01/2016 01:26

I'm still here! Contractions started up again at 11, I've had a hot bath, bounced on my ball and walked around. They are still coming, every 3 mins or so. Not sure how long to ride it out for.

If this is due to go on for a few days I'm not going to be happy....
