I hadn't thought of Amazon for maternity clothes. I shall look. I desperately need leggings. Once I've told people, I can wear some of my usual clothes but for now I need to hide my bump!

I have no idea what car seat/ pram to get. My friend has an Uppababy which is fab. I don't know how important ISOFIX is. I need to do some reading.

gnat99 · 12/01/2016 17:58

MissClarke, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news Sad. Good getting through D&C and with the recovery. Take care.

Hi everybody! Haven't been on in a while! Great to catch up with the thread. I've got my first scan tomorrow ( at nearly 14 weeks!)! Am a bit scared, had no cramping or bleeding and had private scan at eight weeks and heard the HB. Was everyone else nervous?

Thistledew · 12/01/2016 18:07

Oh God. I forgot about waiting for blood test results before telling people. Sad

HopesAndDreams15 · 12/01/2016 18:08

Sorry to hear your news MissClarke, take care of yourself Thanks

Thistledew · 12/01/2016 18:08

The sonographer did say everything looked fine, so I hope that remains the case.

Such a rookie mistake.

Pregasaurusrex · 12/01/2016 18:22

Have just caught up properly- so sorry to hear about people's losses
Sad

mascaraisamust · 12/01/2016 18:27

Sorry Missclarke, take care of yourself x

I've been telling people Thistle, they said everything looked fine so no point worrying over what ifs. About time we enjoyed it!

Pregasaurus, so nervous! You'll be able to see loads Grin

CultureSucksDownWords · 12/01/2016 18:29

MissClarke, thinking of you Thanks

Pregasaurusrex, I know exactly what you mean about being scared before the scan. I've had 2 scans now and I still think that at the 20 week scan the sonographer might have bad news. Last time I didn't really relax until after 24 weeks where I could feel the baby kicking, and the baby was considered viable in case of a premature delivery.

Pinseyboo38 · 12/01/2016 18:35

Day 1 nearly done yay Grin
I've had 4 scans now and still get nervous everytime.
I had a little wander down the baby aisle today in tescos. First time I've allowed myself too lol
Hope everyone is well and great news for everyone that had scans today. Any pics ladies?? Xx

Magickal · 12/01/2016 19:38

Thistle, I'm sure it's fine. I'm just paranoid because I miscarried and we have 5(!) kids to break this to. I want to know what we're telling them.

Here is my photo from today. It waved at us. I'm feeling excited now and have been looking on the Internet for baby stuff. I can't remember what we really need and don't need at all

Cheery1 · 12/01/2016 20:06

pregasaurus my goodness me, yes so nervous pre scan!
culture - glad it's not just being a worry wort.

Cheery1 · 12/01/2016 20:08

magical lovely pic! So clear Smile

Cookiesandcoffee · 12/01/2016 21:24

Lovely scan magickal how exciting. Is this number 6??! Did I read this correctly?! Amazing!
pinsey congratulations on your first day of waiting Smile
thistle I wouldn't worry, try and forget the what ifs. Ours took so ridiculously long we had told the world by the time the results were back Blush
Maternity clothes-wise - suddenly popped a bump shape this week so raided H&M for some nice maternity tops to wear over my maternity jeans. So comfy and happy, worth every penny. The basic long sleeve jersey tops are £7.99 and really like mine.

Pinseyboo38 · 12/01/2016 21:30

Have given in an ordered a maternity coat, only £25 in the sale at jojomamabebe. Have a definite bump type round belly thing going on now lol
Any recommendations on the best maternity jeans, have a feeling my regular ones aren't going to last much longer xx

Magickal · 12/01/2016 22:11

Cookies, this is my second but DP has 4 Shockand I have one. So 6 between us. We just got a car that accommodates the seven of us since we weren't planning another. It seems the universe had other plans. I don't even know if you can get an 8 seater car.

I have a cape so am hoping that will suffice as my coat throughout the winter.

Lulabells · 13/01/2016 07:18

Hi ladies. I hope you are all well! Finally got around to having my flu Jab yesterday! Time seems to be disappearing!

I see a lot of you are getting the maternity clothes sorted! I ordered some from Newlook in the sale ready for the summer! I'm going to do a trip to Peacocks soon as last time I found they were the best for everything and they were much cheaper than Mothercare!

Good luck to everyone having scans or waiting for test results. We still have a week to wait for our first scan. I'm trying not to wish the time away but I can't wait to be a mum again! Grin

minieggaddict · 13/01/2016 07:54

So sorry MissClarke, take care of yourself x

So I'm after some advice from the second /third/forth-timers! I've been feeling things but don't know if it's movements. Feel more like tiny prods and twitches than flutters. This morning I've had what felt like baby turning round and my bump bulged a little but wondering now if its Braxton hicks? It bulged to one side rather than my whole bump. So desperate to feel baby but now I can't tell what I'm feeling!

Cookiesandcoffee · 13/01/2016 08:10

What a bargain pinsey! I haven't looked in JoJo yet. I'm lucky I have a wrap round coat with a belt tie so plenty of room!
Wow magickal lots of darlings!! You literally need a mini bus?! Christmas time must be so much fun!
mini could be! How many weeks are you? I felt definite flutters the other day. When my stomach has moved like that so far it's been digestive/wind BlushI don't know if baby is big/strong enough yet to make your tummy move?! But I was shocked when mine did it!
Oh and pinsey My maternity jeans from H&M are good if you like really skinny ones almost like treggings. Really soft and over the bump too. I found mine a bit big so I haven't warn them much yet. Loved my Topshop ones last time and now they do over-the-bump ones too. I worked in fashion for years so I'm still a bit of a Topshop addict.
Maybe ASOS might have some?

Cheery1 · 13/01/2016 08:43

pinsey I second cookies on Topshop jeans - they come in lots of different cuts too.

mini wow that's amazing you felt movement! I've got an anterior placed placenta so I think that means I'm less likely to feel movement early on - I'm hoping I do though!

minieggaddict · 13/01/2016 08:44

Cookies I'm 16+2. It felt more like my uterus than tummy related. I had it with dd but when I was about 8months hence not really sure if baby can do this yet or if its Braxton hicks Confused

Cheery1 · 13/01/2016 08:45

P.s. pinsey I bought some v cheap insert panel jeans from Gap to see me through for a bit. Not ready for full over bump jeans but the ones I have are a nice transitional piece (as vogue might say)

Cheery1 · 13/01/2016 08:47

Also cookies is spot on, Asos have some great stuff, not mega pricey either.

Cheery1 · 13/01/2016 08:48

Keep forgetting to put dates
14+4
Definitely still in the 'looking chubby rather than pregnant' camp here Hmm
