Oh what a lovely idea Bluebell, sounds beautiful

HopesAndDreams15 · 11/01/2016 09:37

Bluebell that is such a lovely idea.

Cheery1 · 11/01/2016 09:55

Bluebell your quilt idea is so lovely! I lost my Mum when I was 18 and am finding I miss her, and my dear Gran and Grandad, through this time. My godmother is an ace quilter so I'm going to see what clothes I have of Mum's, and Gran's, and ask her to make q quilt. Thank you for such a lovely idea x

minieggaddict · 11/01/2016 09:56

Beautiful idea Bluebell 😊

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/01/2016 10:02

Hopes I've added pictures of the pushchair. It also came with the full set of bright orange fabrics which I really like. We might have a 4d scan this time but I'm not sure. I took ds1 and 2 last time and they said the baby looked like an alien and got the giggles Grin

Scase every little thing bugs me too. DH is being mean and winding me up as he knows how irritated at everything I am. I'm also getting ligament pain if I sneeze or get up too quick.

Bluebell so sorry that you've lost your mum. That's such a great idea about the blanket though. It's made me a bit teary.

Good luck youandme x

wantingno2 · 11/01/2016 10:33

Beautician I don't want to disappointed you but that is a cameleon 2 I hope you didn't pay to much for it I'm a bit of a bugaboo expert as I love prams my sons had so many I can't wait to start again with this one I'm a terrible pram addict lol good luck to those with appointment today. How long did it take for everyone's NT results to come back I'm really nervous x

Vickie360 · 11/01/2016 10:37

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/01/2016 10:47

Jem wow hope you are enjoying New York. Happy belated Birthday.

Four yes they are purple. I like them as they aren't very popular. It's a nice deep purple so ok for either sex I think.

Youandme good luck I hope it all goes as well as it can for you.

Wanting oh I don't mind. The lady didn't sell it as a bugaboo 3 she said it was 2 or 3 but couldn't remember. I can't tell the difference. We only paid £200 and considering it has everything including the car seat I'm more than happy. Out of interest what is the difference ?

I will probably get the Bugaboo Bee once the baby is older as these will be my last pushchairs. But we are saving for a house deposit. I'm buying most things new. We have so far bought from new a bouncer, Playmat and slumber buddy. I wanted to make the most of the sales.

wantingno2 · 11/01/2016 10:57

The cam 2 has the plastic spikes on the front wheels and the cam 3 is Flat and the camp also comes with new comfort harness and extendable hoods I've got the bee3 at the moment for my son will be selling it when new baby is born as I'm just going to get a buggy board for him £200 isn't a bad price for what you got I was just hoping you didn't spend a fortune and it jot be what you had paid for xx

Pinseyboo38 · 11/01/2016 11:15

You ladies are a bad influence, you've got me googling pushchairs lol
It's a mind field what's out there, Ive seen so many I love already aaargh!!!

wantingno2 · 11/01/2016 11:26

Bugaboo,Stokke and icandy are the better of the prams they last longer and also whole there value better in terms of resale when you're finished with them there's lots of pages on Facebook where you can pick up a bargain if your buying second hand so if any of you are on Facebook have a look x

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 11/01/2016 11:27

It went OK. Bloody painful though. All looked fine apparently though. Dr did do a smear - she said not risky to do. If all clear I will (after 18 long months) be discharged back to GP.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 11/01/2016 11:43

That's good news youandme I remember being hugely relieved when finally discharged from colposcopy clinic. Once you've seen the consultant re cervical length do let me know how it goes. I've got mine on 26th and anxious about what to expect.

pinsey I've got pram fever at the moment as well. I was completely set on the Bugaboo cam but when I actually went into the store and had a look I found I preferred the Stokke xplory wayyy more (I'd previously discounted it as being too "pretentious looking" but fell in love with it in person) I'm heading to the baby show in Feb to see if we can get it at a discount.

Has anyone actually done NCT classes before? Is it worth the price tag? I'm seeing it as a paying money to make friends type exercise. We moved here just over a year ago and have made a couple of friends but none with babies or planning for babies yet so I could do with making mummy friends. For anyone that's been are you still in touch with other mums that you met?

Pinseyboo38 · 11/01/2016 11:54

Thanks for the tips allthegoodnames and wanting. I must stop falling for the pretty colours and actually go and have a look at them lol.
Got my harmony test at 2:15 today and then the long 10 day wait for the results so am just going to think positive and distract myself with all things baby xx

wantingno2 · 11/01/2016 11:57

I'm really nervous about these NT results how long do they take to come back x

Pinseyboo38 · 11/01/2016 12:00

Wanting I had my nhs bloods done on the 29th Dec and had a phone call on the 6th Jan from the midwife to say I was high risk, 1:41. Obviously I had the new year bank holiday with mine so hopefully yours won't take that long x

wantingno2 · 11/01/2016 12:27

Ow gosh I hope it doesn't take that long what have you decided to do re- further tests?? X

wantingno2 · 11/01/2016 12:28

Ow sorry just seen your having the harmony test good luck I'm sure you won't be left waiting 10 days xx

photographerlady · 11/01/2016 13:37

Well baby number 2 is such a weird experience. Was starting to get worked up by the idea of childcare. I am planning to go back to work Jan 2017 so a much shorter mat leave this time. Mainly down to money if I am to be honest. I am the main bill payer as my DH splits his time working part time and looking after our 2.5 year old when shes home from pre-school. I never really got on with childminders and nurseries. I just never found a good fit and they seemed just so over crowded. I think I am just a bit oversensitive.

DH offered yesterday to stay home with baby til the autumn after their first birthday. This was such a weight off my shoulders. He can still work freelance but very small amounts til we find a good childcare option when my DC returns to term.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken I did NCT the first time round and the best mum friends I have are from my group. Other friends have had not so great groups but its been rare and honestly know only one mum that really doesn't meetup with their NCT class group. The classes themselves are basic but you find that the weeks before labour and the months after you use your NCT mums to get out the house and feel somewhat normal. Even just meeting for a coffee really helps in the early weeks of having a newborn the first time. I my experience it was so much nicer than the other baby groups where I felt rushed and a bit manic.

BeauticianNotMagician81 nice pram. I have a bugaboo bee and love it. Great brand.

mascaraisamust so jealous with the gender scan, the wait for 20 weeks feels like AGES away.

SunnyScot89 · 11/01/2016 13:57

Oh wow, 4 pages already!!! Scan went really well on friday. Our wee bean was waving to us. Very happy. Hope everyone is well... struggling to keep up with all the chat!!!
