That is super cute Wanting!!! I can't remember but is this your first girl? X

wantingno2 · 28/01/2016 16:03

Yes anna I have a son already really wanted a girl I'm over the moon I cried loads xx

photographerlady · 28/01/2016 16:06

Lovely photo!

photographerlady · 28/01/2016 16:10

Ugh I am going through babysitter mayhem at the moment. I am trying to book someone so my DH can go to the scan with me but seems that 4pm is the worse time to get a sitter. Silly scan time. I have had to go to every appointment on my own and last time for the 12 week scan they really werent keen that my DD was there. Seems like the 20 week I will be all alone.

BeauticianNotMagician81 Sorry to hear about the job.

youandme Great news

AnnaT45 · 28/01/2016 17:01

Ah I'm so pleased for you wanting! I'll warn you though get ready to go nuts with girl clothes! I was out of control when DD was born Grin

Photography that's so annoying. My hospital let's you take children could you ring and explain? Perhaps you can get a diff time or they can make an exception?

Beautician I imagine massaging all day is exhausting at the best of times! I forgot to ask when are you planning to move? That's great it's nearby!

Cookiesandcoffee · 28/01/2016 17:32

wanting so amazing and such a great photo. Did you have it done at Babybond? Loved them there they did a 3D one for us too.
beautician that sounds really crappy. Do you get a say in these Groupon offers? That seems really rubbish money for all your efforts.
scase I wouldn't worry tooo much about the prawns, i wouldn't buy raw ones from a market to cook myself, and if I was abroad I might avoid them, but no risk here. Especially if it's a take away you've eaten from before. I've craved prawns a lot this pregnancy and my favourite is Waitrose Prawn sandwiches! Yum!!
youandme what fab news about your cervix. What a very clever cervix. Does this put an end to the stitch dilemma?

Also very occasional movements here. Did some handstands today and now I feel like I've 'done something* so I've ordered a Doppler from Amazon I hope it hurries up!

woodsy and allthegood* wow to the boobs! I've done from a c/d to a dd/e and that's been tough enough. They're making me feel gross/frumpy/fat. and no chance of DH enjoying them Grinno itching yet but had it terribly in previous pregnancies. Ladies I used to put nipple cream or the e45 anti itch cream on mine if that helps. In fact later down the line was getting through tubes and tubes of the anti itch stuff. My bump drove me INSANE

Good news on the money bluebell - phew!

julfin I would be lying if I said I hadn't eaten a rareish steak or two in the past 4 months... Each pregnancy I've become a little more slack..

mascaraisamust · 28/01/2016 17:59

Congrats wanting! Ahhh I'm so impatient, I think this is the worst stage as symptoms are gone, you can't really feel baby yet for reassurance so you're just plodding on hoping your body is doing as it should. Can't wait for my scan a week on Saturday!!

Jealous of those with movements, this is #1 so I reckon I'll be waiting a while yet too. Only 15+3 so some of you are rather ahead of me!

I am eating loooooads!!! People are actually making jokes about hiding their food from me Hmm

mascaraisamust · 28/01/2016 18:00

Youandme, fab news too!!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 28/01/2016 18:01

Aww that's lovely wanting!

I think I should now hopefully be able to avoid a stitch. There would certainly be no question of it at this length. I have to carry on with the progesterone pessaries and go back for another scan next week: apparently the consultant will decide then what next steps will be: I guess if it remains a good length I won't need to carry on with the weekly scans maybe?

On other topics - it's interesting how everyone is different - my breasts haven't really gotten any bigger at all. This is no bad thing, as they were pretty massive in the first place!

I'm definitely feeling the baby move most days now, although sometimes more than on other days. It's lovely - can't wait until DH can feel from the outside!

18+3

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 18:05

Bluebell that's great news about the job - phew! Faith restored

Wanting - sooo cute, delighted for you!

Youandme - so pleased! Hope you can relax a bit more now. Though I'm one to talk - 16 wk apt tomorrow and feeling really anxious again!

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 18:07

Joining in the boob debate - mine are definitely loads biggers. Zero to hero in the first 6 weeks! Need to buy another bra soon methinks….

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 18:13

Beautician sorry about your job that's really disheartening, especially when you're tired and hormonal! You could really do with the money being good! Hugs to you x

wantingno2 · 28/01/2016 19:52

Thanks everyone yes cookies it was babybond and anna I've already bought loads of ted baker stuff from debanhams they have a sale on and bought a few things from mothercare xx

Scase1firsttimemum · 28/01/2016 20:26

Just ordered a doppler GrinGrinGrin so excited :)!!

Re boobs, I only noticed mine getting bigger as I went up a size but OH seems to think they've massively grown and is rather impressed :L haha!

redstrawberries101 · 28/01/2016 20:28

Hi everyone!

Changed my name from melvali.
Nice to see you are all doing so well and the lovely pics too Smile it's funny when I read your posts I feel like I almost got to know all of you, it really is a lovely thread! I'm feeling much better than I was although not quite back to where I was energy /exhaustion wise. Just waiting for my first period and then maybe we'll start TTC again xxx

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 28/01/2016 20:36

Fab photo wanting looks like she's smiling and giving a thumbs up! so cute!

That's great news youandme

Had my cervical length scan today all is well phew! It was 4.5cm so absolutely normal and nothing to worry about. Got to see the consultant again in four weeks time and all being well I should be discharged back to normal midwife pathway and no longer high risk. I also got to see the baby again woohoo! s/he was wriggling away and heart was a healthy 150bpm. Makes me feel slightly less anxious now as 20 week scan seems so far away.

mascara I know what you mean about all the eating, I'm literally eating everything in sight at the mo and having a weird obsession with Mac and cheese (I've got the palette of a 4 year old)

So glad it's Friday tomorrow!

16+2

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 28/01/2016 20:39

Hi Mel lovely to hear from you and pleased you are doing well. TTC is the fun bit so hoping it comes round quickly again for you and all goes well next time round.xx

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 21:01

Hey Mel/Cheeky! Lovely to hear from you. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Wishing you all luck for TTC again xx

mascaraisamust · 28/01/2016 21:16

Allthegoodnames, I have to eat something at least once every hour... The only time I don't eat is when I'm sleeping Blush I'm in bed and I'm hungry now (five tacos later, followed by a rice crispie bar and a snack bag of apple)... Good job a pack of biscuits are next to my bed Wink DH doesn't quite feel the same. Great news about your scan today and that's all seems to be working out.

I only went to mothercare last weekend to get measured and they said I'm the same size as I was before I got pregnant (no way)... Bought it as it felt comfier but I feel like I've wasted my money as its cutting into me!

Hi Mel/cheeky, been there it's tough, take care and hope all works out soon x

FuzzyDucker · 28/01/2016 21:23

Congrats on the girl wanting!!

Re boobs: you honestly get so used to it, I was so embarrassed being measured for maternity bras when I was pregnant but straight after birth had my boobs out all the time with all manner of midwife and hca showing me how to feed and handling them! They just felt like completely separate things from the 'sexualised' pre baby boobs. I then worries that I wouldn't never want them touched sexually again, but I did after I'd stopped feeding and they felt sexy once more. Weird! I also hated them being touched because they were sore, and they got sorer when my milk came in! But a baby is different and doesn't seem to be a problem.
They are so big and sore this time round, my toddler elbowed me in them last night - OW!

AnnaT45 · 28/01/2016 22:25

Mascara I had three burritos last night!! I'm foul Blushsupposed to be being good!

Klaptrap · 29/01/2016 07:37

Hello ladies, may I join you all please?

I am due, with my first, on the 18th of June. 20 week scan is on Tuesday. Baby started kicking like a champ last Saturday, so it is all feeling much, much more real now.

Hope to get to know you all in the coming months!
