Aww Scase I can sympathise - I keep on craving a nice big steak, but what's the point in having a steak if it's not nice and pink and juicy, ha ha! Am looking forward to 20th July when I'll be stuffing my face with steak, Parma ham, blue cheese, sushi etc to my heart's content...
Mmmm...

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 08:28

No worries Kitkat - definitely looks like a bump Wink

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 08:28

julfin - mmmm steak!!!!

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 08:31

P.S. Anyone on the Facebook group heard from Kaytee - hope she's ok? I still can't go on it as I'm not 'out' at work.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 28/01/2016 08:56

cheery haven't heard from kaytee but I do remember at one point she mentioned she might leave MN due to some negative comments etc. so maybe that's what she's done?

Woodsy81 · 28/01/2016 09:13

julfin - Can't wait to eat a rare steak and loads and loads of sushi......and wine.

Felt the baby move last night. Was amazing!! It felt further forward than any other possible movement I had felt before, so it was definitely baby. So happy. :)

Cheery1 · 28/01/2016 09:17

Ah ok Allthegood - hope she's ok but that makes sense.

Bluebell20 · 28/01/2016 10:11

Woodsy how exciting! I thought mayyyyybe I felt the baby move in a meeting yesterday, but I couldn't really be sure, what with the old anterior placenta and all.

Ellizardo and Cheery, I did it! I emailed them! And they emailed back straight away - they had in fact made a mistake and had quoted me the rate for a different job. Whew!

Is anyone else being driven absolutely crazy by the size of their boobs? I mean, mine still aren't big, not really, but they are SO big compared to the size they are normally, and I just feel like they are getting in my way all the time. I feel really horribly conscious of them and I don't like it! I think maybe because they are more sensitive than normal, too? Just - ugh.

Woodsy81 · 28/01/2016 10:36

Bluebell My boobs are huuuuge. And for some reason my left one is so itchy. I am sure they are already growing out of the bra's I only bought a month ago. I quite liked the size that they were a few weeks ago but now they just feel out of control. I am wearing an EE cup just now (I am normally c-dd). Some of the other bras I have at home are an F. Surely they will not get much bigger then this at least until baby is born. DH loves them though. lol.

CultureSucksDownWords · 28/01/2016 10:40

This time and last time, my boobs haven't changed at all, still wearing my usual bras. I was worried last time as I thought that maybe I would have problems feeding, but it wasn't the case. It's so strange how pregnancy does such different things to people!

I can't beat them being touched at the moment though, they're hyper sensitive :-(

Bluebell20 · 28/01/2016 10:43

Woodsy my left one was really itchy last night, too! Weirrrrd. I still haven't been to get myself measured for a new bra which I know is really naughty of me. I'm just wearing some soft stretchy ones that I already had, but DH pointed out last night that they were looking a little snug...

And yeah, I think my DH is quite keen on their new size as well, but I really hate the feeling of them being touched at the moment so that's not ideal! I am starting to worry a bit that I won't be able to stand breastfeeding... Just the thought of it at the moment makes me feel really stressed!

Bluebell20 · 28/01/2016 10:45

Haha Culture, identical comments from us! Did breastfeeding bother you last time at all? I really am worrying about it!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 28/01/2016 10:46

Bel I can't wait to go to the spa although I can only use the pool so I'll have a few treatments so DH can use the steam room etc. We are going away for a week in April but only to Haven with the children. We usually go abroad but I don't feel up to it. Plus we tried haven in October and we all loved it.

Elizarado I have extreme thirst as well. I too am jumping on the yoga wagon. I've found a class near me and I can't wait.

Woodsy I'm not sure they will do an Indian head massage on you. Any type of massage has to be adapted for pregnancy & not all therapists are qualified to do that. I love my routine. I always managed to get out of the house fine as well. It's when they are toddlers that the fun starts. My youngest has a tantrum every morning about not wanting to go to nursery.

Pinsey they didn't listen for a the babies heartbeat at my 16 week appt either. All rather disappointing I was in and out in 10 mins.

Thom welcome. Sorry I don't know about hypertension. Who told you about the possibility of labour at 28weeks? Midwife or doctor. I find sometimes they err on the side of caution & can unnecessarily worry you. With my first I was told he was too small by the midwife and that he must have growth problems. I went to a consultant & he pretty much laughed and said i was just having a small baby. Ds1 was 6lb. With number 2 they said I would need a blood transfusion & c section as I had such severe anaemia. Again it didn't happen and I had a normal birth & no transfusion. Maybe they just have to give us worst case scenario.

Scase personally I would save the money for a scan after your NHS one. You will probably see more of baby then plus it will be confirmation of the sex. The 4d scans are great. Don't worry about the Mayo I've made spaghetti carbonara a few times during pregnancy I always add prawns plus obviously it contains raw egg.

Cheery I've been doing the Erin o'Brien dvd I love it. She makes me laugh.

Bluebell glad your job got sorted. I hate being self employed.

I'm really hating my new job I feel that she's just taking the piss. Loads of groupons running which means for an hour & a halfs work I make £12.70. It's all massage so I'm exhausted. Ive made at least double that per hour in other salons Sad. I don't know how I'm going to cope until maternity leave. I keep getting more & more hours put on me. Including Saturday's which I had said I didn't want to do.

I've been feeling quite a lot of movement however, in the last two days I haven't. I'm hoping movements I feel are just inconsistent as its so early.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 28/01/2016 10:48

bluebell mine are ridiculous at the moment (think comedy sized Katy Price). I was always a F cup even when I was a size 8. With this pregnancy they've shot up to a H cup SadI keep fantasising about having a breast reduction after I finish having babies. DH has threatened to have a penis reduction if I even so much as think about it Grin

CultureSucksDownWords · 28/01/2016 11:21

Bluebell in the end breastfeeding was fine, but I had a very non-typical start as DS was in SCBU for 3 days and then on a transitional care ward before we were discharged. He was initially v unwell and on a drip, then tube fed. I had to express and give him what I could via the tube. Then when he was gaining strength we had to work on latching on as he struggled to know what to do, I think due to having been tube fed. We went home feeding a mix of formula, expressed milk and direct breastfeeding. My supply was behind his demand due to the rocky start so it was quite intense for a few weeks whilst I caught up with him. Went on to feed till he stopped himself at about 16 months.

I found breastfeeding to be absolutely fine once I'd got used to the initial sensation which is just a little odd as you're not used to it. Then very quickly it becomes completely normal and unremarkable, just how you feed your baby. I would just see how it all goes and ask for help if something doesn't seem right. I found though, that health visitors don't always know much about breastfeeding and didn't have much in depth advice. I found a lot of info out online and from friends who were members of La Leche League.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 28/01/2016 12:05

I've just had another cervical scan. Cervix has actually lengthened to 35mm from 24mm! Very pleased.

Ellizardo · 28/01/2016 12:23

youandme - woohoo! fantastic news, i was wondering how you were getting on, really pleased to hear you have an incredible lengthening cervix! has this put paid to a stitch for now then?

bluebell - i totally wondered about breastfeeding too as I certainly never associated them with that kind of activity shall we say (stupid I know) but as culture says, it becomes totally natural and normal and you kind of unclip your bra and shrug your boob out like it a pro within days! ditto when i stopped bfing around 6 months, both me and DS were fine with it, no crying etc.

and glad they made a mistake, sorry for coming over all militant wimmin about it..!

beautician - i seem to remember VERY sporadic movements early on with DS1 so try not to worry. Jealous you're feeling anything at all! Haven't felt any movements yet at 16+3..and sorry to hear you're being shafted by Groupon. I have to say i often look at those deals and wonder who actually benefits (apart from the customer of course). is there any way of getting a new position in the next few weeks?

wantingno2 · 28/01/2016 14:42
