Feline - I think youandme is probably the best person (though sadly it's for a shit reason) to talk about this. If you scroll through the thread you'll see. I had letz and polyps over the past ten years so during my first preg last year [incidentally, hi Anna! looks like we're in a v similar 'small gap' situation - mine will be 15-16 months between them, argh!] I had fortnightly cervical measurements to check it wasn't being affected by the growing baby. Turns out, luckily, it wasn't. The good news is they (should) really take care of you and see you regularly for reassurance. Good luck!

Scase - what pram did you get? So exciting!!

birchybaby2 · 22/01/2016 18:02

Day spent trying to organise antibiotics for a uti!!!! Antenatal clinic said needed them and would fax gp and surprise surprise the surgery said never received them. So frustrating but eventually I have flucloxacillin. Was suppose to be going to visit my mum who lives hour and a half away with dementia and take her out for the day and stay over. The only one pleased is my daughter,as mummy now here tonight. This feed makes me realise how many of us get caught between caring for parents and our own children. It's so hard. It's lovely to hear how everyone's doing and the trials and tribulations of pregnancy. Xx

mascaraisamust · 22/01/2016 18:09

Oh birch, utis can make you feel lousy, get yourself wrapped up and completely chilled out tonight. Shame the day didn't pan out how you wanted it to.

Dare I say this is the first Friday I feel ok......

AnnaT45 · 22/01/2016 18:17

Hi Cheery! I got the denim ones as I thought they look quite smart and could wear for work with boots and a nice too. Im tempted by the slouchy ones for home though.
Elizardo! Bless you! We can do this (Christ knows how, wine?) I need to look at double buggys! I have a bugaboo at the mo but the double is about £1200 all in and I just can't justify that!

Im so sorry for those having bad news with parents. My father in law was very ill and passed in my last pregnancy and it was so awful so you have my full sympathies. Try not to feel guilty for looking after yourselves though. X

Scase1firsttimemum · 22/01/2016 18:19

Its a Baby-Merc one.. Heres a picture :) its got a bounce to it so I can relax the baby, it also came with nappy bag, rain cover, mozzy net, changing mat and car seat :)! Bargain it was haha!

Hi Feline - I'll drop you a PM so as not to thread with even more of my cervix chat!

mascaraisamust · 22/01/2016 18:30

Right it's Friday and you know what I'm going to ask, what's everyone having for dinner??!!

birchybaby2 · 22/01/2016 18:47

I'm feeling fine and have had bugs in my wee for a month!! Gp not treated as asymptomatic. Probably a course is a good idea to get it sorted. We're just had homemade pizza ( bought bases, own toppings) and salad for tea. Hubbie tends to take charge in kitchen, as long as I've done a food shop he sorts it out. Bath and pj time for daughter and mite join her. Xx

Scase1firsttimemum · 22/01/2016 19:02

We are having mash (one of my cravings if you like) sausages and onion gravy!! My favourite dinner I love it and can not wait for it to be done so I can dig in!

mascaraisamust · 22/01/2016 19:05

Ohhh sounds good, I'm leaning toward homemade pizza too, not got anything in though and don't want to leave the house Hmm

mascaraisamust · 22/01/2016 19:05

Mmm Scase sounds like a good tea for Sunday that!

Cheery1 · 22/01/2016 20:04

Hi Feline!

Scase - we had sausages too, with homemade boston beans and baked potato. Yum.

Mascara hope you get your homemade pizza Smile

Cookiesandcoffee · 22/01/2016 20:50

mascara I had a stew I made with mash. I'm jealous of the sausages now though, will have them tomorrow (had already had a sausage bap this morning Hmm - baby has wanted sausages constantly!)
Welcome to newbies!
Exciting you bought your pram scase Grin me and DH can't find all the bits to ours- I'm stressing out about it big time and everyone else keeps saying it's fine I have all this time stamps foot - I want it now!!!
Anna I looked at those last night but didn't have the guts to go for it. They're lovely. I went for a couple of boring / useful basic tops instead.

After moaning about my bras for weeks I finally treated myself to a new bra and new sports bra from M&S. Safe to say I'm so excited to wear them and contain my out-of-control boobs! I may have also bought a few bits in the baby section.. Blush

Magickal · 22/01/2016 21:06

Youandme, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.

My books aren't leaking (& never did last time) but the are sooooo itch it's unbelievable. I don't know what to do but am in danger of scratching them to bits.

minieggaddict · 22/01/2016 21:19

We had homemade pizza and salad too! Delish Smile altho started with a sore throat and totally zonked hoping I'm not coming down with something...got a stash of mini eggs to help 😉

wantingno2 · 22/01/2016 21:29

HopesAndDreams15 · 22/01/2016 21:40

Evening ladies,

Youandme sorry to hear about your dad.

Nice pram Scase, exciting!..not so exciting about the leaking boobage though, the joys of pregnancy eh?

Welcome to the new ladies.

Haven't been on for a couple of days, banging head cold...medicinal Dominoes for tea for me tonight Smile

Magickal · 22/01/2016 21:59

I'm craving chip butties and crisps too. And cereal. I don't want to eat anything else.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 22/01/2016 22:37

Already had my dinner but reading this thread has got me craving chips, homemade pizzas and monster munch! Glad to hear I'm not the only one craving sausages, I'm literally having one for breakfast every morning in the canteen at work Shock baby is gonna come out looking like a bloomin sausage!

Ellizardo · 23/01/2016 08:38

Anna - wine all the way! It's my 40th in August so I'm focusing on that! we've got an uppababy vista for ds1 which converts to add another carrycot/seat on the chassis for Dd when she arrives. It'll be like driving a tank but at least it shouldn't bankrupt us...!

Ellizardo · 23/01/2016 08:39

And we had steak and chips and broccoli and salad with lemon tarts and raspberries last night!

Magickal · 23/01/2016 09:15

I want an uppababy too but they're soooo expensive! I'd forgotten how much by stuff costs. I'm like for minimalist - last time I didn't have a changing table or a baby bath but DP insists we must have everything.

We finally have all 5 DC today so will be telling them our news this afternoon. I'm really nervous.

Ellizardo · 23/01/2016 10:18

Magickal - I totally justify it as the model that will 'do' both kids so we don't have to ever go through the choosing-pram-gamut again! But yes, the whole baby gear thing is a total racket!

Ellizardo · 23/01/2016 10:18

And good luck telling your kids! It'll be fantastic!

mascaraisamust · 23/01/2016 12:07

Hopesanddreams didn't quite get to make my own pizza it was dominoes here too Blush
