Vickie360 · 20/01/2016 19:22

Glad everything went well wanting.
I'm thinking mines a boy which would be nice having one of each but a girl would be just as nice so dd could have a sister

Magickal · 20/01/2016 19:29

wantingno2 · 20/01/2016 19:32

What is the Facebook page called please xx

FuzzyDucker · 20/01/2016 19:41

cookies I had a black boba wrap last time (end of May) and didn't find it too hot that summer as far as I remember. I probably only wore a strap top under it. You can wear them over just a bra when at home too! Great thing about babywearing is your body helps regulate the temperature of the baby, so if the baby is too hot your body cools a degree or two to keep them at the right temperature.

I didn't find the boba stretched out of shape but tbh you'll only use it for four months or so as they're not supportive enoug when baby is bigger. I have sold it since and have now got a second hand close caboo which cost £30 from a Facebook group and I think it looks quicker than a stretchy you have to tie, but no practical experience yet! I do think it'll be less faff and might be better for shorter people as no tails swishing about.

If people want a really basic cheap stretchy there's one on eBay called the amawrap which is about twenty quid and I think all stretches are created equal really. If you want easy and quick I'd go for the caboo (although stretches are easy). If you want it to last then a ring sling. (Still use a basic cotton one with my 20 month chunk) or a Tula with infant insert for while its newborn (£100 but will last till they're about 2 and very comfy, front and back carries).

Peyia · 20/01/2016 20:16

birdandbee you can sometimes see the sex earlier than 16 weeks. I had my 12 week scan late (was 13+6 but measured 14+2) and the scenographer showed us the sex. Can you work it out? Grin

I think she was being nice as technically she didn't have to show us anything! We wanted to find out this time so we could help our dd understand who was arriving.

Wanting- Facebook page called MN 07/16

Had a bit of another emotional thing earlier, breaking into tears.. Im getting a few pains but its mainly ligament pain Im just getting myself so worked up!! My OH said he doesnt want to worry anymore so feel like I cant go to him if I get worried about something :( he was being so supportive especially over the weekend but I think thats what did it, it scared him too much and now its like he doesnt want to get too excited as he has seen something can happen with the blink of an eye and now distancing himself :(

Cookiesandcoffee · 20/01/2016 20:48

peyia that's amazing! I said after my scan it was so obvious that I'm sure you could have seen a few weeks before.
Glad the scan went well wanting
mini that's a good price, glad you've found the heartbeat and hope it gives you a lot of reassurance. I am tempted! My DDS would love it!
mascara I was low with both my girls, I feel like this one is a different shape so far but I guess it's early days. Sorry to hear you found a bit of discharge I hope it's nothing more.
fuzzy that's great thank you. Very helpful you're a superstar. That's what I thought about the Caboo, looks like it could be easier. But I didn't have a problem tying the Moby. Just trying to weigh up the expense. Have been looking for a second hand bargain but they do seem to retain a lot of value. In reality I don't think I would use it enough for a decent ring sling. Am more tempted by a boba now..

CultureSucksDownWords · 20/01/2016 21:07

mascaraisamust · 20/01/2016 21:54

Thanks cookies, there is nothing more so I'm just hoping it was just some random discolouration! Told the midwife, she ignored it completely and told me to book in for my 16 week appointment Hmm

Scase1firsttimemum · 20/01/2016 21:54

Accepted :) and thank you! Im only sane because of this group I swear!

Cookiesandcoffee · 21/01/2016 07:56

I've asked to join the group - I'm C F

Bluebell20 · 21/01/2016 09:56

Thanks for the good commute wishes, ladies - the train was WAY better. It took an hour and a half each way, and I had to get up at 5.30am, but it was so, so worth it to cut the driving down to 35 minutes. (And yeah, Cookies, I did not go to the gym! I ended up doing a very mild pregnancy pilates class over YouTube as a compromise!)

YouandMe, I hope that you can go and see your dad now that you have a plan in place.

I woke up this morning with quite a large, hard bump... And then I went for a wee... And it went right back down and much softer, so my full bladder must have been pushing the baby out to the front! Hilarious.

17 + 2

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 21/01/2016 11:19

Just had cervical scan - cervix still holding at 2.4cm and closed with no funnelling. Was lovely to see baby bouncing around. So that's some good news.

Sadly my dad is no better and the doctors don't have much hope for any very significant improvement. They have said he will be in hospital rehab for many months and will probably always need 24 hour care. My mum is firm that she doesn't want me to come down, and I don't want to add to her worries so I'm going to stay put for the moment. He will hopefully be moved to the specialist stroke place soon, and I will aim to go when he is settled there.

Scase1firsttimemum · 21/01/2016 12:14

Sorry to hear about your dad, at least he is getting the care he needs and being looked after properly :)

Glad scan went well and you got to see baby again :)

Im getting so worried again that somethings gone wrong! Cant wait for this scan, seems so far away though :(

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/01/2016 16:14

It's my birthday today. I want wine but instead I'll settle for the heaps and heaps of chocolates I've received. I really am showing now but it's definitely more roses & thorntons finest than baby Grin

15+6

Pinseyboo38 · 21/01/2016 16:38

Happy birthday Beautician, enjoy your chocolates x

16+4

Scase1firsttimemum · 21/01/2016 16:59

Happy birthday!!

Bit Tmi but so embarrassed! My boobs started leaking at work!! Anyone elses ?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/01/2016 17:27

Thank you.

Scase mine haven't started leaking yet but they did at this stage with ds3. Get done breast pads in to avoid any embarrassment at work

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/01/2016 17:27

Some

mascaraisamust · 21/01/2016 17:43

Happy birthday Beautician Smile

I am drained. I want to a lazy night tonight!

Ellizardo · 21/01/2016 17:53

Youandme - I'm so sorry to hear about your father. How stressful for you all. My fil had a stroke in Sept and though he's making a good recovery, he's still shattered and emotionally devastated in terms of the fear of it happening again. Can your Pa speak/communicate? Lots of love to you X

Ellizardo · 21/01/2016 17:53

Happy birthday beautician! It's amazing how fast 21 years go isn't it?!
