Mascara I'm feeling the cold too, I've resorted to wearing a blanket over my legs like a pensioner...even at work! Blush

Beaut I know what you mean about childcare costs. I was paying a fortune when my two were little, this time I'd rather stay at home and make the most of those baby months as they really do go too quick. (Can someone remind me I said that come August/Sept time?)

Youandme I agree with Cheery that a chat with your GP might be a good idea. It must be a real worry for you, try and look after yourself.

Lovely bumpie Scase!

Welcome Bet and Kent, you're very welcome.

Lovely pic Crazy, congrats!

Waves to everyone else.

Found myself in Babyland today browsing at pushchairs. Can't wait to break the news to DH that they are now the price of a family saloon! Grin

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 15/01/2016 16:33

I'm seeing the midwife first thing on Tuesday morning, so will see what comes of that. I just need to try and stay calm. It's very scary though.

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 16:57

Crazycatlady are dd are the same Grin 20 week scan is the 29th Feb! I'm finding it to going quite quickly! Maybe because I'm busy!

Pulpi, I'd love a babymoon. We seem to have gone diy mad here!

Not sure what to do about the gender scan now, had one booked for the 14th Feb but I reckon I could wait on a few more weeks...

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 16:58

Our* I'm getting worse!

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 16:59

Hopes im sick of sitting in my own house with my coat on!

Cheery1 · 15/01/2016 17:52

Hello new ladies, welcome!

Lovely scan pics, such a treat to see all these little bubbas waving at us all Smile

Just to say it is freezing out there, it might be that we've got weird temperature as preggies but we're also not used to it. It's been so warm! Think that was the main topic of conversation with family over Xmas! Wrap up warm all with a Brew

Pinseyboo38 · 15/01/2016 17:55

So lovely to see all the scans pics Smile
Well day 4 is nearly over so only another 3-5days left xx

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 18:14

Random I know but what is everyone having for dinner tonight?! I don't know what I want to eat! Which is really annoying me

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 15/01/2016 18:23

I will catch up properly later.

Mascara I'm making a made up but easy dish. Breasts of chicken with a jar of Lloyd grossman sauce thrown into a casserole dish. Then I chop peppers, onion, mushrooms and add cherry tomatoes to the dish & cook for about 45 mins & serve with rice. Nom

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 15/01/2016 18:40

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 18:55

Pinseyboo38 · 15/01/2016 18:57

Fish finger sandwich is my go to meal at the minute lol x

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 19:02

Battered/breadcrumbed fish is my thing too Pinsey, had exactly that for lunch Blush

Cookiesandcoffee · 15/01/2016 19:04

Lovely scans ladies! Will catch up properly later if I'm home at a decent hour (I'm going out for an evening with make up on and everything WinkGrin)
mascara I'm going for a curry with friends. And it's a good one too. Have fancied one for ages so very excited. Have Gaviscon at the ready ha. Hope you decide on something good. I vote some sort of treat as it's Friday.. And well... You deserve it Smile

gnat99 · 15/01/2016 19:29

Hello all, been catching up on posts since yesterday, thread busy as ever!

Welcome to all the new members, and congrats on the scans Pulpi+ and Crazy*!

YouandMe that really does sound like a worrying position to be in. Easy to say take the advice you've been given, and stay calm, but it's your baby in there! Hope the midwife helps on Tuesday.

Love bump pic Scase - I must post one soon. Too lazy just now. Actually I went to my first pregnancy yoga class last night, and the variety of different bump sizes and shapes was fascinating! Felt a bit of a fraud as mine is still so pathetically small.

DH currently making us fishcakes from scratch. Am so lucky Smile Busy weekend ahead, working tomorrow and parents in law coming for two nights as its DH birthday on Sunday. They are lovely, but oh I wish we could have a quiet weekend to ourselves!

I'm still exhausted, although this week has been extra busy so perhaps it's partly that. Still slight nausea too, hope that goes soon.

I think I will try for 9 months leave if I can manage it. Would take more but not sure yet we will have the funds.

I had cheese toastie for dinner and couldn't eat the middle bit as I didn't like the feel of the melted cheese on my tongue! Weird.

Ellizardo · 15/01/2016 21:42

Roast chicken with potatoes and green salad with homemade lime & Ginger drizzle cake for pud. Quite chuffed with myself until realised this was first time I'd cooked from scratch for weeks. Had a tin of olives stuffed with anchovies last night...Blush

Cheery1 · 15/01/2016 21:47

Sounds delicious Elizardo - proper dinner! We had baked sweet potato and cottage cheese with salad. All good work undone by cakes brought home by DH Blush Yummy though

Bluebell20 · 16/01/2016 00:15

Cookies I shall join you in ignoring the midwife wheel of mystery!

Fuzzy, thanks for all the top sling tips.

youandme, definitely mention your concerns to your midwife next week. You sound pretty well-informed and I think that if they are making a decision that goes against the norm, they should clearly explain why.

Jemimah, my bump comes and goes too. Here it is today at 16+3!

Loving all the scan photos and bump pics.

Had a bit of a scare at work today - we had chicken pox in school and nobody made a point of telling me, despite knowing that I am pregnant. I got rather stressed when I found out and spent twenty minutes trying to chase down a midwife or doctor or anyone who could tell me what I should do. Eventually NHS direct said that as long as I'd had chicken pox as a child, there was no risk.

But gee whizz, what a flap I was in. I got mega dramatic when I first found out, standing in the office and proclaiming: "There is no way that I am going to risk my baby." Fortunately everyone I work with knows to humour me when I get in that kind of a tizz Wink.

mascaraisamust · 16/01/2016 07:01

So I ended up having four slices of toast!! Got a horrid headache after asking you guys, I felt bizarre and went to bed after eating it. Always Friday night! Ellizardo I'll cook properly tonight, you've inspired me.

Ellizardo · 16/01/2016 08:25

Aw mascara hope you feel better.

Cheery - have been living off baked sweet potatoes with hummus recently for lunch...good choice!

Our DS slept until 0715 this morning so for the first time in ages feel human. Now breakfast!

Chicken will be turned into stock, sandwiches and salads for rest of weekend.

Bluebell - chicken pox scare is horrid especially when you found out in that way. Makes you glad you had it when you were younger!

gnat99 · 16/01/2016 08:36

Bluebell, just checking - what age were you when you had the chickenpox? I thought I was safe as I had it when a baby, but apparently unless you're 1 or older you're not guaranteed immunity - and I did catch it a second time last year! At least now I know I've definitely had it Wink

Bluebell20 · 16/01/2016 09:29

Ooo thanks gnat. Fortunately I was in Year 2, so must have been at least six. I remember a very miserable time of watching Care Bears films and trying desperately not to scratch!!

Cheery1 · 16/01/2016 09:34

Elizardo - making chicken stock is bordering on domestic goddessdom - very impressed! It is so satisfying making stock though - I'm tempted by roast chicken tomorrow now…mmmm

Love your leggings Bluebell and your bump if course! Mine is till pretty tiny so not much to show. Eek chicken pox scare is stressful - glad you've already had it!

Hope you feel better this morning mascara
