Oh squirrel how are u coping with all those admissions x

jellybelly85 · 16/12/2015 18:23

Biffle sorry to hear your mental health is suffering. I have depression. I actually came of my anti-depressants in April hoping I could be med-free for conception, but a few months later I wasn't coping well at all. After a month of being really depressed but trying talking therapy and exercise, I decided to go back on my meds. Am now on Lofepramine which has a sound safety profile in pregnancy. Feel so much better for it.

If you're struggling do talk to your GP or ask if you can have a referral to a perinatal mental health specialist (mine is fab!). Sometimes just a chat through various options can help. Its best to get things under control sooner rather than later, for the sake of both you and baby. Hope you start to feel better soon Brew

vitalite · 16/12/2015 18:39

Yay, finally had my scan and all is well Smile. So relieved to see the wee heart beating! Due date brought forward 4 days making me 13+5 today. Hope all other scans from today went well. Can't be many still to have theirs?

I have a axing support loulou so we're doing ok, thank you.

BiffleRoo · 16/12/2015 18:58

I made a Drs appointment, text DH to tell him not realising he was out with work. He went mental, I've barricaded the doors and he's told me he's had enough and not coming home, ever.

GrubbyWindows · 16/12/2015 19:19

Oh biffle you have such a lot on your plate!!!!! So glad you have an appointment, can't believe your H's reaction.
Is there a friend you can call on to be with you? I remember you don't have family nearby, from when things got rocky before, you have such a lot to cope with!!!

Huge huge virtual hugs.

dollydaydream84 · 16/12/2015 21:57

Haven't been around for a day or two but fantastic scans everyone, so clear! Mine wasn't very clear at all, didn't have a full bladder and am not the thinnest! So glad for lots of good news :)

MindfulBear · 16/12/2015 23:24

Is anyone still feeling sick? I have been fine but at almost 14 weeks I now just feel nauseous all the time and the other day I nearly fainted in the supermarket car park due to severe stomach pains, which miraculously disappeared a little later. Was most odd. I do not know what to make of it at all.... I have a scan on Monday at 14+1 so fingers crossed all is going well in there. Other than the recent nausea I dont feel or look pg so am a little concerned.

biffle sorry to hear you are having a tough time but its good that you recognised it and have an appointment to discuss your options. You can take meds if you need to and if the Dr you see says otherwise then please do fine another dr for a 2nd opinion.

So sorry your DH is being an arse. Is he being a little immature at the moment? sounds like it. You poor thing,. Do you have any RL friends nearby you can speak to? It must be tough with 3 DCs to run after too. Sending you unMN virtual hugs.

At the end of my pg with DS I became very down - uncontrollable crying, rage and anxiety. We had just moved to a new area of London, my DH was working overseas 2 weeks at a time and unfortunately his response was "please dont kill my baby", which was not at all what I needed and caused me more uncontrollable rage, crying & anxiety. Sadly my GP (a locum) was next to useless and suggested I rest more (!!) but luckily DS was born a few days later (after an induction due to PE) and the mood did not return. However at the time I found it extremely frightening and felt very very alone.

Hope you feel better soon.

Lovelybeano · 17/12/2015 06:53

Morning :) has anyone else not put on any weight yet ? I've got a bit of a bump that started off like a bloat at about 6 weeks and has just stayed the same, but starting to turn hard now (I'm 13+4) I don't look pregnant, well only to me and the oh cos we both know my body pretty well Grin I haven't put any weight on, I've actually lost. I'm presuming it's because I've been snacking rather than having meals. My eating has returned to nearly normal apart from I can't cook any meat - I can eat it though so it's oh chore now heehee, I just wondered when you should start putting weight on ?

Snowflake16 · 17/12/2015 07:49

beano I'm 16+2 I've had no morning sickness at all having lots of junk food and gone to the gym only once a week if I can be bothered(normally healthy meals and gym 3-4 times a week before) and I've only put on 4lbs 3 of that has been in the last 2 weeks since my bump has come out and hitting the second trimester. Now I'm back at the gym and eating a little healthier again thankfully.

Got my 16 week appointment this morning, not sure what to expect but I'm sure it will not be has exciting has I think it be.

Mrspopper · 17/12/2015 08:29

Biffle I'm on meds for anxiety. The dr was very reassuring. Hope your H becomes more supportive that didn't sound like a nice reaction :(

Amy sooooo pleased for you. It's a great feeling isn't it? Now you can really enjoy Xmas.

I'm struggling with my toddler. Tantrum Central... Ugh. My tolerance levels are low!

17caterpillars1mouse · 17/12/2015 08:57

Would it be weird to take dh to my 16 week appointment next week? I didn't take him to booking, but he is off work next week and I know he would love to hear babybear's heartbeat if the midwife does it

mrsmugoo · 17/12/2015 09:25

My midwife says totally fine to bring older children - they provide a box of toys in the corner of the room.

17caterpillars1mouse · 17/12/2015 09:35

I just felt a sensation like a bubble popping in my pelvic area just above my pubic hair line (sorry best way to explain), I'm 15+4, first pregnancy, is the likely to be baby? Or just weird gas I've never experienced before?

Rose2806 · 17/12/2015 09:54

Amy so happy for you! :-)

Biffle so sorry to hear you're having a tough time, with the right support you can get through it, you sound very strong so make sure you don't let your H stop you from going to the doctors and getting the right help. Make sure you are kind to yourself as well, it'd not your fault and happens to lots of people xxx

Beano I'm exactly the same, 13+4 and have lost a bit of weight rather than gained due to still not bring able to eat as I used to, I weigh less than I did at my wedding when I was desperately trying to make sure I wouldn't get too big to do up my dress!! Also have the bloated tummy that I'm not convinced is proper bump yet, but would like to think it is! When I saw the midwife she didn't seem concerned and said some weight loss is common in the first trimester, I'm not going to worry for another couple of weeks unless I continue to go down, which I haven't. Hope that helps but don't just go on my advice as I'm still very new to all of this!

laughingGnomette · 17/12/2015 10:09

17 - I took DP to my 16 wk appointment last time and he loved hearing the heartbeat. I think he'll just be going to the scans this time though.

Fab news amys!!! Fingers crossed for a stress-free two trimesters for you.

biffle - you're doing absolutely the right thing going to the GP. Your DH is really out of order reacting the way he did.
