Those whose sickness had started again- I'm the same too, it eased at 10 weeks then came back at 12, still hanging around at 13 but seems to improve if I manage to get lots of sleep, which I'm finding quite difficult at the moment. So frustrating! Hopefully it will improve for all of us soon!

Ambergogo · 16/12/2015 10:16

Belle I would also say girl 😊

laughingGnomette · 16/12/2015 10:53

Eugh. I spoke too soon about headaches easing off Sad

Belleboo23 · 16/12/2015 11:03

Biffle yes will be finding out been reading up the nub theory and I just don't get it they all look different to me!! Dh is convinced girl, Dd wants a sister and ds wants a brother so one of them will be disappointed!! Might book a 4d scan for 17 weeks yes I'm that inpatient to find out lol!!! I've found one on Groupon for £49 with dvd and pics thought that was really good

Louise34567 · 16/12/2015 12:31

Thanks rose - that sounds like a good tip re: sleep. I often don't get enough. Hope your sickness eases off soon.

TomboyGirl · 16/12/2015 12:41

Anyone else having their 16wk appointment next week? Doctor's said I've got to have to baby's heartbeat monitored on this occasion, what with all the previous bleeding and all. Looking forward though! Can't wait Smile!

TomboyGirl · 16/12/2015 12:42

Hope all you ladies feeling sick at the moment get better soon!

BiffleRoo · 16/12/2015 13:03

belle I was going on skull theory rather than nub. Girls have a more rounded forehead and certainly held true for my 3 looking back over scans. I'm so impatient to find out and really want to know! 20 week scan is roughly 22nd Jan (no date yet) and have to wait for DH to get home on 18th March before I can open envelope! It's going to kill me!!!

Cartooner · 16/12/2015 13:23

Hello all, I've been off this thread for weeks. I had a big bleed, but by some miracle all was fine and I am now 15 weeks. I have three boys and I cannot decide whether to find out the gender. As odd as it sounds I don't think I'd ever feel disappointment with another boy but I wonder if it would be good to know in advance anyway, just to know.... and not be wondering could it be a girl. I mean, l am not shallow but I also love the idea of a daughter the same as most people and as this is my last baby if that's not to be, then I think it would be good to know. Gosh I sound so superficial saying this... it's only in relation to knowing/not knowing. I want a healthy baby, end of, and after the scare I had that's enough!

laughingGnomette · 16/12/2015 13:30

Tomboy - me too! I heard the heartbeat at this appointment with DS so hopefully I will this time around too.

Belleboo23 · 16/12/2015 13:36

Biffle I didn't know about the skull one! I don't think I'd be able to resist peaking in the envelope!!! I found out with my other two but there was always that have they got it wrong worry. Glad all ok cartooner that must have been a worrying time xx

BiffleRoo · 16/12/2015 14:13

I'm really struggling at the moment. I've been 'free' from depression for several years (as in not needed medication) but this pg has knocked me for six. I'm having trouble with anxiety and uncontrollable crying. My mood is so up and down and I just don't know what to do anymore.

Eastend2015 · 16/12/2015 14:25

Hi Cartooner, glad you've come through it ok!

Biffle- sorry to hear you are having a rough time, sending you virtual hugs!

Had my first midwife appointment and two interesting/ exciting bits of news 1) our midwife is a man so the baby will experience gender equality from the start, whoop whoop! 2) he thinks the random flutterings I've been feeling are actually the baby moving!!! My mum told me she felt my big bro from about 13 weeks so it's not unheard of to feel your first early. So pleased!!

Cartooner · 16/12/2015 14:32

Thanks folks and yes, yes Eastend, this is my 4th pregnancy and no one can tell me the flutterings are not my baby. I always feel it around 14-15 weeks and here I am again... it's no coincidence!

jbiscuits · 16/12/2015 14:35

biffle that sounds really tough.

Just got back from my midwife appointment. She listened for the heartbeat and found it straight away, so I am suitably reassured Smile

My next appointment isn't until 28 weeks now! I knew I'd have less second time around, but it still surprised me that it would be that far away.

Eastend2015 · 16/12/2015 14:56

Thanks Cartooner, did you feel it at 14weeks even with your first? It's not all the time, just briefly yesterday and on Monday night.

Torfhinn · 16/12/2015 15:04

Sorry to hear you are struggling biffle. My dh has depression and his symptoms are always worse in the winter, it doesn't help that you have all those hormones coursing through you... i feel tearful a lot of the time. Dh had just bought a light box to see if that helps with his mood in the winter, waiting to see if that helps. I know you can't start meds during pregnancy, but have you got any techniques for managing anxiety or can you access counselling? Please post on her when you are feeling low, we're all here for virtual hugs!

Potkettleblack2 · 16/12/2015 16:20

Biffle I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling-but realising it and maybe being able to talk about it (here or elsewhere) is great.

It took a while for the midwife to find the heartbeat today at my 16 week appointment but she did (eventually)! I have quite low blood pressure which explains my dizziness and sluggishness and maybe even the dull headache I have most of the time. I have been feeling dreadful and thought it might have been iron-but that was fine. She said it's v common to have low blood pressure and is better than having high pressure.

jbiscuits do you have a scan at 20 weeks? I have my next midwife appointment at 28 weeks but a scan inbetween.

Cartooner · 16/12/2015 16:22

I can't really remember Eastend as it was almost ten years ago but I am generally very aware of my insides, which sounds weird but I always feel ovulation pain and the like so I don't think it's that strange to feel a little being the size of an apple moving about inside me. It's a very light flutter, and I felt it last week and I thought yep, that's it, like a little goldfish!

Eastend2015 · 16/12/2015 16:28

Thanks, pretty sure I often feel ovulation pain too. The flutterings were definitely of "blink and you'll miss it" (so to to speak) but yes, I think I'm pretty aware of my insides too! little goldfish is a lovely expression 😊

jbiscuits · 16/12/2015 16:38

potkettle yes I have my 20w scan mid January. Just felt odd to be booking my next midwife appointment in for March today!

I've also felt the occasional flutter, but then my stomach gurgles and I'm not sure if it's actually been baby or just wind Blush

Eastend2015 · 16/12/2015 16:48

Hooray for flutters! I like to think it's giving me a little poke to tell me not to worry. But then I do have a bit of an overactive imagination!

Potkettleblack2 · 16/12/2015 16:52

I know-March seems ages away! But I can't believe it's only 4 weeks until my next scan.
I'm sure I'm feeling flutters too but the MW said probably not-but I don't believe her!!

Eastend2015 · 16/12/2015 17:01

I believe you, lol!

NiceOneSquirrel · 16/12/2015 17:31

Hello :-)

I posted previously when I got my bfp but went quiet since I've been in and out of hospital with hyperemesis. Im currently on my 9th admission.

Anyway, 12 week scan went fine and I have a due date of 22nd. This is baby number 3 (and last) and more than likely will be finding out, can someone add me to the stats list please? My dd is 6.10 and my ds is 2.3.

Looking forward to getting more involved in the group.
