Great to come home to so much happy news! Congratulations to everyone on the great scans and lovely pictures Smile

All is quiet here, back pain is constant but low level, daily headaches but that's what i get when pregnant.

Bump very noticeable now (15+2), had my first uninvited 'bump grope' today by a work collegue that i don't particularly like Hmm

Torfhinn · 15/12/2015 19:56

Just found out that my best friend from college days is pregnant and due in June! Yay!

TattedPixie · 15/12/2015 20:36

Grubby I'm feeling better today so it was definitely needed. Gonna finish this plate of salad potatoes and then curl up in bed. Got a headache coming on.

Betty79 · 15/12/2015 21:05

Off topic slightly but for those who were talking about jelly cat teddies a while ago I just ordered one for dp's brothers baby due in jan, and had to order one for ours too. Dp agreed they are very cute Smile

mrslewis2015 · 15/12/2015 21:48

Amazing scan pics everyone!! What a great day! And to top it off, our nursery class had their nativity play today and they did so amazingly well!!! Couldn't have been more proud, and a lovely way to end my time at the nursery :)

laughingGnomette · 15/12/2015 23:50

Torfhinn - eugh. I've been having daily headaches too. Not good. They are starting to fade now though, i hope yours do too. Lovely news about your friend :)

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 16/12/2015 00:20

Me and DH have just found baby's heartbeat on angel sounds Doppler we have bought. So magical. I don't feel as nervous for 12 week scan on Monday now Smile

pamplem0usse · 16/12/2015 06:25

Mrs Lewis we had our nativity play yesterday too! When do you break up? I'm shattered - my boss dropped me in it five minutes before and I ended up having to direct the whole thing. Christmas lunch today, stay and play tomorrow and Santa and party Friday! I will be pleased when this week is over!!!!

pamplem0usse · 16/12/2015 06:26

And congrats on all the scan results everyone! I had a doctors appointment at 14+3 and doctor whipped the Doppler out! One galloping baby heartbeat! Can't keep up with the speed of this thread!

mrslewis2015 · 16/12/2015 07:09

pample we break up on Christmas Eve! We're not term time only, but we don't have too many more big days planned now! Phew! Oh wow... Sounds busy!! Such a lovely time of year but man do we need the Christmas holidays!!!

Belleboo23 · 16/12/2015 07:15

Have just caught up been poorly since Monday night migraine from hell which once I could stomach paracetamol it barely touched it lots of throwing up. back to the normal nausea today have pulled back, neck and stomach muscles from all the puking!! On a positive Mondays scan went well will post a pic now was lovely to see baby finally but got moved back 3 days so now due June 21st :)

Belleboo23 · 16/12/2015 07:20

Here's the better pic we got told dh about the nub theory and he's been guessing I don't really get it though any ideas??!!!

June 2016 thread #5 Starting the great gender speculation. ..
Lovelybeano · 16/12/2015 08:06

I don't know anything about the nub theory but it's a beautiful scan pic belleboo, congratulations!!

So I'm still struggling to cook, luckily the kids usually have school dinners so they can survive on simple things for tea that don't smell (beans on toast, jacket potato , soup etc) oh has taken to cooking while I hide upstairs however he has cooked me some chicken this morning to go with my pasta salad and talk about dry heaving, it smelt like poorly baby milky diarrhoea poop bleurgh I hate my sense of smell at the moment Sad i just want to be able to cook normal food !

jbiscuits · 16/12/2015 08:28

Sorry to hear people are still feeling really rough. Great to see more scan pics though.

I've no idea about nubs theory, but I keep asking DH whether he thinks it's a boy or a girl. His answer is always 'yes' Hmm

I've got my 16w appointment today. Am so nervous, even though realistically there's probably nothing to worry about.

PrincessPunzie · 16/12/2015 08:35

jbiscuits if you mean your midwife appointment, I had mine yesterday (I'm only 15 weeks but she is away next week) - it took less than ten minutes. I handed in a urine sample, had my bp taken and had a brief chat, then left. TBH it felt like rather a waste of time! Complete anti-climax, but definitely nothing to worry about.

mrsmugoo · 16/12/2015 08:43

The routine midwife appointments, especially the early ones are really boring! If everything is normal then really not a lot happens. Blood, urine, handful of leaflets and off you go.
At mine they don't even do doppler til way after 20 weeks.

jbiscuits · 16/12/2015 08:51

Oh yh I know all that, it's just if she tries to find the heart beat and can't that I'm worried about Blush

(but thanks for the reminder about the urine sample otherwise I would have forgotten that!)

mrsmugoo · 16/12/2015 08:55

I highly doubt they will listen to hb at 16wk appt though as it's still quite hard to find.

Belvedere · 16/12/2015 09:23

My midwife is quite old school, she listened to the heartbeat with an old fashion trumpet at my 16 week scan. So I couldn't hear it anyway!

BiffleRoo · 16/12/2015 09:25

belle I'd say girl from your scan pic, are you finding out?

Louise34567 · 16/12/2015 09:26

Tatted my scan is on the same day as yours - 21st! Can't wait. Only five days now. My due date is 30th June, although I'm hoping that changes and they bring it forward a bit! :)

beano ugh don't get me started on chicken. I know exactly what you mean. Both times I've had it, I've heaved so much after. There's something slimy and smelly about it. Now I can't so much as go near it ... so I'm hoping my in-laws understand when I leave the chicken/turkey over Christmas dinner ... I shall have to squint and pretend it's not even on the table.

biscuits your DH's remark about the nub theory made me laugh!
