Well I can't believe I am doing this but I am petrified the old thread is about to get filled up and we are going to loose people. ...

Happy New Thread (fingers buffering crossed this works AND I can manage to post the link Confused )

Oh I forgot... nightmares! I've been having some awful ones where there's something wrong with the baby or I'm miscarrying. Then last night I dreamt that we'd had the baby and my DH and I realised we just didn't know what babies actually wear. We spent the dream wrestling with various combinations of babygrows and vests. A much more realistic dream I think- this one is very likely to come true Smile

Eastend2015 · 09/01/2016 11:25

Phew- catching up on the thread and am so reassured that a few of you have felt less movement this week. Coming up to 17 weeks but felt less flutters this week than last. I think it's because I've hardly moved from the sofa this week with my cold. My DH has just left for a week skiing so I'm feeling quite lonely- I went to a pregnancy yoga class this morning and got a bit freaked out by all the massively pregnant women!!

PrincessPunzie · 09/01/2016 11:50

I haven't felt any movement at all yet (lots of twinges, but those are me, not baby) and I have very little in the way of weight gain/bump at almost 19 weeks - just a slightly less toned tummy than previously, that sometimes sticks out a little in the evenings. I thought I was starting to show a week ago but then it all receded again. I'm relieved that I have a nice early scan (on Weds at 19+3) because with so little physical evidence of this pregnancy I'm finding it impossible not to worry. I've had lots of women praise me for how small I still am at almost the half way mark, but that just makes me worry more! I wonder if the worry actually gets less once we're all past half way, or does it just change form when we find new things to worry about?!

Belleboo23 · 09/01/2016 11:53

Good luck with your scan today!!
Dh booked us a 3d gender scan for the 20th January can't wait x

jbiscuits · 09/01/2016 12:09

princess get used to people commenting on your bump size. It would worry me with DS when people said I was looking small for x weeks pregnant, until I realised I could get both "your bump is tiny!" and "you're getting huge" comments on the same day Hmm I started ignoring them after that!

PrincessPunzie · 09/01/2016 12:21

jbiscuits how funny! Mind you, one advantage of having no discernible bump is that people leave my tummy alone! I will freak the moment someone tries to touch it - even my husband isn't allowed most of the time! Weird how it's open season when it comes to expectant ladies and their stomachs - just say what you want and prod where you like, eh? Wink

mrsmugoo · 09/01/2016 14:43

It's a girl!!

Betty79 · 09/01/2016 14:44

Hi ladies, trying to catch up with the thread. Hope everyone is well. Can't believe I'm 18 weeks tomorrow. Feels like time is going quicker now.

For those talking about movement, I'm sure I felt more with my previous pregnancies than this one but then it's 10 years ago so hard to remember! I have had the odd small kicks now and then but nothing regular. I'm not worried, I have a little listen with my Doppler every few days to make sure all is well.

Good luck with your scan mrsmagoo Smile

Betty79 · 09/01/2016 14:45

Oh can anyone tell me how to add myself to the Facebook group?

Spock27 · 09/01/2016 15:42

Congratulations mrsmugoo! I'm fairly sure i'm in team pink too, will find out a week on Monday :)

Betty79 · 09/01/2016 16:04

Oh u posted just before me mrsmagoo, congrats on your little girl!

mrsmugoo · 09/01/2016 16:28

I'm shocked, absolutely blown over by it! I'm over the moon of course but I was convinced I was going to get a 2nd boy.

It feels so lovely to start referring to her as a "she", not an "it".

And anterior placenta confirmed which is why I've had barely any movements.

nehagarg · 09/01/2016 16:35

Aah! I remember you were pretty sure that it was a boy. Congratulations. Must be amazing to find out finally.

mrsmugoo · 09/01/2016 16:40

Are you finding out on Monday nehagarg?

nehagarg · 09/01/2016 17:08

Yep. For sure. Began with being sure its a boy. Now feeling it might be a girl. Blush Either way. Cant wait to find out. In fact I am so excited that the prospect of finding out is keeping me sane about the actual "anomaly" part if the anomaly scan.

mrsmugoo · 09/01/2016 17:19

I'm excited for you!

jbiscuits · 09/01/2016 17:20

Congrats mrsmugoo

I think we've decided to find out now (scan is Thursday). I've convinced myself it's a girl so want to find out either way. (Might also make choosing names a bit easier!)

bikingintherain · 09/01/2016 17:32

It's funny isn't it the way you convince yourself your having a particular sex? I think we're having another boy. But I have I rhyme or reason.

Having decided we're finding out the next 9 days cannot go fast enough!

MollieRos · 09/01/2016 17:45

Congratulations mrsmugoo! We have our scan on Tuesday, I'm really impatient to find out if it's a boy or a girl. nehagarg I'm also focussing on the exciting boy/girl part rather than the possibility of finding problems. I have no feeling of what I think we're having. I really hope the baby co-operates and lets the sonographer have a look!

mrsmugoo · 09/01/2016 17:46

My conviction that I would be having a boy stems from being pregnant first time and no joke, everyone said "oh you will have a boy" not one person thought I would have a girl. I got a bit upset by it because I was like, why don't they think I can be the mum of a girl?!

But then DS turned out to be a boy and everyone said I told you so but I love being the mum of a boy so much that I then just convinced myself I would only have boys.

jbiscuits · 09/01/2016 17:56

I think the only reason I've convinced myself it's a girl is that we've found a girl's name that I absolutely love, and will be a bit disappointed if I don't get to use it. No boys' names are coming close at the moment!

PrincessPunzie · 09/01/2016 18:12

Same here jbiscuits - I picked out our girl name as soon as I found out I was pregnant, and DH loves it. We can't agree on a single name for a boy (and I've thrown every name that I even slightly like at him, only to have them all rejected!) God only knows what this poor child will be called if it's male...

bikingintherain · 09/01/2016 18:16

I find boys names so tricky too! We didn't decide on DS name until about half an hour after he was born.

TattedPixie · 09/01/2016 18:27

I've got names for both, just OH is being picky on the boy name.
Gotta wait til 3rd Feb to find out

mrsmugoo · 09/01/2016 18:34

We had a boy name and a girl name all picked out but now we know it's a girl were discussing a couple of other possibilities too.
