Happy New Thread (fingers buffering crossed this works AND I can manage to post the link Confused )

Urrgghh crazy pregnancy dreams tonight, the most resent being something like mum throwing up because she was really drunk when she should have been at school {which was in the garden) and my dad and me telling her she needs to clear it up herself. Bizarre, especially as she hardly ever drinks.

I need to get round to booking my scan but now I'm really excited to do it after hearing all the lovely stories!

nehagarg · 05/01/2016 05:09

Biking same here. I have had it with crazy pregnancy dreams. Tonight DH cheated on me. Woke up really angry at him before realising it was a dream. Poor thing has been consoling me for the past 10 minutes without knowing why I woke up so upset. Lol. 2 days ago he fell down a waterfall and died in my dream. I need to lay off the poor guy.

What nonsense. And I am awake since 4 AM again!!! This is so annoying! Hopefully you have managed to go back to sleep.

bikingintherain · 05/01/2016 05:50

No, but I was reading a long thread about crazy PILs. I'm grateful mine are very normal!

iamdivergent · 05/01/2016 07:18

16wk midwife appt this afternoon, I'm only back to work this morning and I'll need to leave early! Hopefully get to hear the heartbeat Smile

Belleboo23 · 05/01/2016 10:36

Thanks Betty definitely going to look in to it. I'm 16 weeks today so could go next week which is exciting!! Dh started looking at bigger cars yesterday think the 3 kids be too squashed in the back of the one we have, we used to have a kia sedona now wishing we hadn't got rid of it lol so looking at those again. Can anyone recommend any other people carriers, not keen on zafira types because not much room in the back seats or boot space!

kezod · 05/01/2016 12:06

Afternoon ladies, so much to catch up on in only a few days, I had meant to just nip on and an hour later....
My sickness caught me very unaware, I would set off to go driving and get about 200yrds and wow, just manage to pull over and unleash the vomit, and a few times I nearly didn't make it to the loo (which would have been v awkward in friends houses!)
I didn't get a bump until about 21wks last time and now at 16 I can see it popping out, but still managing to hide it well from the world. I've had a few light flutters and kicks in the same place as your eastend which is where I presume the feet are!
RE Facebook, last time I didn't put a single thing up there and we didn't find out the gender, and this time I want to do it all so differently, so we're finding out and probably announcing it on FB at after the 20 wk scan.

BiffleRoo · 05/01/2016 12:15

belle I have Laguna estate at the moment which fits all 3 comfortably in the back. We need 7 seats now so either Galaxy, vw sharan or seat Alhambra which all have big boots and room on back seats for my tweens.

AmIseeingRight · 05/01/2016 12:24

hi all.. its been a few weeks. Hope everyone had a lovely christmas and new year. Cant believe how quick the weeks have gone by.

I'm 19 weeks but not much of a bump but everyone says first pregnancy its doesn't alway show till later. Also not felt movements/flutters and as my mw did not listen to heartbeat @ 16wk, I opted to do a scan more for reassurance and finding out gender was a bonus. iamdivergent just be aware she might not listen to heartbeat.

We found out that we are having a boy so another for team blue & now bought a few items on sale. We paid £39 at babybeyond @ mothercare, they were lovely and would recommend them.

I'm with the ladies who are still having random sickness/nausea just comes and goes as it wishes Hmm but feel so much better than those first 14 wks.

it all feels more real Grin

Belleboo23 · 05/01/2016 12:37

That's great biffle thanks will get him to check those out, we have a Peugeot at the minute definitely won't fit dds booster, a baby seat and ds will be 13 by then so no chance. Think we going to go for 7 seats for the extra space

bikingintherain · 05/01/2016 12:49

Just booked my 20 week scan for the 18th Jan. Very excited!

We've recently bought a Zafira, we wanted seven seats so when the baby is here it's possible to occasionally transport patents/visitors easily who fly over to see us. I think it will do us well as a family, but wouldn't wanted to regularly be using 6 or 7 seats as its not the easiest to get the middle seats in and out when there are child seats on them, especially isofix ones.

Eastend2015 · 05/01/2016 13:00

Thanks Kezod! That's reassuring. I kindof imagined the baby would move around more so I'd feel flutters in different places but what you say makes sense!

Been hit by a cold here too, so curled up on the sofa with an iced bun, a cuppa and the cats 😓

Amiseeingright congratulations!

jellybelly85 · 05/01/2016 13:48

Just got back from 16 week appointment. Same as AmIseeingRight I didn't get to hear the heartbeat - midwife said they were too small at this stage.

All clear on the screening test front. Really grateful to have a lovely and understanding midwife this time - made a nice change from my booking appointment at the hospital which felt really impersonal. No flutters yet, I don't think.... good luck to others having scans today/soon!

iamdivergent · 05/01/2016 13:57

Just finished 16wk appt. Got to hear the heartbeat which was fab, nice low bp and clear urine - that's me until 25wks (apart from scan which is 4 wks today).

Hips/pelvis are clicking away and I'm waddling already! Midwife said to contact her if it doesn't see and she will see about referral to physio - she wasn't concerned as it's my third and said my body knows what to to get things ready for labour so likely just that.

bikingintherain · 05/01/2016 14:54

I really enjoy feeling the flutters, they're not regular or even very strong but enough to know it's the any. I find it very reassuring and makes the whole thing feel much more real. In a way morning sickness never could !

clarish84 · 05/01/2016 15:54

I have 4 children already and we have a mazda 5 . With all seats up there isn't much of a boot so we bought a roof box but as my oldest is 15 he don't often want to come places with us anyway . I love my mazda it just feels more like a big ish car then a huge van like some of them do . And it has sliding doors which I love and would recommend to anyone with kids . So easy to get them all in and out x

Belvedere · 05/01/2016 16:38

Uh oh. Just bought my first bottle of gavison. Only 21 weeks left of taking it. Bleugh!

Potkettleblack2 · 05/01/2016 18:34

Belvedere I'm on the gaviscon too-it seems too early! I guess it's earlier because all the indulgence over the last few weeks!
My first new (and maybe only one
as we have loads) babygrow was delivered today-v exciting and so tiny!

Belleboo23 · 05/01/2016 19:55

Thanks clarish will add that to the list aswell! I prefer the sliding doors that's what our sedona had its definitely much easier, we nearly got a Renault espace a year or so ago but it had a few faults so not sure if thats put me off them now

mrsmugoo · 05/01/2016 19:57

Oh god I was main lining gaviscon last time - bloody breech baby up in my ribs right to the end!

Belleboo23 · 06/01/2016 07:48

First day back for dd and I have to do school run and I throw up, gone all Christmas aswell just feeling sick alot but on a plus the nausea has lifted a bit for now!! 16+1 wish this would end!!

bikingintherain · 06/01/2016 07:52

Just we reading the thread about a lady who thinks she has a tape worm, am now very concerned flutters from baby is in fact a tape worm. No reason to suspect actually so but that thread has freaked me out!

mrsmugoo · 06/01/2016 08:38

My DS's first day back at nursery yesterday and he fell asleep on the sofa at 6:15 with a half eaten rice cake in his hand - so cute! I put him to bed early at 7 and he slept solidly til 7:30am- they must really have tired him out! I'm also very happy to stay in bed until 7:30 and I slept so much better but crazy dreams OMG!

17caterpillars1mouse · 06/01/2016 08:53

I had weird dreams too about our bed being haunted by an old man. Wtf!

Louise34567 · 06/01/2016 09:00

Wow this thread has rocketed!! I have been away for the past few weeks so am reading through everything now :)

laughingGnomette · 06/01/2016 09:21

mrsmugoo - aahhh how sweet! I hope your DS slept well last night.

My mum is coming to visit in just over a week so we're booking a surprise 3D/gender scan for her to attend.

I've got a horrid cold, I'm so congested it's painful (banging headache too). Really missing not being able to take all the cold and flu drugs :(

Crazy dreams here too, very vivid and very x-rated!! Shock
