Emma I didn't have a bump with my first at my 20 week scan! It kind of popped out soon after that but I've never got big with either of them. I'm 16 weeks tomorrow with number 3 and have a very very tiny bump can still wear most of my normal clothes just had to ditch a pair of low rise jeans so far

PrincessPunzie · 04/01/2016 17:26

Emma I'm 18+1 and still had a flat tummy a week ago. Even now I'm the only one who can see my "bump" - no one else can tell it's there yet unless I stick my tummy right out for them. But In the last few days there's a definite hard lump down low in my pelvis where there wasn't one before. I'm sure yours will be along soon!

My midwife chased up my 20 week scan today and I'm ever so glad she did as it's next Wednesday! I'll only be 19+3 but I'm glad it's sooner rather than later.

Betty79 · 04/01/2016 17:39

So we had our gender scan today and we're team pink!! So that's dp totally outnumbered! My girls are very happy to be getting another sister. The scan was lovely, got some nice shots. This one is my fave with its hands behind its head relaxing Smile

Very cool. Congratulations Betty

I cant wait for mine now next week!! All this excitement is too much!!

mrsmugoo · 04/01/2016 18:04

Congrats Betty on your pink bump - are all the confirmed bumps pink so far?!

JellyBaby26 · 04/01/2016 18:20

Emma I didn't get a bump until late 20's last time.

This time it's a mum tum being pushed up by my uterus that looks like a bump!

I think the below pic was 24 weeks - and I was hugely sticking my tum out!

Spock that's exactly how I feel! Excited doesn't even come into it yet I don't think, but people keep saying I must be really excited. We thought the same for finding out whether we're having a boy or a girl- I'm hoping it'll help me to feel a bit more connected to the pregnancy. I'm feeling a bit worried that I just don't seem to be getting my head round it any better, and I'm 19 weeks tomorrow- time's ticking away!

Also, I was feeling loads of flutters and little bumps over the past week or two, but I haven't felt any movement at all in the past 3 days (which has coincided with me not feeling nauseous at all). I really hope everything's ok in there, it's making me really worried. I also (TMI coming up!) had lots of pinky discharge yesterday, and a couple of times some sort of solid stringy brown mucus with bits of bright red blood in. 20wk scan is a week tomorrow so I suppose I'll just have to wait till then to find out how things are doing, but it's making me feel really concerned.

LouLou030783 · 04/01/2016 18:33

Think team pink is outnumbering the blue at moment congrats xxx

GrubbyWindows · 04/01/2016 18:36

mollie if you are worried you should totally ring the midwife, there is no point driving yourself crazy, even just for a week- that's what they are there for!

Hello thread! I have given up on trying to catch up on the posts over Christmas, I hope everyone had lovely ones. I know we are all going to have pretty interesting 2016s!!

Belvedere · 04/01/2016 18:37

Mollie I think it's totally normal at this stage to not feel regular movements so try not to worry. I rarely feel anything either which does feel worrying but looking online and speaking my midwife it's totally normal up to 24 weeks.

Congrats on the pink news! I keep saying pink news but am actually determined my pink won't be wearing pink!! Grin

laughingGnomette · 04/01/2016 18:46

Aahhhhh! Lovely scan Betty! Lots of pinks in the group now :)
I'm almost certain I'll be having another boy. We'll see!

Spock27 · 04/01/2016 18:52

Mollie I'm glad I'm not the only one! I wouldn't worry about the movements, I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and haven't felt anything yet. And I think blood can be caused by lots of things but my midwife told me to get anything like that checked anyway for peace of mind. Hope all goes well at the scan!

I ordered belly buds, headphones for the bump :) I read some reviews that parents who play music they played whilst pregnant helped baby settle more easily, worth a shot!

Lovelybeano · 04/01/2016 18:53

That's it, the world of Facebook knows 🙈 , no hiding now, I'm 16 weeks now so it's not too early I don't think, the news would've got round soon anyway now the kids know and they're back to school tomorrow.

PrincessPunzie · 04/01/2016 19:42

beano I'm wondering if we should "come out" on Facebook once I've had the 20 week scan and told work. Because I keep going to post (non-baby-related) stuff then thinking perhaps I'd better not in case someone posts an innocent reply that gives me away! I don't really want to announce, but I'd rather do that than be outed. Hmm...

TattedPixie · 04/01/2016 19:49

Have any of you ladies had random panic attacks since getting pregnant? I've had about 4 since I had my scan a fortnight ago. Gonna tell my midwife tomorrow and see what she says

Violet88 · 04/01/2016 19:55

Mrsmugoo nope mine and Clarish's are blue - but we are definitely outnumbered so far!!

cautiousoptimist1 · 04/01/2016 20:40

Lovely scan Betty.

I don't have much of a bump either and am 16+5, I don't think I've felt movement yet either.

Is anyone else suffering with lower back pain? I know it's a normal symptom but Jis is in the bony part of my back, like the back of my hips if that makes sense. It's ok most of the time but has woken me up twice now and hurt to walk at one point today. I haven't taken anything so am telling myself it can't be that bad but more concerned as to whether this is normal or the pelvic pain that some of you have already spoken about?

cautiousoptimist1 · 04/01/2016 20:41

This not jis!!

mrsmugoo · 04/01/2016 20:49

Oh I missed the blue announcements violet! Congrats on your boys - I have a boy and would be so, so happy to have another one!

nehagarg · 04/01/2016 21:04

cautious mine is the same spot as yours I think. Lower back, left, literally at the hip bone. Doesnt hurt all the time. When I walk and bend. Pelvic exercises help. Midwifehas also referred me to a physio next week so please call your midwife and get her to refer too.

These are the exercises that helped me. Hope yours fades away soon. Its quite annoying.

Eastend2015 · 04/01/2016 21:19

Me too ladies! Thanks for the exercise suggestions and fingers crossed it passes. Keeping moving seems to work, or standing on one leg and gently standing as straight as I can for about a minute at a time :-/

Belleboo23 · 04/01/2016 21:32

Betty lovely scan picture how far along are you I'd really like to get a 3d one

cautiousoptimist1 · 04/01/2016 21:37

Thank you nehagarg I will give those exercises a try. Good to know I'm not on my own!

Betty79 · 04/01/2016 22:43

Thanks ladies, belle I'm 17 weeks 1 day.

It took a while to get the gender shot as she was on her head and had her ankles crossed so her legs were together, little monkey. I had to go to the toilet and do a bit of jumping around which did the trick. It was nice as I took my dd's and mum as well as dp, so we all saw it.

Eastend2015 · 04/01/2016 23:31

Congrats on all the scans and gender news. We are team yellow!

On the baby movements front, I've been having relatively regular prods/ flutters for a while (now 16 weeks) but pretty much always on the left hand side. Not on the far left but a couple of inches left and below my belly button. I kindof expected to feel it as much on the right hand side but maybe only once or twice. Is that normal? I know most people don't feel movement for a while yet so I'm not too worried but interested if others have had the same.
