Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 41sr grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

honey/thurs i used to have aura (the visual disturbances often associated with migraines) pre-pregnancy, but it rarely developed into even a headache...Drs were confused, and it was annoying as it meant some didn't want to prescribe me the combined pill Angry
i think migraines are fairly poorly understood, but i would definitely get mw's opinon on it, especially if it's new since pg.

pee dont even joke about not being able to have xmas cake!!!!!!

i didn't FB until after 20w scan; DH had put something crytic up afetr 12w, but most people didn't know what he was hinting at :)

sky my Mothercare email helpfully said this thismorning "You could still be feeling weepy, even though you're in the more stable second trimester. Remember it's just your hormones" ...last week i cried because the dog puked on the carpet

Peenut · 07/12/2015 10:29

Ha ha Tea! A 'hefty beast' of a Christmas cake! Sounds like a goodun! Mine weighs a ton, almost strained myself lifting it from the cupboard to feed it last night. It smells AMAZING!

Pud I've moved to Yorkshire from Liverpool and the cheese and cake thing is a new revelation –they have a lot of sense here in Yorkshire! (For some stuff, mostly cake based sense. Parkin is another excellent Yorkshire invention.)

JCandy Facebook lock down settings will be activated shortly from operation Silent Santa mission control!

Mermaid36 · 07/12/2015 11:05

Meh. Actually feeling quite normal this morning. I slept more last night than I have done in the last 2 weeks and I haven't felt sick or rubbish at all.

Now I'm panicking that there might be a problem because I don't feel like shit... Confused

FeatheredTail · 07/12/2015 11:09

#poohwatch - Pretzel I went Tuesday-Saturday without a pooh this week!! Bloody iron tablets.

The poohs I've had since have not been satisfactory at all. I don't feel that lovely light post-pooh feeling but am not sure because there's a baby in my womble or just loads more pooh to come.

And my bumpie I posted on Wednesday - transpires it was mostly pooh.

And my DH, who has been gently patting/rubbing what he thought was the baby - nope, turns out he's been lovingly rubbing my BOWELS.

F*cking pooh!!!!

TriJo · 07/12/2015 11:36

NCT classes booked for late Jan/most of Feb (5 Wednesday evenings, we're doing the Essentials course) - another bit done and out of the way. We'll probably be one of the first due dates in ours, the group is mid-March to end of April due dates.

SecondCupOfTea · 07/12/2015 12:11

Grin @ feathered

Don't worry about fluctuating symptoms mermaid cos just as you get yourself all worked up about it, they come back with a vengeance. I was nervy for weeks as I had no MS, seems I'm just one of the lucky ones. Of course now it's less worrying as I can feel the little blighter knocking to get out all the time!

pretzelpieces · 07/12/2015 12:16

feathered Grin Tuesday to Saturday though, blimey.

mermaid we've all had that worry at some point. Be reassured that symptoms come and go and unfortunately you can't tell anything from having or not having them Flowers

weeps over wanting cake so much

Peenut · 07/12/2015 12:18

I know that feeling Mermaid! Don't worry, something new will happen tomorrow and enjoy not feeling like death today.

Feathered –poopie than than a bumpie! Grin

Good organising Tri.

If you want to waste five minutes look at this cool animation of how all your internal organs, and poo, move in pregnancy!

Emptying the fridge so I can fill it up with pre made meals for when the baby arrives. So this week I will mostly be eating Magnums. It is the selfless behaviour that is leading to my chubby face. Taking one for the team.

KeepTheHope · 07/12/2015 13:30

Oh feathered that made me laugh Thanks

Pud that is very selfless, you basically deserve a medal Star

So no actual puking today but have felt nauseous and quite dizzy for a while. Found some biscuits in the cupboard at work which seem to have helped a bit. Pregnancy is very strange.

jellypi3 · 07/12/2015 13:31

morning viroids!

sympathies to those of you who have been outed by friends/relatives. When we told a friend of ours she told her whole family who we see occassionaly, I was only 6 weeks. Grrr!

Loving the poo updates, i'm weirdly being successful at going every day at the moment, it's a breakthrough compared to early pregnancy when I was going once or twice a week!!

I got the most amazing gift from a client today, i'll take a picture later to show you all, so nice.

SecondCupOfTea · 07/12/2015 13:34

I'm impressed Pud. It's a hard job us upduffed wimmim have at times. Try to balance out the ice cream with oven chips and fishfingers, if you can manage it

MollyBloomYes · 07/12/2015 13:57

I HATE Facebook for outing! You shouldn't have to tell people not to share news like that on your behalf but people really do lose their brains when it comes to posting!

Thanks for well wishes everyone, would so love to be done early but we'll see. If I do go into labour they'll try and get me a c section but have told me to be prepared to be low down on the priority list which is fair enough. Need antibiotics for gbs in case of natural delivery though so as soon as twinges become real I'd be at hospital. But I'll probably be hanging on grimly til due date. I keep thinking team pink too...

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 07/12/2015 14:00

Feeling a bit fraudulent today. People keep asking if I am desperately excited about the baby arriving soon, and how I must be really looking forward to it...but in reality I feel total apathy. Enforced sobriety aside, being pregnant is nice. People are nice to you. You can sleep whenever you want with no judgement. Stretchy trousers are actively encouraged.

Why would I be excited to exchange that for a screaming, crapping baby that never lets me sleep? Really am quite worried that they will hand me the baby and I will feel absolutely nothing whatsoever Sad

Who was asking about migraines?

I went through a phase where I had one practically every day for a good week or so during the second trimester. Proper impaired vision, flashing lights sort of thing. My blood pressure is always low/the lower end of normal as well. Midwife didn't seem bothered once she checked my blood pressure history, and because it seemed to have stopped.

Judging from other replies on here, it seems like it might just be a hormone thing, as it doesn't seem particularly rare. If you had high BP last time, might it be worth investing in a blood pressure checker thing from boots?

oneyorkshirepud · 07/12/2015 14:19

Ha ha Keep the sarcasm in your post made me spit out my tea laughing! Re: the biscuits, I had to eat constantly in the first tri so that I didn't feel sick/dizzy. I just kept dry crackers in my draw and would nibble on them while teaching. I told the kids I was doing loads of extra running training oh, the irony and that my metabolism had shot up! I did have a particularly tricky class that I couldn't even take a breath during and therefore couldn't eat, which was fine until I got really dizzy and fell into the whiteboard. #Professional. I think you teach little ones though so you can probably munch without having to make up ridiculous excuses!

ThursdayLastWeek · 07/12/2015 14:50

Hello viroids, just popping in to let you know that I spoke to a MW this morning - and as my BP and urine were fine last week she thinks it's probably just one of those things.

Of course I'm relieved that there's nowt wrong with my placenta, but I was hoping they wouldn't just be for no reason. I don't like felling ill!

Never mind, I'll go back and read through properly now.

KeepTheHope · 07/12/2015 15:09

Pud I work for a local private music school on the business side rather than teaching so only have to deal with mainly parents and a few students. Being hidden behind a desk makes it quite easy to sneakily eat if I slouch in my chair a bit. Just come home for a few hours and back into his evening, I've hidden the rest of the biscuits in the back of the drawer for later!

Thurs good news that nothing is wrong but it must be frustrating not having a reason for feeling rubbish. I hope you're feeling better soon Thanks

It's my first appointment with the midwife tomorrow morning, was there anything anyone wish they'd have known to ask or confirm when they had theirs? Of course I know I can ask you ladies all my stupid questions anyway!

jellypi3 · 07/12/2015 15:12

keep my first appointment was just family history etc. so i didn't have many questions. Although i'd deffo ask for a number if you need to reach anyone if you are worried about anything!!!

apparently my breast feeding session has been cancelled tomorrow, it was our last nct sesion and i was really looking forward to learning about breast feeding more. I'm really hoping it's not next week as i'm out 3 out of 5 week days!!

MollyBloomYes · 07/12/2015 15:45

Keep with both pregnancies I've forgotten to get my medical exemption form signed and had to chase! Get that done, you can't get anything too exciting prescribed during pregnancy but FREE DENTAL!

Jelly that's really annoying and it's good to be informed but I honestly learnt everything I needed with breastfeeding by doing. Others may be different but I found it tricky to imagine how the theory would work until I had an actual baby in my arms! My midwife gave me a good dvd last time at one of my later appointments that looked like it was fairly standard NHS issue, maybe ask yours if they have anything like that?

ThursdayLastWeek · 07/12/2015 15:57

I agree with molly jelly - BFing is such a practical skill, with so many variables that it's hard to prepare yourself. Obviously, you want to go, but try not to worry if it's cancelled. It's far easier to access help with a babe in arms!

Maybe you could locate your nearest clinic/cafe for the future?

corgi88 · 07/12/2015 16:14

hello viroids! just catching up after hideous weekend on call. Multiple babies though which was nice - and a set of twins with forceps.... pud you're so right, I now blench every time the forceps come out! eeee imagine! she had a spinal though so it didn't look that bad.
I've mainly been lurking because am only 7+2 and don't feel very preggers currently...no symptoms apart from womble cramps and suddenly ginormous boobs. trying to be grateful for this having had fairly small boobs all my life, but it would be easier if they weren't so sore! OOF! Any good bra recommendations? Am going shopping later. Might just get a cheapish one from M&S. Hope they don't continue on this growth spurt though or I'll have to carry them around in a wheelbarrow!
hhahaha pud I saw your outing. You poor thing! but yay for baby soon! eeeeeeeee!
how is everyone else? 5hell and honey those wiggly lines sound very migraine aura and no doctor worth their salt would give you the COCP because the stroke risk goes rather high! I get them fairly infrequently but now worried will get them more often when pg, and that would be bad news because I literally have to lie down in a darkened room for a day :S gx my brain manages to behave itself with all these hormones.
off to town to get me a bra. whoohoo!

oneyorkshirepud · 07/12/2015 16:22

Corgi, go to M&S and get some of their post - surgery bras. They are AMAZING.

honeysucklejasmine · 07/12/2015 16:27

Corgi I am not allowed the pill anyway. The last doctor who mentioned it (in relation to my endometriosis) told me I was too fat to take it. Hmm Note I didn't want it anyway, so why she shared this gem with me, I don't know.

corgi88 · 07/12/2015 16:34

ooooh I will pop along to M&S thanks pud.
honey how rude of your doctor! is your endometriosis OK now? I guess it calms down in pg if you're not having periods?
have sat by fire for far too long (so has the real corgi) and now we are both too warm to move.... hm. I'm concerned she is actually baking her little head though....

Mermaid36 · 07/12/2015 16:56

Symptoms have returned! 2hr nap, massive dizzy spell, cramps - Yay! sort of

My 2 large dogs are helping by trying to sit on me so I feel better...Hmm
