Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 41sr grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Hmmmm, gyoza. I am well jel Country

Keep you need to. Asap.

They send home dirty babies?! I mean, I know you can leave that white stuff on their skin and it'll sort itself... But blood? Gore? Isn't that an infection risk?

MollyBloomYes · 18/12/2015 16:32

DS was in for a week and we topped and tailed him (or the nurses did in scbu) every day. Just don't think they do the full dunking! He wasn't very gory but was a week overdue and a c section don't know if that makes a difference? He did get stuck in birth canal though as they tried ventouse first so had nearly the full birthing! Plenty of opportunity for gore acquisition!

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/12/2015 16:34

They sort of towel them down - well they did for me (emcs) so they're dry and not covered in gore.

I think some hospitals have baby baths, just not ours!

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/12/2015 16:37

DS didn't even get topped and tailed!

Because he was left with me and I could hardly even get myself to the loo, let alone lift a 9lber, he had absolute minimum care when I was on my own. He has a little scar on his chest where I picked him up badly and scraped him with my fingernail - oops

Hobbit19 · 18/12/2015 16:37

Country baby could be having a growth spurt. (That's been my excuse for the last 9 months anyway).

Yes Gouda have packed newborn, 1st month and 0-3 months. I've put them into ziplocked bags labelled small, medium and large, so DH can just ask the midwife what she thinks of the size of the baby and then pick the appropriate sized bag! We are planning a water birth too so baby gets a bit of a free wash on the way out. Grin

P.s. now I want a wagamamas!

The midwives at our MLU teach you how to bath the baby whenever you are ready!

Out of office up, we are off for Christmas :)

About time too, I am bloody wrecked. Flying home on Sunday and I'm thinking happy thoughts about a cup of tea with my mum and having my little niece making everyone laugh.

CarrotPuff · 18/12/2015 17:19

DS was born in the pool so that was his first bath Grin

I wouldn't bother with 0-3 months pud, it's very rare you'd have such a huge baby that would go straight into those.

It looks like I won't be able to go to the do anyway. DP is meant to pick up DS from nursery but he's sat in traffic on M25. So I have to go get him. This is the last thing I want to do, I'm do bloody shattered...

fruitlovingmonkey · 18/12/2015 17:22

Mmm gyoza! I really want someone to bring me Wagamama's now!
It's weird that they don't wash the baby, especially if you stay in hospital a while. I think they teach you how to do it before you leave here, same as yours Pud.
Glad everything is ok for you JC and hope baby Candy is getting ready to make an appearance. Looks like we might have a festive baby boom.
I have spent a lot of today sleeping. I hope this means I'm recovering, I can't face any more shit tv.

honeysucklejasmine · 18/12/2015 17:50

Fruit did you see the doctor in the end? Get any good tips for surviving blocked nose hell?

fruitlovingmonkey · 18/12/2015 18:01

I did Honey, she prescribed antibiotics but I am a bit worried about taking them so she also gave me some natural stuff to try first- herbal tablets for clearing sinuses, something to inhale and a saltwater nasal spray. The inhalation thing is great. She said don't blow your nose too hard, it feels like it's making it better but actually it can make it worse. I'm starting to feel a bit better, although I vommited from coughing yesterday and today. Will see how I am tomorrow before deciding on the antibiotics. How are you feeling now?

KeepTheHope · 18/12/2015 19:58

So I was just crouched down looking for something at work and fell backwards onto my bum. Baby will be ok right? Just need a bit of reassurance. It's been about half hour and I now have a slight soreness on the right hand side of my pelvic area but I think I'm jut overthinking it and it's nothing I wouldn't have had anyway. I realise this is probably stupid and trivial I'm just overthinking it a bit - it's my first real worry!

honeysucklejasmine · 18/12/2015 20:05

Keep baby is tucked nicely in your pelvis, don't worry. If you are sore its more likely you bruised your coccyx a little.

Fruit only really snotty in the early hours now. Progress!

KeepTheHope · 18/12/2015 20:07

Honey that's what I needed to hear, thank you. I am normally a sensible person so really I knew that but just needed someone else to say it (if that makes sense).

honeysucklejasmine · 18/12/2015 20:19

We've all been there Keep. Get used to the worry, it won't ever go away Wink

YouBastardSockBalls · 18/12/2015 20:22

It'll be fine keep Smile
During last pregnancy I was regularly kicked in the womble by a sleeping toddler when they crawl into bed early morning. Worried every time but it was fine. They're surprisingly tough.

Having said that, I'm worrying today too, as I suspect that the shits and nausea was a bug as DS has started with it, and I now have seemingly no symptoms whatsoever except mild scar pain and tiredness.

I'm being silly, I know.

KeepTheHope · 18/12/2015 21:56

Thanks YB. And don't worry about symptoms. I'm slowly learning they're unpredictable and not to be relied on! Thanks

jellypi3 · 18/12/2015 22:51

Aww keep try not to worry. I liked the analogy that in early pg baby is like a seed in a jar of jam. No matter how that jar gets shaken the seed won't move. Baby is very well protected.

I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and the mw's weren't too concerned even then!

KeepTheHope · 18/12/2015 23:47

Love that analogy jelly, thank you. I'll remember that one. Sorry to hear you fell down the stairs! Glad you and baby are ok though.

Illiria · 19/12/2015 02:24

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it.

Pretsel - glad your blood sugars are under control.

Molly - don't worry about it. All the best for baby's b'day.

I spent 9 hours in a & e today, was having contractions again and was absolute agony, almost fainted while they were doing my vital signs. Many tests and some stuff sent to pathology but feel miles better and have been given the OK to fly tomorrow. Very glad uterus wasn't perforated and no need for blood transfusion or hysterectomy which was a possibility if the scans were worse.

DH has officially been amazing, don't think I could have made it without him.

Thanks Chat will do later in the new year when feeling more up to it.

honeysucklejasmine · 19/12/2015 05:27

Oh bless you Ill, it never rsins but it pours, eh? Well done for coping so well. Take care of yourself over Christmas - take it easy, plenty of treats, surround yourself with loved ones. Flowers

DH came back from works do at 11.30, surprisingly sober. He's just now got up to use bathroom which has woken me too. Have done a couple of massive farts Blush and baby has got its wriggle on. So nicer than when I woke up yesterday!

jellypi3 · 19/12/2015 07:41

Morning viroids.

ill take care and hope you can enjoy Christmas a little bit. Thinking of you.

We are in margate for a mates Bday, I gave up about 10:30 and went to bed lol. Dp came back having won 60 quid at the casino so not too bad lol.

However today I have the arse rain. Not impressed as it smells of my chiqito I had last night Xmas Blush

Anyone notice as you get further along you can eat less? I could eat half my dinner last night whereas normally I would polish off food like that easily! I guess at 34 weeks baby is taking up a lot of space?

Peenut · 19/12/2015 08:33

Love that jam analogy Jelly, makes sense! Sorry to hear you have what sounds like Mexican infused trots. Ouch!

I went out with my old work colleagues last night, one of them wasn't drinking and announced she is 15 weeks with baby number 3!

Think I totally revealed my own secret by asking loads of questions and giving some lame excuse about why I wasn't drinking Wink Nobody asked though!

When officially pregnant friend said she was exhausted and off home at 9:30 I wanted to be like 'me tooooo!' I shuffled off soon after ... Sleepy alert!!! That was rather embarrassingly my first attempt at socialising past 10pm in ten weeks. I was delirious and dizzy by the time I got home!

Can't be bothered doing parkrun even though I'm at my mums and there is one round the corner! 😴💤💤💤

Peenut · 19/12/2015 08:33

Flowers Ill - safe flight back today xx

5hell · 19/12/2015 08:34
