Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 41sr grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

I feel for you honey but glad you don't have to work today. I had an ok sleep again last night but still feel completely drained this morning. Good job I have no plans either. PJ day I think Xmas Grin

Peenut · 10/12/2015 09:19

I learn something new every day on here –covering important soft furnishings with protective stuff in case of water breakage! Very prepared ladies. I suppose it's difficult to get amniotic fluid out of the mattress! Ew.

Hope we get some babies soon, and that you very preggo ladies get some kip.

Molly –you are such a yummy mummy. So reasonable and focused on what is right for your kids which must involve SO much self restraint to not throw a heavy object at the massive turd husand's head. I can't believe he's trying to call the shots and like you say, this is his bed. What does he expect to be different? RArrrrr! I hope your baby makes an appearance very soon and HE stops being so turd-like.

I have a midwife appt this afternoon for a blood test ... couldn't find my urine sample jar so have peed in a jam jar, re-embracing the JS way of life peeing in any receptacle there is to hand. Remind me not to swing my handbag wildly.

SecondCupOfTea · 10/12/2015 09:32

Pee I hope you gave it a good clean first, otherwise they'll be throwing the metformin your way Grin

ThursdayLastWeek · 10/12/2015 09:48

Do you know, I never actually considered that my waters might break on my bed/carpet/whatever with DS?! I didn't take a single precaution!

It worked out ok for me, they broke all over the antenatal ward anyways Smile and they really did gush, for what felt like ages too so I'm glad I wasn't at home. Keep those pads at the ready viroids who are nearly there.

jellypi3 · 10/12/2015 09:57

i've not even thought about waters breaking, i've still got a few weeks till that stage is imminent but i guess pudding sheet protectors down works. Or puppy pads? Wink

honey it's the other end. Luckily my granddad drops us off at the station and picks us up, otherwise i'd have to add an extra 25-30 minute walk to that journey! We used to commute in to Fenchurch street in London, and we work literally 4 minutes from there (and lived 4 minutes from the station the other end). We now commute into Liverpool street, which aside from being a horribly busy station is about a 1.3 mile walk, so doable in 20 minutes if you aren't a) waddling and b) fighting through a million other people walking to work!

pee that made me laugh!! jam jar for the win haha!

honeysucklejasmine · 10/12/2015 10:09

Can you not get the tube from Liverpool St Jelly?

Definitely a PJ day JC.

5hell · 10/12/2015 10:16

just dropped ddog off for £2000 worth of MRI and xray (insurance better pay us back!!!)

slept ok (bit of a saucy dream just before waking up Smile although dream did also feature lots of small furry animals - bunnies in particular Confused !?)

bump itchy today

still oving that babysizer website - chubs (as dh calls him) is the size of a packet of oreos/a can of WD40/a dragons egg Grin

pee I just steal tubes from work, as they have yet to give me a receptacle for such things...temp mw was most impressed by it last time!

oneyorkshirepud · 10/12/2015 10:22

A dragons egg?! Ha ha!

I have some maternity pad sheet things (like puppy pads) that my friends give me, ill put a couple under the sheets. I have a carrier bag on car seat already so I can swivel in and out. I'll put one in there too. I reckon I can get off the sofa fast enough to save it. She says. Optimistically.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/12/2015 10:23

Our clinic and the community midwife have a huge pot if empty sample tubes outside. You just help yourself. I collect a new one each time and bring it with me filled up.

ThursdayLastWeek · 10/12/2015 10:29

pud in my (admittedly induced) experience there's no time!
I went from feeling totally normal, to Hollywood style gushing in 10 seconds maybe? It was the weirdest sensation!

Everyone's different of course

FeatheredTail · 10/12/2015 11:15

Ahhh Jelly we commute into the same (horribly busy) station every morning! What a joy! I hope you never spot or recognise me because my face is the picture of misery at commuting hours most days!

I got some horrible news.

We paid nearly £2000 for a deposit towards a new front door 7 weeks ago. A reputable family company based in north London that specialises in gorgeous period doors.

They booked our fitting for next week, took our deposit and had a surveyor over at ours a couple of weeks ago.

Got a letter last night saying they've decided to liquidate the company. It's ceased trading.

So that's nearly 6 months of saving up for a new door....gone. £2,000 we saved up, sweated for...that we're never going to see.

I was strangely quiet and sad last night. This morning I can't stop crying, even though I know it's not the end of the world.

It's just I keep thinking back to how hard I've been saving towards doing our home improvements. I haven't bought clothes for....I can't remember. The idea that the company director, came to our house, knew we were starting a family, could see we weren't rolling in money but STILL took our money knowing she was going to liquidate her company makes me SO ANGRY.

cries tears of anger and self pity

oneyorkshirepud · 10/12/2015 11:18

Feathered, that is terrible it is so much money! Would your insurance not cover it? (I have no idea!) If you paid for it via credit card you may have some cover??

KeepTheHope · 10/12/2015 11:22

Feathered that's absolutely shit! I'm so sorry Thanks

Thanks for you too Molly. I have no better advice than you've already had from other viroids but keep doing what you're doing, you sound amazing.

Sorry I dropped off fred for a couple of days there! I'm having the opposite sleep problem though, absolutely exhausted, limbs feel like lead, could sleep forever. Also, the nausea!!! Oh. My. God. Not actually throwing up much but it's constant. If I don't eat I feel sick. If I eat more than a tiny amount I feel sick. Ergh. Plain salty foods and carbs are my friend. I'm sure it can't be good for baby but I'll make up for it when I can.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/12/2015 11:44

Oh my gosh Feathered! It is so unfair that they are allowed to do that!

FeatheredTail · 10/12/2015 12:05

It is unfair isn't it? Sadly no insurance will cover it and it was paid out of my savings account, so no CC cover.

Going to go to the creditors meeting next week and see whether they had actually made our door/what our chances are of getting the money back.

I'm worried I might actually kill the directors when I see them though.

Keep trying to remind myself it's just money, it's not a disaster on the scale of another MC, or of when we lost our dog.... but it's such an awful lot of money that took so long to squirrel away.

FeatheredTail · 10/12/2015 12:09

....Also got to remember I'm lucky in that 90% of my friends are lawyers. Sadly neither DH or I practise/d insolvency, but a very good friend is an insolvency lawyer. Hoping she can advise on the reality of the situation or the best way of trying to recoup our loss.

MollyBloomYes · 10/12/2015 12:23

Oh feathered that's horrible! How could they do that?! Really hope you can claw something back from them what a nasty thing to do.

I have been perhaps too blasé about waters going. They had to break mine with DS at 40+6 but there's no reason they wouldn't go by themselves this time! Might look out a waterproof mattress protector!

ThursdayLastWeek · 10/12/2015 12:31

Oh Feathered you're perfectly entitled to rail and rage at that injustice. That really is shitty behaviour of the highest order.

Keep your MS/first tri sounds similar to mine. Just eat what/when/how you can, don't worry too much about the baby. The reason you're feeling so rotten is because it's taking everything it needs from you whether you like it or not!

My chilled out day has somehow resulted in totally spring cleaning the sitting room. Not sure how that happened!

Illiria · 10/12/2015 12:50

5hell - poor ddog.

feathered - gods, this is why I feared buying a house and all the responsibility that comes with it.

Nfmv - had a gush of blood last night, not much maybe around 1/2 a teaspoon and was not cramps but as if the inside of my pelvis itched. Phoned hospital and they have arranged an appointment for me in the morning in gynecology dept. going to phone in sick with migraine and spend day on sofa.

Got to sleep but now the rain is keeping me awake.

oneyorkshirepud · 10/12/2015 13:10

Ill that must have been scary, but remember that bleeds can happen for lots of reasons, especially in the first trimester. Keep us updated tomorrow and put your feet up today.

Keep, sympathies for the MS, sounds grim. You can always see your gp for some meds if it is bad, constant nausea can be as debilitating as actual vomiting.

Feathered, I hope you manage to work something out, I will keep my gx for you.

I am looking forward to baby pud arriving but I am going to miss being able to balance my plate on my bump... It is very handy!

fruitlovingmonkey · 10/12/2015 13:16

ill I hope everything is ok. Will they scan you in the morning? Good plan to take it easy.

Shell hope ddog is ok. Must be worrying.

Feathered what a bunch of arses. Gingers crossed you can fight them for your door. Surely it's illegal for them to take your money knowing they are heading towards liquidation? It should be.

Keep are you taking multivitamins? I know they aren't as good as food but they made me feel better about living on bread and salt and vinegar crisps.

The time has come for me to buy a special pillow. I'm really struggling not to sleep on my back. Thinking of getting a Theraline, does anyone have one?

Do you UK viroids have to byo pee to the midwife then? How funny. I do it at the doctor's surgery while I'm there. They have a bathroom and lots of pots to help yourself to.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/12/2015 13:23

I am still being naughty and sleeping in whatever position I damn well want to. If anything, baby kicks more when I am on my right than it does on my left. I do have a dream genii and use it now and then, but mostly just between my legs to support my hips.

pretzelpieces · 10/12/2015 13:36

feathered that's awful. I'm so sorry that happened. What a blow when you've saved hard.

ill gx for you they find all is well.

keep I hope you feel better soon.

I failed to attend a fear of labour class today that the mh MW signed me up for. I think it would have been helpful and it included a tour of the labour ward but I was feeling too sad and tired to go. Frustrating.

Last night at nct I had to leave during the break because I burst into tears when a lady shut me off from a group conversation by moving in front of me with her back to me. Doubt she did it intentionally but that just means she was oblivious to me being there, which is still hurtful. I was tired and fed up anyway. Straw that broke the camel's back. At least I made it to the loos to cry.

5hell · 10/12/2015 13:39

fruit i have the theraline and I (usually) like it. it's filled with very teeny balls so can be much firmer than a normal pillow depending on how you move them around. v comfy for sitting up in bed with, good under leg support when on side and i can see it being useful one chubs is here too.
only complaint is it comes with a cream case which rapidly looks grubby...I need to make a spare cover for it asap.

feathered that is outrageous, infuriating and a million other superlatives! you poor thing! gx you can get something back (even if just a token %)...if not watchdog it!

MollyBloomYes · 10/12/2015 15:11

Oh pretzel Thanks** are you me? That's exactly what I would have been upset by. The worst is you know it's not intentional but still hurts. Really sorry you got upset by it, try to keep going though. Worth a chat to mh midwife? I found cbt quite helpful though really testing those techniques at the moment!
